      This was great, I been tryin to find out about "pills to take to last longer in bed" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Xiyatalie Stamina Stampede - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.

    these videoa are awesome! thank you so much. as a retired RN & also disabled with Ehlers-Danslos Syndrome (connective tissue/collagen production genetic disorder) I have been on the search for some non-stress core builders. & having encountered so many in healthcare community who viewed me as a "wimp" (I didn't look handicapped till my spine collapsed into scoliosis curve with my rib cage resting on my hip) I am thrilled to see a member of the healthcare team not afraid to say the words "pelvic floor" without blushing, losing words, & brushing it away as if it's not an important topic. Trust me, when you hit 60 or sometimes before,when you & all your friends whisper about incontinence issues, you'll understand what valuable teaching all these videos are. Sadly, my illness is considered rare (1/500,000) I know 6 people in my area of 3m people who have clinical signs & suffer symptoms of EDSb which includes early-onset continence problems due to loss of integrity of supportive tissues. Thank you so much for having the courage to say "I knwow my body j this isn't normal" & then doing something about it & sharing it to help others. You are an exceptional person, Dr. Bri!

      Sending love to you, Judy! I'm so glad you found my channel and I hope it provides you some support for your needs. YES, I'm all about spreading the word about pelvic health and making it less of a blush-worthy, "taboo" topic. It's a group of muscles, just like the biceps, and we don't blush when talking about our arms! Glad you're on board with my message.

    I am a 45 year old man who has just been diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction. I have been to a pelvic floor physiotherapist. it's very expensive so it's nice that you put this video online. Quick question though. With the Re-verse Kegel.. as I breathe out do lower my floor lower in concert with my breath.

    Thank you so much for these instructions on a reverse kegel. My pelvic physical therapist suggested that I do these due to hypertonic PC muscles that were making it hard to graduate to the next size up on vaginal dilators for vaginismus. Your directions helped me so much and I liked the visualizations that went with the video.

One thing I did not expect was the chronic pain in my upper rectus abdominal that I've had on and off for years seems to be easing too after these. Pelvic tension must be both nature and nurture. My mother, sister, and I all have been chronically lifelong constipated. I suspect there is a genetic factor. I've been an anxious person throughout life. In addition, I suffered from BPH as an aging man, and had laser prostate surgery to ally symptoms of BPH and urine retention. Although the procedure was initially moderately effective, five months post-op I'm back to increasing hesitancy and difficult bowel movements, despite high fiber diet and increased water intake. I feel my plight is at least muscle-tension related...I can feel my sphincters clench. The doctors say..."don't use Kegels!"...the physical therapist demonstrated to me by doing Kegels, my floor relaxes afterward. I'm in a dilemma. Much more emphasis needs to be done on this topic...men are suffering.

    This is so so helpful! I find I hold my pelvic floor and my abs a lot. I focused on strengthening so much and didn’t know relaxing was a thing 😅.
    Anyways, I have a question. I’ve had two children. My recent is almost a year old. No tearing with either but did experience what they call “skid marks”. 🤷‍♀️
    Anyways, I’m finding relaxing is not natural for me and when I do it’s almost like I experience very minute amounts of releasing pain, yet I wouldn’t necessarily call it pain. It just feels like muscles that have never had kinks worked out are now getting kinks worked out. Does that make sense? Is that a thing?
    I don’t mind it a bit! If I had to describe it feels like getting a knot worked out which feels like a good pain if that makes sense? 😂

    Hi there, is it common for women with pelvic floor dysfunction to have pain near the kidney as well? My doctor doesn't think i have a kidney infection but this flank and abdominal pain is worrisome for me. It's only on one side just below my ribs. I've had bladder issues similar to a uti ongoing for over 2 months.

    I had to learn to do this after my daughter was born and the csection scar caused a super tight pelvic floor. It got so tight it tore my hip labrum! PT suggested I read a book that talked about doing these and amazingly enough I instinctively did it. I call them reverse elevators but same thing. Question, would videos on your channel which are safe for prolapse and such be safe for people prone to tight pelvic floors?

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  7 років тому

      Hi Emma, great question. Most videos will be safe as long as you really tune into your body and STOP if any of the moves feel like they're over-activating your issues or aggravating your pain. Buffer in an extra 5-10 minutes after the video to completely release/relax after doing anything that involves core strengthening (even if it's prolapse-safe). However, if pelvic floor tension is your primary concern then I recommend sticking with the following playlist initially: ua-cam.com/play/PLDputRBPsHFQJ6PhSXjW54Oi-QoNCqsGL.html You might benefit from the "starter moves for tight pelvic floor, weak core" video which is on the playlist. Also stay tuned to my channel (be sure to subscribe) as I'll be posting more yoga-focused videos later this summer and into the Fall. All my best to you!

      A year later and I thought I’d watch this as a refresher - exciting to realise I seem to have gotten the hang of it with time! I’ve heard some physiotherapists recommend releasing on the exhale instead of the inhale, but like you described in the video it feels more natural to me to release/drop on the inhale as my belly expands. Is this still the best way to continue with this exercise? I have endometriosis and pelvic floor dysfunction and find your videos so helpful for relieving pelvic pain, thank you! 🙏🏻💕

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  6 років тому +1

      Emily, that would be ideal (seeing a women's health physio)! If you're unable to sense the relaxation based on the instruction on this video, and after really "tuning in" to your body, then I think a PT is a definite "must" before your next step. However, if you feel like you've mastered the art of relaxation and can really sense the difference between contraction and relaxation then go ahead and give strengthening a try! Start slowly and gradually progress. You might want to begin with my lift series, even if you don't have prolapse: femfusionfitness.com/lift-pelvic-organ-support/

    • @vibrantpelvichealth

      Hi NJ, great question and YES!
