Speaking truth! Parents, prayer on and let the adults decide what they want to do. God will make a way...He keeps knocking on the door of their hearts- they will need to surrender to the Lord. No pressure...

I went no contact because my father is a narcissist, I set a Boundary that I would meet with my father with a rep from peacemaker Ministries, so the ball is in his court . Until he takes a step to make an appointment, I am no contact . He is a ministry leader and everyone he knows thinks he is the greatest man on earth , but that is because they don't "know him " he is an intamacy anorexic with his family , but with everyone else hes a kind caring mind who helps homeless people and serves in the church . Sometimes adult kids leave because their Christian parent needs serious help

My late mother was a pathological narcissist. She ruined my life. I wish I had gone no contact. I stayed due to a trauma bond. Some parents must be abandoned, because they are TOXIC.

Yes that is very true, however my situation is different. My son was loved and part of a close knit family. His dad and me have been blindsided and are so sad about the situation we are in.

You would NOT exist if it were not for your parents . Forgive your mother for her shortcomings. The fourth commandment is to Honor your parents . Find it in your heart to forgive their actions and not the person.

@@lilyjazel7764 I honoured both of my parents although my mother never deserved it. My mother and I both wish I was never born. She never apologized to me. Even God expects an apology from us first.

My mother is a Narcissist. It took decades for me to realize her toxic behaviors. She bad mouthed me, my husband and children to everyone behind our backs. Before I was born she had an affair with a married man, got pregnant and had my half-sister and I was to hide her "secret" all my life. She married my father because she thought she could have no more children and my father would adopt my half-sister to hide her shame. When I was born her dream of hiding her shame dissipated and it was my fault. She used the silent treatment, money, and rage to control me. I finally went no contact. I have a professional degree, a Master's degree and a relationship with Jesus. I went no contact. She will never see her issues. It will always be my fault.

I don't agree... Usually, when an adult child goes no contact with his or her parent(s), there's a REASON.
My father had an affair, left my mom, and gave up his parental rights toward me and my siblings.
I was and am so disappointed in my father, there are no words.

Our daughter didn’t say no contact. She just left the house and got involved with drugs. She doesn’t have a phone. I’m afraid she may be sex trafficked, but not sure. There’s nothing I can do. We can’t find her. Raised in a Christian home

The kids are tired of the parents calling and telling the kids that they need to get back into there faith, and finally the kids get tired of it , so they longer take they're calls.

Congratulations to the children who gained the strength to leave their abusive parents 💜 God sees you and loves you.
There is a false assumption that adult children who choose to cut ties with their parents are ungodly, when if fact, Christ says “Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead, take up your cross and follow me”. There are ungodly parents who choose to do ungodly things to their children. Sexual abuse, violence, verbal and psychological abuse, manipulation, addictions, narcissism, all of these things are very real evil things parents do to their children behind closed doors. It is so common, yet many Christians look the other way and refuse to see the abuse for what it is. Many “Christians” enable evil.
How many of these parents are actually interested in listening to their adult child’s reasoning for leaving? How many care about how their child has experienced their upbringing? How they’ve made their child feel? Not many.
Not all parents SHOULD be parents. Not all parents truly love their children.
