UA-cam reviews have been very helpful for me.

Great tips. I am a blind-buyer, but I research the heck out of a fragrance before I buy it (except for "Gris Charnel Extrait", which I just blind-bough today). I would add that if you are researching on YT, don't ignore what the smaller UA-camrs have to say. They are, generally, more honest than the bigger fragrance reviewers, who tend to be swayed by the fact that they are being paid or are receiving the fragrance for free. Secondly, Instagram is a great source of information: hashtag the fragrance, read the comments that people leave under the post.

I blind buy all the time 😂 I’m constantly on fragrantica or watching reviews but at the end of the day the scent will wear completely different on me. It also helps to shop at places with a good return policy. If I hate it, I take it back. If not, I sell it. Buying when it's on sale or through a discounter/mercari/ebay is another tip! Save coins while you blind buy

Hmmmmm💭, I’ve never thought about watching people who have an opposite taste to mine as a good way to go. Thanks for opening my eyes to this tip👌🏾

Such great advice! I want to get more into niche.. but I can’t smell them. I’ve got a few, but definitely want to expand. The notes for niche, at least for me, can be deceiving because that blend.. 😆

Thanks! Yes, they can be tricky, especially brands like Roja (ton of notes, but so well blended).

@@SimplyAyesha ITA...have not found a Roja yet(samples) that I would full bottle purchase. Toooo many notes....nothing stands out....price very high for what you get in scent....IMHO. Xerjoff blends beautifully....not a disappoint there yet. :)

Yes if I blind buy and it doesn't work out, I make sure I can sell it (especially if it's a sought out/popular frag) ☺️

I found this video very helpful. I have spent SO MUCH money on samples and I do'nt usually even buy the scent! Some of these UA-camrs, Not you, but some will pedal whatever fragrance house they have a code for. There's one UA-camrs who does it and its so bad I've thought of unsubscribing, because every other word is " Please buy this fragrance from ...... you get my discount code and save 20%" It comes off SO FAKE, but she spends half the video talking about it. You ca'nt really trust that they are telling you the truth about the fragrance because 1, they were sent the fragrance and 2, They get paid if you use their link, It's getting really bad on UA-cam with that. I like your channel because you do'nt seem to be working with these companies to where every video is sponsored. Anyways, Love love love your channel!!!!

I think Creators should get commission for recommending products, but it’s a fine line before it sounds like “selling”. I’m thankful that you are able to trust my recommendations. 😊

ive found that fragrantica reviews are pretty accurate if u read a good amt of them to get a big pool of opinions. if everyone is saying the same thing it’s probably true. youtube fragrance reviews aren’t accurate for me but i find them entertaining so i still watch them for hours lol love ur reviews & ur taste in scents

    • @SimplyAyesha
      @SimplyAyesha  2 роки тому

I totally get that about the Fragrantica reviews. I definitely trust the opinion more if a lot of people are describing it the same way. Thank you! 😊

Just blind bought the new BDK Gris Charnel yesterday. Have blind bought several fragrances and had great success so far. Fragrantica is helpful but not my ultimate source...do your homework and watch reviews too. Find the core notes you like and find reviewers you can trust with both positive and negative points of view. When the price is right, I will bring it home.Take your time...do not rush a purchase.

I definitely feel what youre saying on watching reviews from ones whose taste is different from yours also. I actually watch more youtube reviews AFTER I purchase a fragrance to see how certain reviewers describe the scent I purchased, especially if they dont like it. Helps tremendously when blind buying down the road.
    Great vidoeo

very pretty lipstick on you 😍....... when I first found niche fragrances and started listening to reviewers I'm soooo happy I did Not blind buy a couple of the most hyped , most popular and most loved perfumes bc I would have been sad to spend that 💲💲💲 and not love them , I'm more confident now in what I can blind buy , for example , blind bought Cassiopea and love it , but I had sampled a ton from the house , which helps when you're familiar with the house, HOS , blind bought Mickey but I felt like it was safe 💕

Here are extremely helpful tips indeed, much appreciated🙏🙏. I did a lot of blind buying in 2020 and stopped around April 2021. I have a set of content creators that I watch and I also use Fragrantica to a certain extent. Our selection of fragrances over here is not as vast as what you guys have ever there. If I cannot sample a fragrance anywhere here then I blind buy it if the notes are really attractive to me. I’ve been buying a lot of samples as well so this really helps to curtail those expensive mistakes. I also do sample swaps with a friend who is also into fragrances and this really helps a lot. Great video as always👌👌. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰

I use the opposite taste technique too when watching reviews and buying. It’s all helpful and has been confirmed when I still decided to sample those loved by people with opposite tastes, which is better than blind buying in this case lol, and they were not for me.

Perfumes are cheaper online, so I often tend to blind-buy them. Recently bought Givenchy’s “Noctambule” and it was disgusting. I thought it would be a pleasant rose Oud scent, but it turned out to be an animalic leather scent that leaned more masculine than feminine. No more luxury perfumes for me, lol!

fragrantica reviews are important to me too cause even if i love a frag, if a frag smells like lysol to everyone else then its a no for me lol i want people to think wow she smells good

  • @yahainHotPink

I am so behind, lol. Had no idea Fragrantica had a review section, lol. I literally go there only to read the notes and details about when the fragrance was released and of the summary. That's all I want to know.

Many of the fragrances Ive been currently pursuing aren’t in stores so I often buy decants…but sometimes I just blind it based on a similar thought that you shared - how difficult might it be to resell. Good tips!

for me one experience accords and notes soo miss leading u search for Vanilla but maybe this perfume contains green Vanilla , earthy like a true vanilla plant ,, theres soo much more than just notes . for me if i wanna blind buy i go to see either perfume i like then look what people comparing it to put not the most compared one or a UA-camr that she hate what i hate a that very important cause perfume that sweet and good are likable from the majority
but if she hate patchouli like me or ylang or oakmoss then i will blind buy it even without looking at the notes and + when u do that u will experience new notes that u didn't think u would like😂
    sorry that was long
