One question, I don't have an oven, I have heard you can bake in a heavy bottomed cookpot or a pressure cooker with a layer of sand or salt - how much time to bake in the cooker/pot and does it require preheating?
It does require preheating which you can do in the pressure cooker as well, just heat it up without the whistle. As far as the cooking time is concerned idrk but I would suggest to check after 30 min and keep for a longer time if it's not cooked, even in the oven the cooking times are different. 😊

Hi Anushruti, I made this and the taste was good but the finished bread didn't look like the same. I use an OTG and don't have an external thermometer to check the exact temp. I baked it for about 50 mins - the top of the bread over browned. - the center was slightly mushy . so when I cut with the bread knife it did not give me a clean cut. Should I cover it with an aluminum foil half way through and reduce the temp to maybe 160 half way through? I hope to receive a reply..that would be really great. Thanks.

I usually mash it up with a fork too and use only brown sugar. I think if you just mash it up you end up with some chunks in the bread (which I kind of like) 😊

Brown sugar gives a nice texture and caremely flavour but u can use just white sugar

Does the banana puree make a difference? I usually just mash them up with a fork. Grinding both the sugars is also something new to me.
