See for me at that price point its gon have to perform. I hate when niche brands slap on a large price tag and lack performance and as much as I may love a scent I can't see spending 200 for a skin scent.😫 I think I'll pass on bdk until they get performance together.. Great video

Hey beautiful!! I think it’s so fascinating or fragrances play differently on different body chemistry because I DEFINITELY get a ton of woody nuisances throughout the base and you didn’t get any. That’s so amazing to me! Loved the video and the detailed comparison. 💛

Thank you for this extensive review! BDK longevity is a mix for me, pas ce soir lasts on me very well but rouge smoking vanished very quickly! I looooooove rouge smoking though so it broke my heart. I own pas ce soir! Love all the way.

The comparisons definitely helped. Lipstick On is also one of my favorites, hate it's discontinued.

This one is on my wishlist. I’ve watched 4 reviews so far. 3 out of 4 have been very positive on the sillage

Oh man I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Rouge Smoking! I can’t make up my mind if I want to buy it.
As far as the scent goes, I think I'm really going to like it! My sample should be here soon so I'm excited to get my nose on it. You're not the only person I've heard say that longevity for BDK fragrances is lacking, so that's a little worrisome for fragrances that retail for as much as these do. If I end up liking the scent enough, I have a feeling I'll probably wait for it to get to the grey market to help justify getting it lol. But your review was wonderful!

Nah sis you ain't the only one 🤦🏾♀️ I have gris charnel and that sucka while it is a lovely fragrance doesn't project nor does it last on my skin 😭 bdk is starting to give I wasted my money teas 😩

Great review! The performance issue doesn't surprise me. A lot of BDK's frags suffer from this. Since they're a fairly new company I wonder if their frags will perform better in time after they age for a while.
At this point there needs to be an extrait for each fragrance! Tabac rose is amazing though. Amazing video 👌🏾
Feve and Tonka Imperiale are the tonka reference scents for sure

If you have to choose btween roug smoking or velvet tonka?
I only have Tubereuse Imperiale and it lasts quite a while on my skin and of course longer on my clothes. The others I've tried turns into a skin scent as you said within an hour or 2
I’ve heard great things about that one, but I’m not the biggest tuberose lover. I really want to try Pas ce Soir!
Hey Ayesha! Has the performance improved for this one yet? I would like to add it to my collection because I love the way it smells. Did you consider layering this with Juliet has a gun sunny side up since it’s a fragrance enhancer? I plan to lay down a fragrance enhancer first then spray velvet tonka on top to help it not only project but last longer. I also use Juliet has a gun not a perfume super dose or Molecule 01 as a fragrance enhancer and I have no issues with projection or longevity.
Hey Jessica! The performance has gotten a lot better on this one! I layer it over the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Butter! I probably get around 6 hours of wear before it starts turning into a skin scent!

I really don’t like feve delic. :( that’s the only thing turning me off from blind buying this frag . I wonder if I got a bad sample ? It smells very strong & sharp like beer or sumn to me 🤷🏽♀️- but the lost cherry comparison really peaks my interest 🧐
Lol at your Feve description! Most people that I know that hate Feve think it smells too powdery. Maybe try another sample…

😆 They don’t smell alike to me, but the cherry may be a little similar in both.

Hi Ayesha, I specifically searched for this video, because I am on the verge of selling my Velvet Tonka. The reason: I ordered Boucheron's Feve Tonka, but also had a sample. It was so unpleasant: I got nauseous and a headache, and I couldn't return it fast enough. It was so horrible. Then I was wondering if I would have a similar experience with Velvet Tonka. which was just sitting in my collection. So I tested it, and I got a headache. The same day I put it on something that is like Mercary, and got a buyer for it. I'm supposed to send it tomorrow, but I decided to check it again today, three days later from the headache. Only this time it is really nice. No headaches or anything. I just don't know what to do. Do you still have it in your collection and do you use it?
I still have Velvet Tonka and I love the smell. It doesn’t give me a headache or make me nauseous. I know that when some people overspray this one, they can get a little nauseous (I think due to the powdery nature). Maybe try spraying a little on to wear and see how it goes. I would suggest spraying your hand and keep smelling over & over.
@@SimplyAyesha Thank you for your reply. I decided not to sell. It smelled really nice yesterday, haven't tested today. If I change my mind I can still sell it. But I got it really cheap, and to rebuy should I regret would cost me much, much more.

Let down
let down :( It is so so..... sweet, little thing with unripe, almond bitterness which is unique but pleasant. Not va va voom! BDK needs something way more nighty sexy next time. Too many mild gourmands :)
