IM A BROADCASTER AND AN ACTOR.(there's many incredibly STRANGE things about this man and his life).first....the MOVIE love sick was HORRIBLE.he must have been INSANE when he agreed to do it.OR he hated himself and that justified him doing it.OR he had physical abuse charges pending on him FROM HIS 4 X WIVES.so he did a plea bargain. To get out of those marriages HE thus was FORCED To do love sick.(secondly.Arthur the movie was BRUTALLY LAME at best-a bad movie overall.MEDIOCRE at best acting.HORRIBLE cliche script and TERRIBLE music by the AWFUL SONG VOCALIST Chris cross.(and I saw a documentary on him ADMITTING to the interviewer HOW HE WAS GOING TO PERISH/DIE.(none of it made sense).SO MY POINT HERE IS...........YES A TALENTED MAN..........but yet.......A FREAKY FREAKY FREAKY personal and business life........your replies are welcomed.
Please tell me where I can find info about his freaky personal and business life. I did see one thing about his 4th wife wanting to write a tell-all book, but nothing came of it once his disease was made public.
@@lovingsongs1762My reply is probably too late. But if you are still interested in the subject I highly recommend the biography written about Dudley by his friend Rena Fruchter, it’s beautiful and very informative (it focuses on the last 15 years of his life though, but there are insights about the past as well). His 4th wife was a manipulative, toxic and dangerous person who tried to destroy him as much as she could. She went as far as too physically assault his then biographer Barbra Parkin in the 1990’s when she came to see him for one of their regular interviews. He maintained friendly relationships with his 3 other former wives, especially Suzy Kendall who he remained very close to until the end of his life.
MISS him so much
In this film Dudleys role could have been played by any decent actor, but Elizabeth McGovern was perfect casting for the female lead.
