- A federal indictment unsealed on Monday charges the six Baltimore men associated with the Black Guerilla Family with six murders, 11 shootings and several other attempted murders and robberies.
"The Black Guerilla Family is the most singular threat to public safety in Baltimore for a decade or longer," said former federal prosecutor Thiru Vignarajah.
Among those charged is Baltimore rapper YGG Tay, whose name is Davante Harrison.

👮♂️⚔️ ~ Makes sense why cops are so often rude and harsh with citizens, and also why they use excessive force, and why sometimes they shoot before people think they should.
When you’re a cop you’re dealing with the worst gang members every single day. And even some of the Young teenagers are gang members. And the ones who are not gang members probably disrespect you as a cop because otherwise they’ll get bullied.
I criticize cops a lot when I think they deserve it, and I definitely criticize the lack of accountability. But there’s a lot of neighborhoods where they have to go through hell and back every single day and the rest of the public doesn’t quite realize the extent.b
The issue I have seen in the cities I have lived Richmond, Baltimore, and phoenix, is the police in high crime neighborhoods don’t live anywhere near where they work. They commute from the suburbs and take on an us vs them mentality. They don’t know anything about the community they police, so it’s more of an occupying army than being civil servants. When cops take on the us against the mindset, or they characterize what they do as a war, or the criminals they are after as animals it’s not hard for the people in the community to come to the conclusion, well they don’t see themselves as serving and protecting me I’m not on their team. It’s a doom loop because the greater the divide between the police and the community gets, the worse crime gets, then the police can use those crimes to justify heavy handed and brutal police strategies. The use of words like thug or when they refer to people as animals…I’m a combat veteran, the first thing an individual must do in war is make the subject an object. You dehumanize your enemy so you don’t have to empathize or feel any guilt. What I will say in favor of police is we as a society ask far to much of them. All of society’s problems fall on police to deal with and we only give them one solution for every problem and that is force and violence.
@@KyleShade- I know a lot of people say the police should live in the communities they serve, but I can see problems with that. It’s easier to retaliate against a cop you don’t like, or their kids suffer the consequence at school, etc. That’s one problem.
“A city growing restless for solutions” yea right the officials in Baltimore LOVE the chaos because it keeps their pockets FULL. I seen the contrast first hand. I was born in Baltimore but I did not grow up there but I tried living there as an adult and a lot of the cities problems are EASY FIXES. They have these news broadcast and make it seem so complicated and make pointless laws that do nothing but put the citizens of Baltimore in an even tighter and rough situation. I seen it with my own eyes you can’t tell me different! I moved back down south and life has been AMAZING!!!!

I just want to add this. Our government has failed us. 1970 they packed up and left Baltimore behind leaving the city with nothing. 1990s the years of pain, violence and uproar. Most of these children stem from the systematic oppression of on mother no father or no parents. We have failed our younger brothers and sisters, what about recreation centers huh ? Basketball courts that actually have goals in them ? After school programs? Support the community and its future leaders. I don’t promote violence but what I do promote is uplifting our communities, we as a people black white hispanic doesn’t matter need to work together and teach our children how to live. That’s the problem today no one cares about living anymore because they don’t know how too. Be apart of the solution not the problem. We failed them, now we must figure out how to teach them. What’s wrong in todays “hood” is there’s no teaching or giving them the tools to be successful. Destruction is all the know, but you have to teach the full cipher, I will continue to pray for these young brothers and sisters and contribute. Get out there and be the difference.
