Thanks. After living with them for a while they look great from the outside but not the greatest for driving. I have since got their newest version of the bulb so I'll wait and see how they go.
@@superchargeddarkness915 not these ones no. They look basically the same from the outside but these had a single LED on each side. The newest ones have 3 LED's. I am yet to fit them.
I've read on foruns, that the light is more white, but for distance lost to halogen, can you tell something about that. I have Philips WhiteVision and is great, i like to try the new leds but i dont want to lose light power, i want to gain.
I have a new video ready to come out in a few weeks of the newer Autobeam LED H7s and they are far better than the standard halogens and the previous design H7's that Autobeam sold. I can't compare to the Phillips as I haven't used them but over standard globes, the H7 performance upgrade that Autobeam currently sell are amazing.
I appreciate the answer. Autobeam sell 2 H7, one box is red, other blue, what is the difference if you know, the blue is £10 cheaper. The blue as no cooler, judge from the pictures.
Hi mate, great install video! Just a quick one, on the passenger side, the rubber cap squashes right up against the fuse box and stops the fan from working which then causes the light to stop working completely. I just had to replace the bulb but this time didn’t use the rubber cap as I don’t want to risk the fan overheating again. Do you have a fix for this? Cheers
No I don't have a fix and my first set had the same issue, passenger side failed. Autobeam replaced with a new pair under warrenty and I haven't had an issue since. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for the cap sorry. Thanks for watching, glad you liked the video.
@@fordyford No worries, did you use a cap for the second light that you used? I was thinking about just cutting a hole in the rubber cap to let the fan through so there’s no overheating. I’ve currently not got the cap on but I know that can cause condensation and allow water to get in
No I let the cap split and then have taped it up. I haven't had an issue with my 2nd set yet which were a revised design over a year ago now. Its a bad trade off, do you risk condensation inside or risk the led blowing due to overheating again.
I've just fitted the auto beam HID kit to my Fiesta Mk7 and the ligh output is awful. They look great but I still can't see 10 feet in front of the car. Is this just hype? I upgraded the halogen bulbs before fitting the HID kit as they were useless. Projector headlights are shit
Most people say the HID's are good. Do they come in a standard or perdormance style? Projector headlights are a very unique design and ideally need bulbs specifically designed for them. The new set of LED's I have work really well and state they are designed for projectors, the original set weren't that great.
I haven't had any experience with their HID kit sorry. I suggest to take photos and message them on Facebook Messenger and ask them directly. They are usually pretty responsive. I do know some of their products as if they are for light with the LED DRL or not so unsure if that makes a difference with the HID's.
I had exactly the same experience having just purchased the same bulbs two months ago. I had to check the lights were actually on! I have seen the exact same bulbs for significantly less, so yes it's hype and nice packaging you're paying for. I binned mine and replaced with the Bevinsee V45, which are not only brighter but they have much better range. They are also significantly less than the Autobeam equivalents.
Hi just got the full upgrade kit for my fiesta st and was wondering if I should have got the Canbus adapters for the headlights or is the fiesta ok without?
I bought the performance upgrade kit to and nothing extra. So far so good. I had one of my original H7 fail (different design) and Autobeam were quick to honour warranty. Thanks for watching. My latest video shows how good their latest H7 bulbs are.
Hi, what's the beam pattern like on these, is there any bleed? Hard to tell on the vid but do you think these could be classed as "too bright", i.e have you been flashed much by other drivers with these LED bulbs installed? Considering the above are they suitable for daily use on the road? no issues?
Keep an eye on my channel, I have since swapped out this version for Autobeams latest version. I have never been flashed as I adjusted the headlights to suit. I did have some slight issues with these globes (older style) but after fitting the pair that Autobeam currently sell they are amazing. Very solid light spread, never been flashed and they are excellent from a drivers perspective.
@@fordyford Thanks kindly for the fast response 👌 I'm someone who drives a night a lot - so If these LED's tick all the boxes VS halogens then it only seems logical to grab some instead of paying £20 for uprated halogens which apparently have a much shorter lifespan! I'll stay tuned and looking forward to seeing more from your newer set 👍
Hello mate. Just ordered these. Did you add the caps or do they come standard? Reason I ask is I forgot to select them as an option when ordering, but they say they're supplied in the box. Also, have you got around to fitting the newer versions? I can't find the newer version on their site. Thanks and nice video!
Thanks mate. The caps came in the box but I bought the full upgrade kit so unsure if they come if you only buy the dipped beams. I haven't fitted the "new ones" yet but they started selling them around May 2019. As far as I was aware they were just a revamped version of these.
@@fordyford Thanks for the speedy reply! I have another weird question if you don't mind...do you know the diameter of the cap? Are they 78mm or 85mm? I'm not around my car at the moment so I can't check. Cheers!
I personally found the latest Autobeam bulbs (purchased Nov 2021) to be absolutely atrocious for the money, with very poor range and far too dim, to the extent that I often checked to see if they were actually on (auto lights). I was so disappointed I even cleaned the inside of the projector lenses as they acquire a milky layer over the years but to no avail. They remind me of the light output of LED headlight bulbs from a few years ago and that's not a compliment! Good vision is essential and it was spoiling my experience with the ST180, so I replaced them with the Bevinsee V45 after watching some UA-cam reviews and pardon the pun but it's a night and day difference. OMG, I can now see and not only that but they seem just as good as the factory LED headlights on our Peugeot.
Have you adjusted your headlights after installing them? I found the 1st set I installed to be poor but better after installing. I have a 2nd video of a 2nd pair of LEDs that are fantastic. Again, had to adjust the headlights after install but been great ever since. Did you buy the more expensive red box performance version LED's? Either way, glad you got it sorted 👍.
Open the bonnet and look down at the back of the headlight unit. You will see a little off white/dirty cream coloured plastic hex bolt head. That's the adjuster.
Thankyou so much for these great walkthroughs
No worries.
Thank you for watching the videos 👍
Brilliant mate just ordered a set from Autobeam.

Does the bulb sticking out not interfer with the fuse box? It's so tightly crammed, not much clearance
It doesn't. There isn't much clearance and on that side the caps you can buy don't fit properly. The caps do fit but need to be manipulated in place.
