It’s sad that when everyone was willing to give him another chance it was when he was on his deathbed. I liked how Jamie always believed in him when no one else did, and I could see why his other family members couldn’t forgive him, I just wish the writers didn’t have it wait until he was dying for them to forgive him.
@@allie7574 : To an extent at the core of OTH was the redemption of Dan Scott, just like STAR WARS EPISODE VI was about the redemption of Anakin Skywalker.
@@allie7574 not true whitey have him another chance when they saw each other. Whitey gave him a hug when he saw how bad Dan felt and said maybe he is still here for redemption. Dan had loads to do to prove he changed he litteraly sacrificed himself to save his sun Jamie didn't gave him to much stick because he probably didn't know how bad he was
@@Kyliemichellerose I agree, I liked how he redeemed himself in the adult seasons. And I liked how Jamie always believed in him when he had no one else.
@@allie7574 no one gave him a chance because every time Dan had moments of goodness he threw it away by doing his typical moments. He had loads to do to even prove he can change
Amazing part on the writers to make Dan the most hated character on OTH to the most sympathetic character in the course of a few seasons. At first I just hated Dan, but towards the end I just wanted to hug him. :'(
I started watching this when I was 13 and it ended when I was 22. And I thought that Dan was a monster and I wanted him to die but when he finally did I felt bad because he redeemed himself a little when Hayley had Jamie.
i wouldve loved to c nathan & lucas give logan advice about wht its like to grow up w/o a father since they have first hand experience, its so ironic how the ending kinda mirrors the beginning
Dan in my opinion was never a bad guy or evil he was just deeply misunderstood and filled regret and anger. Jamie did something no one knew was possible he saved Dan Scott he saw the good in him and helped him get redemption.
Damn writters... I have waited for Dan to die for years and then when he finally did all I could do was cry and scream on my TV please don't die...
Especially when you hear behind the scenes stuff.
@@domaneishahammond1391what behind the scenes stuff.. ?

The only villian I end up really liking towards the end.... I just wanted everybody to give him another chance

I always was trying to give him a chance I got a soft spot for him
Dan finding out friends and family wanting to see him is actually really touching.
Dan and Klaus, the only two villains I loved more than most of the main characters on their shows.
The school shooting episode and this episode were the episode that I sobbed the most. Crazy, considering I strongly disliked Dan.
Me too. But started to like him in the ending. I thought they should’ve gave him a second chance.
