    For crowd replication 9:40 might work but correct way to do it is either shoot the person IN LOCATION in front of green/blue screen OR shoot them anywhere in front of green/blue screen and track camera in post to replicate it and create a 3D environment and the matching camera in 3D.

    Are there specialists you can hire to facilitate the use of the motion control camera/ replicating the actors etc? Or is the director supposed to know how to do all this from beginning to end?

    • @HollywoodCameraWork
      @HollywoodCameraWork  4 роки тому +1

      Hi, it's very rare that a director or even DP would do motion control themselves. Even the simplest motion control rig would come with one or two operators who program the move for you. The director and DP would merely decide what shot they want, but the rest is done by the motion control operators. This is very fancy equipment, and it would be unheard of for any director any level to take control of it.

  • @pegbars
    @pegbars 6 років тому +1

    You're confusing an articulate matte with a garbage matte. A garbage matte is where you make a huge block around everything beyond your green screen by hand... it takes seconds. The green screen mattes the details around your subject - and everything in the shot beyond the greened area (lights, flags, c-stands, etc...) is the "garbage" you're blocking out with the garbage matte. It used to be a separate element in the photochemical blue screen days.

    • @HollywoodCameraWork
      @HollywoodCameraWork  6 років тому

      There's no difference, it's just a matte. Whether it's a garbage matte is only about what you use it for. From Flame/Inferno where we grew up, it was called a garbage matte. But a matte is a matte. It's a spline with control points and feather. This is not an important detail.

      Some literary giants may beg to differ:
      ‘Lift him out,’ said Squeers, after he had *literally* feasted his eyes in silence upon the culprit. (Charles Dickens, Nicholas Nickleby)
      *Literally,* I was (what he often called me) the apple of his eye. (Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre)
      "Literally" has been used in this sense for centuries.

    • @TheLooknFeel
      @TheLooknFeel 6 років тому +3

      There's no advantage to be gained by stretching the video. It just makes a bigger file size. The voiceover was done at a proper speed. It allows the viewer to take time and see the details and understand what's going on. Don't rush through everything.

    • @SnakeKoRn
      @SnakeKoRn 6 років тому

      Actually, there is. In order to be allowed to place ads in your video, you need 4.000 viewed hours of your audience, in the last 12 months.

    • @TheLooknFeel
      @TheLooknFeel 6 років тому

      But, once you've reached that level, there's no further advantage. And even so, the voiceover timing is just right.

    Creativity is more important than CGI shit. I hate CGI and computers get involved with art. it's not natural and right. if Art doesn't get involved with computers so computers should respect this too. Cinema is an art. it should stick with only people. even digital cameras are not welcome. Because if Art takes progress it becomes something new. it's not cinema anymore. if you start painting pictures on walls it's not a classic paintin art anymore. it becomes graffiti. but Whether graffiti is a kind of art or not is always arguable. because it's a new thing now other than art. I don't respect CGI in movies. Maybe This is Why Hollywood call it movie and not cinema. Who knows? :)
