This isn't just my favorite APC song, but one of my favorite songs of all time. It's so touching and so haunting, and at the time of its release it really helped me through some stuff. Bless that whole album honestly.
I get chills hearing this song this many years later just as I did the first time I heard this song. The album reminds me of such a time that made me stronger as a woman. Maynard has a magical voice.
Maynard's voice is always incredible but especially so in this performance.

I love this song since I was a tween-teen, but now that I’m 30 it finally clicked and it just hits me like a ton of bricks. Drop dead gorgeous song.

Paz, the bassist at the time is playing the violin. 😃. I’m a violin teacher and I wanna see a lotta my chica students do something awesome like she has. 💚 And Josh Freese is on drums. Such an amazing moment int his band’s history.

Maynard is fucking incredible after 25 yrs and 30 shows live between his 3 bands i still cry when i hear him sing live every time at least once his voice is like the combination of the devil and an angel combined
Maynard top 10 singer of all time.......because he does infact have an amazing voice and a good octive range...but then if you consider the depth of his lyrics and meanings...the artistry and beauty...then he is undeniably a top 10 singer of all time in my opinion.

One of the very few bands that are better live than recording.....how? Who knows lol.
Maynard's not just another level singer, he's a technician. There are few who work harder at making his vocals just right. His mic control is uncanny.
As much as you like Maynard it's stunning that you haven't done the Conan appearance of "The Outsider", or the Red Rock rendition of "Orestes". Why would you just skip over two of the most scintillating live performances ever outside of that ridiculous version of "Sober" from the Reading Festival in 92. Stop robbing yourselves of essential nutrients!
Jay Leno was disinterested by what he just heard.
Maybe try to enjoy the whole performance before talking the song to death. If not for your own experience than maybe for your audience? Just a suggestion.
