I don't understand how guys like Andy go under the radar when his playing is easily on-par with the best players in the world. His speed, precision, feel, and tone are so incredible. That Suhr guitar and Suhr amps play a big part of that!
Amazing how numb and presumptuous we have become to this level of playing....imagine Andy onstage at Woodstock playing like this in the late 60's....He would be immortalized in grainy footage and bootlegs in perpetuity. Instead, only UA-cam surfers are graced with his skill and are cognizant of his existence. Kinda sad. I'm grateful I found this.
Andy's picking style is phenomenal. I put him up there in the top 5 guitarists. He's like Eric Johnson was for years- unknown to the masses. Give him time. Add uncle Ben to the mix and you got a dynamic duo.
I just recently discovered Andy and it was the most inspirational experience I've ever had guitar wise! I clicked on s "Freidman amp" video amps i know nothing about with some guy named Andy Wood? and...,it was life changing. He's beyond amazing and I feel like I found a wallet full of money. I hear Eric Johnson, Andy Timmins, and Steve Morse in his style. I'll actually even go as far as to say for myself anyway he's kind of like every great guitar player on the planet rolled in one and its exciting and inspirational beyond words to hear him play. That steel guitar solo was also beyond impressive!
Uncle Ben is truly like Alfred and Robin wrapped in one... he loves Batman as you can see it on his face every time they play together!! One day Batman will retire and Robin will take his place.
Hello good afternoon Pere thorn.hey I watching You live performanc in 2016 Intrumentalia is rea lly good perfomanc. U was great solo.hey pete Succes with frind crew from the band.hey this WITH ME JOHN.P FROM NETHERLAND.
Tragic that Andy Wood is not better known. Monstrous chops, feel and Tone

@@mesabman amen to that
Andy rips it up...wow! And what a steel guitar solo! The entire band is red hot!
When Ben Eller is your BACKING guitarist you know you’re something special…
This guy has it all. Period.
What a superb playing
Uncle Ben in the back doing his thing!!!
i was so surprised when i saw him! :D
haha i'm lucky these guys let me hang out with them!
1 year later?! you had too much fun after the show, didn't ya?
Andrei Grozea correct, hahaha
Ben's stepmother knows two or three or all of the band members, and secured him the gig

It was a different world then.
Everything was way different then...
Deadly underrated, it's really sad.
That steel guitar solo tho - that was awesome.
It was good but next time he should play in the rythem.. if possible in this tempo.. ;-)
Every note he played was in rhythm-learn syncopation.@@roland11
Why can’t I give more than one like to this?

If guitar playing were an olympic sport Mr Wood would surely be going for gold

Both Andy and Ben Eller are fabulous players.
That is the Ben Eller? The camp guy? Wow
Amsal Sihombing camp??? But yeah, that’s me!
@@nevious1982 Dude you don’t know Uncle Ben? Where in the world are you?
Total beast
Good Lord where's this Guy been all my life!
Bricklinsv1970 Exactly what I was thinking. He has definitely gone under the radar but he is honestly one of the best I've heard
He has dethroned my king Alex Skolnick!
There's a great interview with Andy on one of the No Guitar Is Safe podcasts. He plays some on it too.
I watched lots of Ben Eller movies, never knew he was on this band but recognized him immediately!
well thank you, sir!!!
so sick
Excellent playing. Not to mention the tone coming out of the Bella.
This is rock fusion
Easily one of the best players in the world!
Monster! Hard to believe all that sound comes from a Tele in the middle PU position.
that's no Tele though, that's a Suhr!!
Great...
Very good musicians
Profound. He has a nice hat, too.
Phenomenal

Alpha Guitarist

Does Andy Remember what pedals was he using for that big lead sounds ???
geeeeeeeez
I hear some steve morse in there...
you mean Guthrie Govan! Guthrie Govan - Fives at jamtrackcentral.
@@duleyone theres some classic morse's alternate picked arpeggios. but sure every modern guitarist influenced is guthrie govan
Very cool :) Go andy and uncle ben!!
I know that Andy's playing through a Bella amp. Anyone know which pedal?
This is fucking insane.
Great phrasing, tone, technique.
Andy is the whole package.
He is the most gifted player I have heard since Jason Becker.
Ben Eller as side man is great too!
Andy doesn't just do gymnastics on the neck. He makes music.
insane
Anyone know who the slide player is?
Pretty sure this guy didn't start seriously playing the guitar until he was 18 years old. A true virtuoso.
But before that he was an award winning mandolin player so he had plenty of picking time before(:
this dude's the real deal
!!!You what!!! Haw the hell do people get thst good??
O.o sounds like steve morse!
No, it REALLY doesn't.
you are a really good guitarist
You spotted that, huh? No fooling you...
Brad Petrucci
This should have let Uncle Ben take a solo
Shred with a tele, none than Andy Wood.
monstrous
incredible.
