This is what literally makes me love and trust you more than most influencers. You're not afraid to tell the truth about the high-end. Brands like make up by Mario. I absolutely do not believe that all of the influencers just love the same high-end brands. Thank you so 😂!
You can replace the mattes in the Adept palette that you don’t like with ones you like better from other palettes. I have switched out lots of shades to make the palettes work better for me. I really like when palettes are magnetic.
I love ranking videos! Great job. I really moved to indie the last couple of years too. I may be switching back to mainstream though. I have enough indie shimmers and colors to last a lifetime.
I love your honesty. I don’t know why I keep giving poor quality shadow brands so many chances. A color story comes out that I like and I forget that I don’t like the performance of the shadows no matter what the color story. In this day and age, shadows should disintegrate or fade or rub off . . . Especially when I’m wearing powder and glitter glue . . . . Trying for a 2025 no buy. We shall see. Great video. Happy New Year!
Go DeDe! I did not get the Cappacino palette but I am very inspired by it. I have those shades in my collection, so I can’t wait to create a look with that color story :) I’m really excited about the brand and her unique color stories.
Thanks for an outstanding consistent honest reviews! Not to mention all of the hard work & efforts you poured into this video. Well all your videos. Thanks & happy new years eve eve💕🙏🏻💯🥰😂
This was my 1st video of yours to watch. I appreciate you giving your honest reviews about the quality without bringing in any unnecessary drama about the brands. I look forward to these palette rankings every year, but I'm sad to say yours is the only one I've enjoyed this year. It was such a welcome surprise, and I can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Thanks so much for your review or Kaima Skullz and Roses - it helped me decide to get it. I just used it for NYE and it was perfect! Love the rainbowy sparkles dark shimmer 🥀 💀 🌈 💖
Thank you so much for providing such detailed feedback on what made you rank each palette at its position 😊 I also got the Ghost Town USA from Nomad in a recent sale, and I'm disappointed, too. The swatches and the first try I did were decent but I was expecting more with all the hype that palette got. I'm sure that they improved their formulas in their latest release but I don't even want to try another palette from the brand 🤷♀️
@KariMeghan Honestly, I don't think we're the only ones who are disappointed by some popular products from independent brands. I may be going too far, but from what I observe from afar in the indie beauty sphere, people are very attached to certain brands whose creators sing their praises all the time. This leads those who don't like a product from a beloved brand to censor themselves to avoid the wrath of those who defend brands against all odds and who obviously haven't had the same experience with the product in question. I also think some creators won't say they're really thinking about a release from a brand they have a professional and/or financial relationship with. I don't believe in ranking based on "vibes" just because I don't see how it's helpful to those of us who pay for the products (which is also why I really appreciate the effort you put into sharing your real experiences with the palettes. So far, I haven't seen anyone with a similar ranking, and that says a lot 😊
Kari, The Spring Magic palette is magnetic you have to use a strong magnet, I just rearranged all my Unearthly eyeshadow palettes yesterday. My packaging on my new Just a Taste is crap too! I have to be honest, not all the Unearthly shimmers are great. The Mothman shade from the Urban Myth is one of my favorite eyeshadows, but I have removed and replaced almost all the original eyeshadows in the palette, I put other indie eyeshadows in it, but love the packaging and use it all the time now.
@KariMeghan I am not OP but yes they are. Sometimes they are really tight in the packaging tho. I had to break my don't be Jelly packaging a little to get the pans out.
Your video popped up in my feed, and it's my first time watching ! I really enjoyed your ranking and thoughts on each palette. Also found out some new brands too. I've subscribed and look forward to more of your content. Btw - love your eye makeup look it's stunning ! Be well, take care
Great video! Can you explain what hard panning means? I keep hearing it in eyeshadow videos, but I’m still not quite sure what it means or what to look for. Thank you!
Unearthly palettes are indeed magnetic. I’m not someone who switches shades around so sometimes I wish brands wouldn’t do all magnetic so they could lower the price a bit. I understand that is an unpopular opinion though.
Saints Angels Sinners is no longer a popular brand after the scandal they were involved in a few years ago. So, I guess that explains why their palettes are not reviewed by the usual influencers that receive PR from the indie brands.
@@KariMeghananother one is ensley reign… they lied to their audience about using AI art and they used their brand account to like anti-trans posts on Instagram.

All the swatches were so helpful! Thanks for taking the time.
You have become one of my favourite UA-camrs this year.
Thanks!!! Made me smile.
Love your channel. Just wanted to let u know, all unearthly palettes are magnetic, if u like to rearrange like I do! Happy Holiday!
I did not know that!
Wow girl. You might just be the queen of indie. Subscribed!

Thanks for sharing!! I never know if I'm the only one, and it's nerve-wracking knowing I could be eating my dinner as a party of 1. 😆

I've heard people dislike that ufo palette even when it was newly released. And I've heard people dislike the golden. I can really see that.
I love when it's not just me but it'd be ok if it were 😂
Yayyy thank you for showing more indie brands. I wish more creators did that 🥰 hope you have a great 2025!!
You too!! Thank you.

Thank you. I didn't realize their pans were magnetic. It makes up for the price point and bit.

Love your honestly, thank you 🙂
I am decluttering my Muse as I find the color story hard to work with. And I find the same thing with my cooltrals and nudetrals.
Oh no! I'm trepidacious now.
@KariMeghan i wanted to add that Kryptein is on I Feel Beautiful Canada if you are in Canada. Sorry I'm not sure where you are located!
US but that's awesome info. So many indie brands so much shipping cost!
Lived this

Great video! Can you explain what hard panning means? I keep hearing it in eyeshadow videos, but I’m still not quite sure what it means or what to look for. Thank you!
The eyeshadow gets a hard crust on the top and you can’t pic up eyeshadow from it anymore or only a little bit 🙊
Thank you!
You are Soooo cool, love you 😍

Hi, pressed glitter isn’t expensive for brands to produce. They use them to hold the cost of the palette down 🙊
I wish they wouldn't cuz $69 doesn't feel like holding the cost down.
@ I agree with you 😣
❤❤❤

Oh, I didn't hear about this scandal. Will have to do some research.
