Interestingly, I did a splitter between the ugreen capture card and the headset and it eliminated the little square issue. I'd suggest trying this: HDMI > Ugreen CaptureCard > Splitter (USB A for data, USB C for charging) and I needed a USB C female to USB A male to plug that in > Splitter to headset I also went splitter to extension so I don't have all that crazy hanging down from me headset. I get full screen with Ugreen baybee
Great video Thanks for your time and dedication, all you have to do if it’s a small screen in the corner is restart both devices and it should fix it to be full screen
I assume the U-Green is also re-branded as other devices. I'm seeing Guermok and Papeaso to name just two. Does anyone have a link to a compatibility matrix to ensure that we can avoid hardware that may have the same issue as the UGreen 3 ?
I can't seem to find an answer anywhere else, so I thought you might know. When using hdmi link to play console games like the Switch, ever video I see shows the screen floating within the mixed reality area. Is there a way to turn that off so you cant see the room around the outside of the screen? So essentially, you have just a full screen in front of you, with black around the rest of the view. Similar to what you might see if you were watching a film. Also, does the screen have to be curved as opposed to flat? Appreciate your help.
Hi! Yes you can do this. In the HDMI Link App there is the option to go to full screen. This gives you the screen in a much larger view. There is then the option to change the background black out. You can fully black out the background or just slightly blur it. 59min 56secs into this video I show it off with the PS5. Let me know if you need more information.
I have a hdmi to usb c now I have a hdmi to usb c now but it doesn't work on my oculus quest 2. For example, if I plug my laptop into a USB port and then connect it to my TV, it works, but it should actually be the other way around with the adapter. Which adapter do I need because the correct one looks exactly the same, no idea which one it is😅
I just bought the vivitar one from Walmart. Wow, it doesn't do what I was hoping because it has HDMI end pieces instead of USB c.. It's probably compatible with quest but how.. It's more made for pc. And it was $25... I wanna keep it, but should I .. Let me know if there's a way to get this working with quest if you can. Good video bruh 💯
I just connected my SLR camera, I take photos of performances from the back of the audience, I usually use a field monitor and now with this im unstoppable. some shows are 3 hours so it gets tiring shooting with the small screen, te battery was drained twices fast when not connected to electric.
What's the best setup for connecting your steam deck? Surprisingly I can't find any videos for the connecting the steam deck that aren't older using something sideloaded.
Hi!! Not sure 100% re the StreamDeck, but this might help to provide power passthrough too - Check this out - ua-cam.com/video/48ENbk_kTvY/v-deo.html - Maybe an alternative for you?
Hey dunno if you got it right but I got my ROG Ally working. I used a UGREEN USB C to HDMI to plug into an HD 60S+ then using a USB C 4.0... displayed out from the card to the oculus quest 2. Totally worked.
From what I found about Ugreen low resolution issues: Yes, I had connected the capture card to a splitter, I changed the edid configuration in the splitter to be the same permitted by the capture card and done. Maybe you need to change the video resolution in your video device. It need to be 1920x1080.
Up to 4K/60Hz High Definition Input, output max resolution 1080P@30Hz. I'm thinking if the hdmilink app is set at 4k/60hz it's causing an incompatible resolution issue.. can you set the resolution in the hdmi link app to 1080p/30hz?
I need some advice please. I’m so lost and confused. I live in the U.S. and I bought the exact same UGreen HD Capture Card from your video using Amazon Prime. And I hooked it up to both my Quest 3 and my PS5 using the exact same steps that you did in Part 5a of this video. But no matter how many times I have tried it, I just keep getting a black screen in the same Quest HDMI Link application that you’re using in your video, even though it shows that it’s connected properly. I can even hear the PS5 main menu, but it is extremely choppy with the sound going in and out. But weirdly enough when I click the screen for the specs it says the exact same thing that yours did: YUYV 1920x1080@60 fps. But the only difference is where your specs showed PCM16 2Ch 0, mine showed PCM16 2Ch 48000. I have no idea what that difference even means, or if it is even related to why it’s not working at all for me, even though I have the exact same three hardware devices as you do in part 5a of this video. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what my problem could be? Thanks so much in advance!!
On the PS5 and other HDMI devices you sometimes have to turn off HDCP. You do this in the HDMI settings on the PS5. Once done connect back up to your Quest. If that doesn't fix it maybe try different cables
You are a lifesaver, brother!!! That was exactly 100% the issue. I still had HDCP enabled within my PS5’s HDMI settings. It also would’ve helped if I actually took the time to read the little folded up instruction booklet that came with the UGreen HD Video Capture Card. Right there in the instructions, under the Tips section, it plainly says “For PS4 and PS5 users, please ensure to disable HDCP in the system options before using the video capture card.” Duh! Lol I literally found that tip right after I posted this comment on your video. But I’m still so glad that you actually responded, because maybe it will help out future subscribers to your channel that also fail to read the instructions first and just jump right in head first like I did haha! As soon as I disabled HDCP in my PS5’s HDMI settings, I went right back into my Quest 3’s HDMI Link app, and it was working perfectly with no lag in the video or audio whatsoever. It synced perfectly just as it did in your video above. So thank you again for making this video, my friend! This video walkthrough helped me out tremendously, and you are the reason that I specifically decided to purchase this specific video capture card. It works perfectly using my Quest 3 to stream from my ASUS laptop and my Nintendo Switch as well. Kudos to you for taking the time to make such a detailed and super informative video as you did with this one. You definitely deserve to be sponsored by UGreen!!! Cheers, brother! 🤜🤛
1080, in my opinion, is temporary. Hdmi link is experimental at the moment. With time they will add support for higher res. On my Mac, when using the Shdow Cast 2 I can set it up to 2k, but it looks very compressed. I'm confident this will change. Be patient!

Yes 👍🏻
