Thomas Jenkins Lurbuk doesn’t follow the traditional Orc way of life though. Just the fact that he has left his stronghold, assuming he was ever in one, is telling enough, but especially given his pursuits in being a bard, it’s pretty obvious he doesn’t follow Malacath.

For the quest involving Reyda, if I recall, there is actually a bugged arrow that floats away when you get near her bones. Sometimes it's in the skeleton, sometimes it floats down river if it bugs upward. Next time someone plays through near that bridge, see if you can find the arrow that's in the water floating away. Foul play is certainly involved with that included detail.

I actually apologized to them after they were dead. With my family members, I begged their forgiveness after each kill.
I'm surprised you didn't mention that they say at the Dark Brotherhood that so many people performed the Black Sacrament to kill Larbuk they had to hold a lottery to see who got the contract.
The thing about narfi's sister is that there are iron arrows that float on top of the water above her skeletal remains, suggesting that she died due to foul play.
This is super late but the reason Lurbuk and his father have a negative disposition towards each other is likely because the sons of orc leaders are expected to eventually kill their fathers (the chiefs) in combat, that’s how they take over the tribe. I believe it’s for this reason that the sons of the leaders are rarely found inside of the camps, they’re a potential threat to the title.
Yeah, one line from the lurbuk quest gives you an idea of the cause. Nazir states that there were so many people wanting him dead that she had to hold a lottery to determine the actual contractor. The radiant interaction may be from Burbuk being selected by RNG for the lottery.
What no one notices is that Rayda went missing around the same time Wyndelius or whatever his name is showed up in Ivorstead. Wilhelm even uses similar phrasing when referring to the two incidents in separate dialogue.
I always thought that it was the bartender Wilhelm that has Narfi killed, he is the only person in town or in the game for that matter who mentions Narfi. I thought that because Wilhelm knew Narfi's sister wasn't coming back, he had Narfi killed to put him out of his misery.
I don't remember how i get to it but through some logical thinking and educated guesses I came to the conclusion that Narfi's sister, Reyna, was killed unintentionally. If we look at the geography of the surrounding area, there is a cave where a bandit or thief can be found and Wilhelm seems to know the place. He also seems like a bit of a creep. Yada yada yada. Conclusion: Reyna went out to the woods one morning to collect some things, flowers or ingridients who knows, but she didnt return until late that night. Narfi became worried fearing the worst. Do he goes to the edge of town. While Reyna was coming back to men stopped her. Wilhelm and a "friend" of his. He made a deal with the "friend" that he could have any of Reyna's posessions but he wanted Reyna for some very naughty purposes. She fights back though. A fight between her and the two men break out and she winds up dead, whether by a blade or trauma or she is drowned or she is strangled. No the thing is, the bones are intact and have no obvious marks of a blade cutting into them. Obviously Bethesda wasn't going to go that far into detail but lets pretend this is real life. So no traces of a blad cutting the bone. The skull is also intact meaning no blunt force trauma to the head. This leaves two possibilities, drowning or strangling. Both would take quite a while to kill her. Assuming she was drowned, they would have to have taken her off the road and into the water where they tried to rape her, she fights, the two hold her down, she drowns, they let her go, she floats down stream a little. Or second scenario, they stop her on the bridge, she fights back, they knock her out by choking her, she falls into the water and drowns. Now in both of these scenarios she ends up in the water, where her body is found, and in both, the attackers let hee go. Why? Well this is where Narfi comes in. He sees the attack (leading me to believe they were on the bridge). He attempts to rescue Reyna by attacking the two men who he can't quite make out in the darkness. The men let her go, she ends up in the water. Narfi fights and kills one of the men (the thief) and the other (Wilhelm) runs off into the woods as the thief and Narfi fight. Narfi kills the thief and takes his heart (in Narfi's inventory a human heart can be found and he will give it as a reward at the end of his quest). Now Narfi has just witnessed the death of his sister, has just brutally killed a man, and his parents and family home have recently burned down. He goes crazy now. He hides the mans body in the nearby cave which is later taken over by a bear. He returns home and reverts back to his last memory of his sister which replays in his head, being her leaving to go collect stuff in the woods. He gets severe PTSD and forces himself to believe she'll come back. Well Wilhelm ran off into the woods but he becomes paranoid thinking Narfi knows it was him. He doesnt seem too fond of Narfi in dialogue. So he preforms a black sacrement and puts a contract on Narfi. This finally puts Wilhelm to rest as the only witness is dead. And of the 4 people involved in all this he is the only one left and corpses arent the greatest story tellers, except for when they are.
In my first ever play through, the dark brotherhood questline was one of the very 1st one I completed. And I did a bunch of the "dark brotherhood forever" quests. And since then in my play throughs I try to save dark brotherhood for last, because I like to see more NPCs when I play
An interesting note about Reda's death, I saw this on a video so it may not be true, but apparently when you get to the town the first time if you go to the bridge and look around, gou can find arrows floating down the river
Rayda was implied to have tripped and fell into the river, the fall killing her. Her corpse was then carried downstream under the bridge, as it's partially buried by silt and the tavernkeeper points you to an island upstream.
I now feel bad that I just straight up killed them. no dialogue, no "sporting chance", just a quick quiet death and on to the next contract. Big fan, btw. I restarted a game a while back when the remasters came out. I'm constantly amazed the ridiculous amount of detail in this world. Your videos add much too the game. I appreciate them. Skyrim set the standard for open worlds for me. I love real day night cycles, jobs of the locals, etc. I love Dragon Age, but everyone is so static and no cycles - doesnt seem as "alive". Conversly the Witcher, which admittedly I haven't played much, has a beatutiful world but the game is Geralt's story whereas the Dragonborn is *mine*. But dont get me wrong it's a first class game on its own, these are just my preferences
Gonna be honest, the main reason I 'like' your stuff is to keep track of what I have seeen! :P I DO like the content as well though keep up the hard work bro! Can't wait for the future of the franchise to get even larger and more in depth! :D Imagine we could see a day where they remaster like ALL of the games into some massive world sized space! We can all dream XD

I love the Dark Brotherhood, and it's quests, but Morag Tong > Dark Brotherhood Why? 1. Stupid Hood 2. Concept Art is boring 3. Emporer literally lets them win 4. Caught by the Emporer's guard 5. 200 years of Self Destruction 6. Overly complicated ranking system, and no communication 7. Members have *Zero Honor* 8. Hideouts are in plain sight 9. Finger painter 10. Seriously what are those boots 11. Wears enchanted armor to compensate for their lack of skill 12. Constricting pants impair proper martial movement 13. Has no respect for the art of murder 14. Say "We know", they don't 15. Kicked out of Vvardenfell by the Morag Tong Now let's compare this to the Morag Tong 1. Badass deathblades in their concept art 2. Considers murder a "Sacret Art" that should be respected 3. Tells guards to vehk off after murdering an entire family just by presenting his _legal_ writ of execution 4. Superior Netch armor allows for fluid movement, no need for enchantments their skill is enough 5. Proudly represents their culture with a glorious, and humble loincloth 6. Can actually keep a secret, bound by honor 7. Assassinated Reman III 8. Assasinated Snake Emporer, and his entire family 9. Got banned for killing to many emporers, doesn't care operates honorably in homeland 10. Snuck past the flippin *_DragonGuard_* 11. Multi-Vision Webspinner Series Morag Tong Helmet represents affiliation with Mephala, looks like a vehking spider. 12. Worships Spider God 13. Members are confident the order will rise again, even after a volcano destroyed most of their nation. 14. Can still sneak up on you while wearing boots made of bug shells 15. Have more skill in their pinky finger than every Dark Brotherhood member combined.
There is a theory that Narfis sister got assassinated since an Iron arrow is floating in the water above the skeleton. People suspect that it was willhelm since he sounds suspicious. There might be some clues inside his tavern too. Willhelm then might have done the black sacrament again to end Narfi out of his misery
Funny thing if the bandits did the Black sacrament, they’ll still attack you when you go there. Well if anyone who hired the assassin ends up killed by the assassin, not much of a benefit to them init First time I played Skyrim, I never knew about Nafi’s sister. That can happen if you accept the contract before meeting him
Hey Nate I have a skyrim fact for your next video The dunmer student in the collage of winterhold (name escapes me) mentions that she is a telvani wizard but according to the game script mentions that she isn't from morrowwind she's from solstien and there is only one telvani wizard lives in solstien
I feel a little about Agnis cause I used this fort to test out my new werewolf skills around three hours into the game and she just kinda got in the way so when I was told to kill her I just kinda had to sheepishly explain that she was already dead. And I just feel down right rotten about Narfi...and the Bard.
Good thing you didn't do a top 10 list. There wouldn't be enough brotherhood contracts in the entire game to fill it. But seriously, Bethesda definitely had enough resources to put a small team to hand craft 30+ missions for each faction. Wouldn't need to do all of them to progress to leader but the selection on hand is pitiful. I'm hoping for non of the radiant shit like thieve's guild [interact with the ledger in this shop] or companion's [kill this specific giant] in the next game please. Give me events ffs. And if they absolutely need to include these procedurally generated quests, don't just make me go back to a cave I just cleared to kill some random bandits that spawned in and pretend it's a quest, give those bandits a theme and some items unique to their theme so I actually have incentive to do the chore.
I have a 10 tiny deatails I just saw on xbox360 During the civil war when you invade at fort dunstad you will hear a war horn and if you're fast enough you can see a stormcloak or imperial soldier blowing the war horn and it honestly looks awesome
About Narfi and Reyda, there is a theory that Reyda intentionally disappeared. She found some dead body and put her cloths/necklace and alchemy pouch and disappeared. She got tired of taking care of Narfi and wanted to go on adventures of her own. She felt sorry for him and performed the black sacrament
I'm not sure you'll see this, but for Narfi's quest to find Reyda, you can actually find two arrows floating avove the water, however when they load they will drift away. This points towards murder or at least a hunting accident, since it couldn't be draugr since they use ancient arrows that weren't found.
I agree, the only contracts I didn't know about was 2, and those were Lurbuk and Safia. The most interesting of the two (at least to me) was Safia's because I didn't know she was hunted down by the dark brotherhood multiple times and survived. But you never know...Nate may find some other stuff we may not have noticed in Skyrim.
I agree... that the title is a bit of a misnomer as it implies that the player missed the quests when they would have actually missed the pre-quest dialogue
Well, we (as in Nate's audience) probably all have seeing as we're still invested in Skyrim in one way or another. However, a lot of people have never even beaten Skyrim.
When the player and Katriah's ghost go to see Katriah's body, she'll tell the player to take her bow. If the player press "Take all" when they examine her body, they'll get a unique dialogue interaction.
"You'll be back to raiding pig farms tomorrow..." seems disturbingly reminiscent of Sapphire's backstory.
Y'know I don't think I've ever seen a pig in Skyrim before.

Did Narfi know about parthurnaax??
@@bryanpersinger7604 Paarthurnax has been known to stretch his wings at night to pray at the Rorikstead Shrine of Amatosh.
The thing about narfi's sister is that there are iron arrows that float on top of the water above her skeletal remains, suggesting that she died due to foul play.
Never knew that the maid was a contract. The fort is one of the first forts I clear early game. Including the maid.
Always enjoy watching your videos, this was a pleasant surprise
Wow Nate your videos manage to inform me despite my like 8 times playing. Thanks for the info as always!
I always thought they were random npc’s spawned in, I walk up remain silent then slice their throats and leave. Thanks for the vid
Nate, what is the mod you are using which makes the faces of the characters so smooth?
P.S. Thanks for another excellent 'Top' video!
Top 5 reasons you should show us your load order
6:40 There are, if you look fast enough, two Ancient Nord Arrows swimming down the river right above her skeleton
Was that a.....rubber dagger....at Agnis' chair when you killed her?
Dildo
So that's why she won't leave.
The funniest thing about Lorbuk; so many people wanted him dead that it was damn near a raffle or something as to who actually placed the hit.
The best contract is the one out on your character
I was in the dark brotherhood when I got randomly attacked
In my first ever play through, the dark brotherhood questline was one of the very 1st one I completed. And I did a bunch of the "dark brotherhood forever" quests. And since then in my play throughs I try to save dark brotherhood for last, because I like to see more NPCs when I play

I would never kill Agnis! She's awesome, man.
An interesting note about Reda's death, I saw this on a video so it may not be true, but apparently when you get to the town the first time if you go to the bridge and look around, gou can find arrows floating down the river
We need a mafia faction so I can roleplay as Giorno Giovanna with Conjuration, Speech and Restoration.

I love the fact the Dark Brotherhood has uniforms so everyone can see they are assassins. Not that guards care though. Or anyone else.
Some german adjectives for you:
gigantisch, riesig, monumental, übergroß, enorm, gewaltig, kolossal, massiv, überdimensional, monströs.
btw: "murdered to death" translates to "zu Tode ermordet".
You're welcome.

Gonna be honest, the main reason I 'like' your stuff is to keep track of what I have seeen! :P I DO like the content as well though keep up the hard work bro! I love the Dark Brotherhood, and it's quests, but Morag Tong > Dark Brotherhood
Why?
1. Stupid Hood
2. Concept Art is boring
3. Emporer literally lets them win
4. Caught by the Emporer's guard
5. 200 years of Self Destruction
6. Overly complicated ranking system, and no communication
7. Members have *Zero Honor*
8. Hideouts are in plain sight
9. Finger painter
10. Seriously what are those boots
11. Wears enchanted armor to compensate for their lack of skill
12. Constricting pants impair proper martial movement
13. Has no respect for the art of murder
14. Say "We know", they don't
15. Kicked out of Vvardenfell by the Morag Tong
Now let's compare this to the Morag Tong
1. Badass deathblades in their concept art
2. Considers murder a "Sacret Art" that should be respected
3. Tells guards to vehk off after murdering an entire family just by presenting his _legal_ writ of execution
4. Superior Netch armor allows for fluid movement, no need for enchantments their skill is enough
5. Proudly represents their culture with a glorious, and humble loincloth
6. Can actually keep a secret, bound by honor
7. Assassinated Reman III
8. Assasinated Snake Emporer, and his entire family
9. Got banned for killing to many emporers, doesn't care operates honorably in homeland
10. Snuck past the flippin *_DragonGuard_*
11. Multi-Vision Webspinner Series Morag Tong Helmet represents affiliation with Mephala, looks like a vehking spider.
12. Worships Spider God
13. Members are confident the order will rise again, even after a volcano destroyed most of their nation.
14. Can still sneak up on you while wearing boots made of bug shells
15. Have more skill in their pinky finger than every Dark Brotherhood member combined.

Notification Brotherhood 🗡️
There is a theory that Narfis sister got assassinated since an Iron arrow is floating in the water above the skeleton. People suspect that it was willhelm since he sounds suspicious. There might be some clues inside his tavern too. Willhelm then might have done the black sacrament again to end Narfi out of his misery
OYFUM...oh wait, wrong channel

Fuck off graenolf
Due to your videos, made me feel like revisiting skyrim again. It's now even more enjoyable due to you :D
Dark brorherhood quests? You mean "DESTROY THE DARK BROTHERHOOD!" ?
Made in Oklahoma no chief that aint it
Funny thing if the bandits did the Black sacrament, they’ll still attack you when you go there. Well if anyone who hired the assassin ends up killed by the assassin, not much of a benefit to them init
First time I played Skyrim, I never knew about Nafi’s sister. That can happen if you accept the contract before meeting him
Hey Nate I have a skyrim fact for your next video
The dunmer student in the collage of winterhold (name escapes me) mentions that she is a telvani wizard but according to the game script mentions that she isn't from morrowwind she's from solstien and there is only one telvani wizard lives in solstien
So it's likely that Brelyna is Neloth's daughter/granddaughter?
J17 I think granddaughter or niece considering the last names
I have a 10 tiny deatails I just saw on xbox360
During the civil war when you invade at fort dunstad you will hear a war horn and if you're fast enough you can see a stormcloak or imperial soldier blowing the war horn and it honestly looks awesome
Guess you could say this is a top ten list of people you didn’t know you could “murder to death”
It feels good to be one of the first sometimes
I'm not sure you'll see this, but for Narfi's quest to find Reyda, you can actually find two arrows floating avove the water, however when they load they will drift away. This points towards murder or at least a hunting accident, since it couldn't be draugr since they use ancient arrows that weren't found.
Now you're really scraping the bottom of the fish barrel. Who even misses these quests?
Everyone played them. The video is about what you may have missed about the characters you kill.
I always hate killing Agnis. I love her sassy personality
First.. Probably not lol
You're second ;____; So close
When the player and Katriah's ghost go to see Katriah's body, she'll tell the player to take her bow. If the player press "Take all" when they examine her body, they'll get a unique dialogue interaction.
