After four years of making things, I'm just now discovering your channel! I love that you keep right to the point and don't get all chatty like a lot of people do on their channels. Your instructions are precise, to the point, easy to understand and you show each step up close! I'm in the process of looking for all your videos and saving them.
Thanks. You are so kind
Exactly how my wife and I feel! Perfect format and content. TY Jan.
@@JanHowelldo you need an ink jet printer to make these? Or any printer will work?
I love when people share their "light"😊. You're an awesome instructor. AND, your blouse is gorgeous.
Thanks. You are so kind
Wow, I just got in touch with a company from Africa, to get a quote for labels… I’m making my own. Thank You Jesus! Thank you too Miss Jan.💕
You are so welcome. You got this!
I watched the self-binding baby blanket video and was admiring your tags. I was wondering how you made them and here you go, posting a great, informative video on how to make them! Thank you for the exceptional idea.
You are so welcome.
First of of all ma'am! This is exactly what I was looking for.
2 I love your vibe.
3 Your hair cut is sharp!
Thank you for this.
Thank you. You are so kind! Glad this was helpful. Enjoy your day!
If you don't want the cut edges of the ribbon to fray and don't want to use fray check, you could just cut the ribbon with a hot cutter. The wood urning tools at the craft store are cheap and all come with an exacto knife attachment.
Nice tip, thanks.
Great idea, thanks!
I have this same paper cutter, and it is worth every penny! The replacement blades are easily found on line or in the store and it is simple to remove the old blade and replace it with the new one. The wire that shows the exact cutting area is a big help. I use it to make detailed greeting cards, but did not know it would cut fabric too! Thanks!
I just discovered your channel and I'm so happy I did! I first watched your simple zipper bag tutorial and have just come here for the tag video. I so appreciate your teaching style, so simple and clear with all the details. Your easy going smooth demeanor makes such a difference. You have quite a following and I can see why. Thank you Jan.
Thanks. You are so kind

no, they will melt

Thank you so much for this video! Is it okay to put on clothes that are washed often?
Yes of course! I have t-shirts that I've washed for many years and the labels are still going strong.
Thanks for the tutorial! I am just wondering if these labels can endure washing?
Yes. I have shirts that have labels and they have been washed regularly for many years. Of course, it may depend on the quality of transfer paper you are using. Here is a post where I give some suggestions for transfer paper that you may find helpful. youmakeitsimple.com/2022/03/27/top-4-heat-transfer-papers-for-making-custom-labels/
I like that. It's good idea you gave me you deserve 1 subscription😊
Thanks and welcome
I am probably asking a dumb question but how do you create the labels to even start to print as in creating the paper to print
Not a dumb question. Thanks for reaching out. The PDF download that you order has form fields where you just type in the text you want. And then you print that PDF as indicated in the tutorial.
Thank you. Great idea
You are welcome!
Great video. Can you recommend quality transfer sheets for a laser printer?
Here are some tips you may find helpful.
youmakeitsimple.com/2022/03/27/top-4-heat-transfer-papers-for-making-custom-labels/
This is really fun! Thanks for making this so simple. I'm a little concerned I washed the fabric before I read the instructions for the transfer paper--it says not to wash the fabric--hoping for the best!
You should be just fine.
love this video, seems very easy to do! I was using a different method and the labels were all fraying and when wash looked terrible. Love what youre doing will now try your methods. Thank you so much.

Hi jan. thanks for this great tutorial and your clever ideas. Can one also do this with a laser printer? I realize I would need to find different transfer paper. But I'm wondering if it's even possible - whether laser toner can be used this way. Thanks!
Yes, here is a link for laser transfer paper. geni.us/2qOmEC

Great video tutorial, thank you. Would a laser printer work for this, or do I need an ink jet?
It all depends on the type of transfer paper you use. Check on the label.
