Watched this video once Christmas chaos calmed down. With 2 kids, playing Santa, and hosting Christmas lunch… I needed a chill vibe to just relax. And was so happy for the relaxing long content. So many palettes I’d love to try.
I don’t know if I could pick a favorite but the color story of the nomad cosmetics Chicago palette capture my heart. And I’m generally a purple person, but those coppery warm brown tones just stole my heart.
I kinda want the Ellis palette for BYOP purposes. It would be a lot of work to depot and magnetize but I think it would shake up my Adept palettes. I also think the Lins palette is growing on me.
Same here! As someone who doesn’t already own the Blends palette or any other all-encompassing rainbow palette, to me it makes much more sense to go for the Ellis palette than the Blends. It offers more colors and undertones as well as shimmers, so I see no reason to choose the Blends over the Ellis. I don’t see myself traveling with a rainbow palette either way, so the size wouldn’t be a problem, but I also have no problem depotting/repanning eyeshadows anyways.
I get what you mean about that luxury quad. My Daddy bought me a Guerlain quad for my birthday this year, and it is different than my other makeup. It is a basic rosy quad, but it definitely performs differently.

Great video to enjoy Christmas morning! I was surprised by how low Harvest of Souls was- I just found the colours and format innovative and stunning on that one. Loved seeing the Chicago Speakeasy palette from Nomad so high (I'm getting that one for Christmas) and I have the Avatar Lethal earth palette which I really love. Great ranking!

I could not agree with you more about the Glaminatrix palette (the earlier one you mentioned) about the shimmers all shifting green, which isn’t what I want for the mattes. I’m going to do some moving things around to make it work better for me. I may put the greens from another one of their palettes with those shimmers and move those mattes to another one. I really wish it were different! Thank you for all you do for us. I hope your Christmas is truly Merry and Light!
I felt the same way about oranges and yellow-oranges as you do about blues and blue-greens for a long time. I started really trying to use them more, edging in from pinks to peaches/corals and yellow-greens and yellows into those oranges and yellow-oranges, and I’m definitely warming up to them! It’s my least favorite still, but I no longer dislike or avoid them. This year, I also really leaned into the peach fuzz color of the year, and that really went a long way in helping me. Now, I’d say I like and wear all colors, although olive greens through green/teal/blue/purple/berry into cool/true pinks and reds is still my side of the color wheel. ❤

I absolutely love Cosmic beauty and the Undergrowth palette is fantastic I love it, cooltrals and nudetrals are amazing and I just got Tis the season for Christmas so can't wait to to get that on my eyes. Unearthly Gargoyle and not normal remastered are absolutely gorgeous and spring magic. Wicked Widow beauty tales of terror palette omg the color story is beautiful 😍 it looks even better in person, I've loved the looks I've created with that palette and love struck is lovely, first time trying WWB and i can't wait to see what they do in 2025. Blend bunny longing palette is amazing, the shade when it rains 🤯 and new to me this year stickly sweet, omg this is a palette is didn't know I needed and I would rank it at no 1, when it released in 2023 I thought it's nice but I didn't want it, then the more I saw reviews and end of year rankings, and the Glisten Cosmetics started stocking Blend bunny ( I'm in the UK) and had 25% off so I thought I'm going to get it and omg I'm so glad I did, I use it with other palettes all the time, I use this palette at least once a week. Fantasy cosmetica harvest of souls is my second favourite they have ever done (druid still takes 1st place) indie love that it's a bigger palette. Lethal Avatar collection amazing, I got the earth palette and love it. I tried Dieverune cosmetics for the first time I got witch of the wild flower and it a great palette, the slit shimmer in the middle is gorgeous 😍

I bought a palette that had duplicated one shade, and was therefore missing another, and they responded literally within an hour to address it, no questions asked… They simply sent me the missing shade, at no cost, and it got to me within 2 days. The products are phenomenal, and they treat their actual customers well, and that’s what matters most to me… I personally also buy a lot from Rituel de Fille, even products that have a portion of sales going to causes I vehemently oppose, but again, great products & customer service is where my loyalty goes…

Rachel, I really think you like warmer blues, or that would be a good entryway for you. Many of the blue shimmers you loved, or palettes where you enjoyed the blues, were warmer blues. 💙

I am dying to try quite a few of these indie brand palettes but waiting for sales since some of them are quite pricey. I only got one palette this year and that was the Lethal x Avatar Water Palette! I'm so glad it's consistently part of everyone's Top 10 palettes because I love it so so so so so much!
Thats inspiring to keep it down to 1. I have been only buying natasha denona this year, and its always for free or greatly reduced at ulta with my points. Ive been eyeing blend bunny longing, einsly reign cold moon, and nomad ghost town, and definitely speakeasy. That said, with my collection recently reduced down to 70 palettes, I really do not need more. Im going to sit on it...maybe next year or at a super good sale. I cant just keep buying anymore.
Please pick up the new Not Normal!!! If you love the old one that much you have to try the new one. It’s everything great about the OG but with super amped up shimmers
I was surprised you didn’t include any Ensly Reign pallets…have you not tried them? Their latest one “Light in your Eyes” I really think you would love! I just received it over the holidays, so beautiful & very neutral with lots of shimmer…their shimmers are pretty unmatched! Other than that I agree with your ranking 💗
I don't think I could rank my palettes. So many good palettes. I picked up way too many the last couple of years. The Huda cream palettes and the Kiss palette definitely take last place for me. I've been watching rankings and I just love them. I've got my #1 down to like 15 palettes lol. Thanks for doing this, it had to be a lot of work. The swatches are great.
@ thank you. I have some of their super shock shadows, which I absolutely love. I bought two pallets from them recently, the nude mood and the Gone Matte. I purchased the Gone Matte because there have been times when I needed replace a shattered matte shadow and buying them individually can get expensive. However, I have been replacing more high-end Pat McGrath mattes that shattered and the color nuance and the powder kick up from CP mattes definitely is a drop in quality. But I don’t blame them. I figure I saved a lot of money and maybe I should just consider the Sydney Grace shadow singles.
There is something to be said for satin shimmers. Unfortunately many people still work in workplaces where the makeup has to be conservative and muted.

Those palettes, like odens' eyes, are all AI generated images. Most that are printed like that are, something ive heard from artists (makeup) that work with them.

Ive been eyeing blend bunny longing, einsly reign cold moon, and nomad ghost town, and definitely speakeasy. That said, with my collection recently reduced down to 70 palettes, I really do not need more. Im going to sit on it...maybe next year or at a super good sale. I cant just keep buying anymore.
The only thing purple about Roxa are 2-3 shades and the packaging.

I was surprised you didn’t include any Ensly Reign pallets…have you not tried them? Their latest one “Light in your Eyes” I really think you would love! I just received it over the holidays, so beautiful & very neutral with lots of shimmer…their shimmers are pretty unmatched!

I don't think I could rank my palettes. So many good palettes. I picked up way too many the last couple of years. The Huda cream palettes and the Kiss palette definitely take last place for me. I've been watching rankings and I just love them. I've got my #1 down to like 15 palettes lol. Thanks for doing this, it had to be a lot of work. The swatches are great.

Sometimes the palettes from CP that have a larger pan size can be inconsistent in quality in my opinion!
@ thank you. I have some of their super shock shadows, which I absolutely love. I bought two pallets from them recently, the nude mood and the Gone Matte. I purchased the Gone Matte because there have been times when I needed replace a shattered matte shadow and buying them individually can get expensive. However, I have been replacing more high-end Pat McGrath mattes that shattered and the color nuance and the powder kick up from CP mattes definitely is a drop in quality. But I don’t blame them. I figure I saved a lot of money and maybe I should just consider the Sydney Grace shadow singles.

Those palettes, like odens' eyes, are all AI generated images. Most that are printed like that are, something ive heard from artists (makeup) that work with them.
