I had an absolute joy while playing with a new camera from Sony - FX30.
At some point I realized that I have more fun while shooting with FX30 rather than with my Sony a7s III. Can`t really tell why... maybe it`s camera ergonomics, or because Sigma 18-35 is one of my favorite lenses of all times and, unfortunately, I can`t use it on fullframe sensor...
But at the end I shot a lot of beautiful footage, so wait for another couple of videos and camera review.
All footage was shot completely handheld in PP11 - S-Cinetone.

Greetings! I didn't use gimbal for these shots. However, for professional production, I would definitely get one
I depend on autofocus a lot for interviews that I shoot run and gun solo. Do you notice problems with the focus using this lens?
Ah, I see you're using the MC-11. I would love to know how well you think it performs compared to like a new GM II lens

@@333Ayron333 говорят, если использовать спидбустер от вильтрокс (ef-e) то можно добиться полнокадровой картины. Углы становятся шире и диафрагма опускается на F1.2

Привет! Fx30 - отличная камера, если ориентироваться только на видео. Я получил массу удовольствия от съёмки с любимым Sigma 18-35, очень жаль, что нет аналога под фуллфрейм.
Картинка очень пластичная, хорошо грейдится. Но мне не хватало s-log 2, который там, почему-то, вырезан (есть только s-log 3).
Конечно, сложно его сравнивать с a7s iii, так как siii, всё же, лучший в своём классе. Лучше будет только s iv, но это ещё не скоро))
В принципе, снимать крутые видео можно с обеими камерами, но если не хочется мириться с компромиссами, то стоит брать a7s iii.

Thanks a lot! Well, I'm used to that noise, so personally for me, it's 1 out of 10. But objectively, if you don't use external mic, this noise may cause some problems.
Is there that lens for Sony? Or you just an adaptador? I have canon sigma 18-35 1.8 f and Shang to change to Sony fx 30
I used it via adaptor Sigma MC 11. AF works perfectly well 👌 just beware of clicking sound while focusing, you'll have to use an external microphone to avoid it.

How is the autofocus with fx30 s18-35? For the eye detection work?
Hey! Thanks a lot. Autofocus works perfectly like with a native lens, when installed via Sigma MC-11 adaptor 💫 However you`ll hear some focusing noise, so forget about recording sound with a built in microphone (but who does it anyway?..) 😁

You're absolutely right as for adaptor! Works like magic. Just beware of a slight clicking noise if you record sound straight through the camera mic.
Hello! I ask for your help, I switched to Sony equipment and that's it FX 30, I turned it on for the first time! That's the question, I switch between modes in the menu (mode) and moving through the modes the camera makes a sound like (dr dr) is this normal? Is that how it should be?
Well, if for various modes you have different settings that require some mechanical adjustments in the camera or lens, maybe this sound is normal. This sound may be coming from the lens as well.
But I never experienced any weird sounds with a camera itself, so if you have a warranty, I would take it to the service centre for check-up.
@@333Ayron333 These sounds must come from the lens (when changing modes) because I disconnected the lens, left only the adapter Mс-11 and started switching modes again and no sounds. Do you have a sound in the lens with the mode change?

@Назар Степаненко owww, I see 😁 this sound actually comes from the lens focusing system. Almost all old Sigma lenses have this focusing sound. It's completely fine, you just have to record the sound with a long shotgun mic or with wireless audio systems to avoid this sound getting into your videos.

@@atongsalvador4240 mostly I was shooting at f1.8. I didn't follow the rule of cinematic shutter speed here, so it's quite random. ISO, obviously, I kept as low as possible.

Nope, honestly speaking, for this test I was too in a rush to swap filters 😅
@@333Ayron333 You should do a tutorial on your profile setup, my footage without a filter is way too sharp but then again, I'm still a beginner. :)
@kanohane good filter anyway doesn't reduce the sharpness 😁 I shot everything is S-cinetone profile, it looks great!
Also, here's a small lifehack: if your image looks too sharp, you may add 1-2% blur on post-production to make it more pleasing.
That's what I always do with my Galaxy s23 footage :)
What do you thing of the new Sony FX30? Best low-budget cinema camera or overhyped?
I think a7s3 and fx3 like second camera best choice. Fx 30 more sharpe, more noisy, and if you owner of full frame camera with FF lenses its obviously not your choice.
@Стас Грищук obviously fullframe is a better and more versatile option in general. But if someone has a tight budget, in my opinion, fx30 is one of the best options. Not only the camera itself twice cheaper than fx3, but also crop lenses are much cheaper as well.
Otherwise, if someone already has a7s iii, it doesn't make much sense to buy this one 🤷♂️
@@333Ayron333 I did switch from A7s3 to FX30 the only reason was budget and glass. Also I do not work as a Videographer more as a hobby
