One of my favorite APC songs. The transitions and just the emotion thru the tone. Just is a powerful and well written song. The whole 13th Step album still stacks up to today's produced albums in the genre
Incredible vocals. Incredible performance. Perfection. I would have used 'dying to get what I need' or 'what I came for' at least once. Lol, I very rarely critque anything he does. And it works wonderfully to keep using 'lying' as it is so common with addicts. I mean they have to to keep getting their fix. And mostly because it can and most likely WILL lead to you losing your life. Great reaction. Just saw your reaction to 'The Remedy'...it is also 🔥
One of my favorite APC songs, and live at Red Rocks no less. Another tremendous performance, such is the norm with anything Maynard is involved in. I'm definitely biased, but anything the man touches turns to gold. Glad y'all enjoyed this one! Cheers!
MJK is a genius. How many ppl can successfully 'front' for lack of a better term, three bands, and they all have unique sounds from each other, and each one is pure GREATNESS? Considering he doesn't consider himself the 'leader, or *lead* singer, I don't wanna label him as such. His voice is another instrument, and all the 'instruments and members are equally working together to create magic.' This song, like most of APCs songs, is tragic beautiful, haunting, relatable. The ONLY thing, lol, and I NEVER critique him ftmp, cuz he is so spot on with how he approaches each project, and in most of his performances over the yrs. I would of used one other line also. 'Dying to get what I need...or at the point he says *came* for,' as that stuff will literally take you out. You are slowly k*lling yourself. It would of added that lil extra in conveying the desperation addicts deal with. And the way they treat others and what the end results can be. I can't get enough of MJKs work rn. Whether it's Tool, APC, or Puscifer. It's helping me get thru some hard times. And I just watched ya'll react to 'The Remedy' which is also a banger, and one of my favorite songs. I use it to let out my anger over nasty, divisive ppl ...not to their face, mind you, but just in my own lil world doing anger therapy'. 😂
I was fortunate enough to be at this show in 2011 at Red Rocks. I was in Row 48, but my brother was in Row 10! I was 10th row for Primus, who played the night after (my brother was Row 48), but I would have traded him in a second considering how iconic this performance became! I don't think we knew at the time that they were making a concert DVD! But I'll get a little bit of retribution when I get to see APC, Primus, and Puscifer play 2 shows together at Red Rocks for Maynard's 60th birthday in April. (My brother ain't going to this one hehe.)
I was on APC's street team back in the day. I saw them with NIN about a month before Mer De Noms released and it was awesome. The lineup changed for Thirteen Step but it's such an amazing album and I think it's even better live.
Comes and gets what he came for then robs him. The next song the noose is him coming out of rehab asking for forgiveness. GREAT CONCERT I SAW TOOL COLUMBUS AWESOME
Billy Howerdel has a solo album that came out last year (I think). It's very different from APC, but I really like it. Free and Weightless would be my recommendation from that album, if you would like to check it out.
For me the studio version is even better. It's not really much different, but the few places that it is makes a big impact to the mood in my opinion. We need more Maynard reactions for sure! Keep up the good work! Edit...Oh yeah, this is also one of the best albums you'll ever hear. It's a concept album so you'll wanna start at the beginning and work your way through in order, straight masterpiece in composition as well as sound engineering!!
This whole concert is fire.
I was lucky enough to be there that night. Nothing compares to red rocks.
💯💯💯
@jrtilley seen mjk like 20 times just seen him last week with sessanta hope u have tickets to red rocks for sessanta.
This album (The Thirteenth Step) is one of my favorite albums of all time. The whole thing is incredible!
Yeah, this whole concert is insanely good!
So hypnotic. Saw them in Tulsa. Perfect sound engineering. Superb show.
Going to see APC, Puscifer, and Primus in April @ Red Rocks. I’m stoked!
Happy for ya' man, soooo wish I could see that show!!
One of my dreams destinations to see a concert!!
I'm seeing the exact same concert at the Hollywood Bowl
@@lebourreau7177 I’m checking off 2 spots on my bucket list. First time seeing APC and seeing a show at Red Rocks.

APC at Red Rocks is a spiritual experience!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 doesn’t get much better!
It's on my bucket list 😭❤️

Perfect Circle is a must see Concert live
Wow this sounds really great.

Hell yeah!! Me too, Hollywood Bowl 4/20 😌🤘 seen them all before multiple times but who caresss it's gonna be insane!
Y'all hear that Josh Freese is coming back to perform with APC live at Sessanta
You should react to "Orestes" from the same live. It's just surreal, Maynard and Billy's voices blend so good together in that one.
By and down the river by APC is haunting
eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Thirteenth step album remains in my top albums of all time
Can you imagine being there??!!?? Damn!!

The Noose in the same concert please
ANYTHING from that concert would work ...LOL
Yeah perfect
This album (Thirteenth Step) is one of the best albums crafted of all time. Absolutely soul moving from beginning to end, ZERO skips.
Great concert . My boy Josh kills those drums
He'll be bored with the foo fighters
I believe it's Jeff Friedl here
@@shawn9566 no its Josh Freese
Maynard is legendary.

😮 lucky mf'er 😭🤘🏼
Love this song, though it reminds me of a dark period of my life. The Hollow by APC is amazing too
Good to see some more APC on the channel
Epic track from an epic album “The Thirteenth step” 😎
Man, Iha should be a mater of merit in this one as well! Structs me what good of a 2nd guitar he is!
Sessanta here we come!! APC, Puscifer AND Primussss 🤩🤘 Hollywood Bowl, 4/20 🤠
Just got my tiks to see them at Forest Hills, NY. So siked!
Hell yeah! It's gonna be epicccc. 4 more days to 😮@@jasonbrown5201
Hell yeah, this is my 4:20 vid of the day 🤘
Bet
One of APC's best song for me personally. Though I'm not a massive apc fan.
Comes and gets what he came for then robs him. The next song the noose is him coming out of rehab asking for forgiveness. GREAT CONCERT I SAW TOOL COLUMBUS AWESOME

First time seeing this one live. Amazing. Game OVER or OVERGAME
OVER GAME! Yes sir!
Nobody touches Maynard live period and i have seen many the only one i seen that could touch Maynard live is dead Layne Staley
Agree 💯 my friend 🤘🏼
The lead singer sings in the dark.
So sad josh isn’t playing drums on this. Totally different calibre of drummer compared to Jeff.
Q
Meh, Maynard's other bands just don't do it for me 🤷🏻
Ur crazy
What more can you really say? A Perfect Circle is Perfect.
