Excellent! This video applied perfectly with my A7C II. I guess for many, multi is the "set it and forget it" mode?

Another great video. This is a part that i didn't really explored until this video. But i'm very enthousiastic about it. This can really improve the use of my brand new A6700 camera. It gives me a more safe feeling than manual light compensation wich went terribly wrong one time long ago. Since then i never used it again.
Same as you, i also use this camera for military aviation photography. It looks like you are a Lakenheath Airbase spotter, right? And we both know how fast weather circumstances and daylight can change outdoors. So a video like this is always very welcome. Going to test it out as soon as possible at Volkel Airbase, The Netherlands.

Thank you. Great video. I also enjoyed your A6700 focus video. I am considering a small mid-priced Sony camera primarily for hiking, nature, and wildlife. Trying to decide between A6700 and A7Cii. I'm not thrilled about having to shoot compressed raw to get full burst speed on those cameras. I'd love to see a video on your take of the difference between Sony raw, compressed raw, and lossless raw, if you are knowledgeable on that topic.

Hello, just want to ask if which one or better, metering mode or focusing mode and focus area, also can you combine some setting for both? Which ome are you using?

Nice job and would welcome any suggestions on taking dusk, setting sun sky, etc. Auto color balance loses the wonderful red/orange reflections on the clouds. Thanks

Thanks for the informative video and looking forward to seeing more but the camera’s not such a beast as I was hoping - I’ve altered the Metering Mode to Spot and the Spot Metering Point to Focus Point Link hoping this would work in Tracking Spot, for Focus Area, with Focus Mode in Continuous, but sadly not as I now realise that it will just follow the Focus Spot as you move it around the scene with the D pad on the back of the camera.
I sometimes shoot rally cars in forests, quite often the cars are mainly white against the dark background of the trees so I will use Subject Recognition set to Cars, Continuous Focus and either Tracking Spot or Zone to grab the car and Metering Mode set to Multi with Exposure Compensation turned down a couple of stops to prevent burnt out highlights on the car. I suppose a similar scenario would be trying to photograph a moving white Gull with a predominantly dark cliff as the background.
Would you say that these were the best settings? TIA

How is the sigma 16mm lens working? new a6700 owners such as me is having issues with sigma lenses.. during night photography and video, the lens had trouble focusing on auto default settings and modes snapping photos.. it would lock up or crash camera where it would be in the middle of opening shutter taking a picture and get stuck. And if camera recovered after like 10-20 seconds it would then close shutter and save shot and then make camera not work right for next shot, no focus or zooming in playback or anything… would have to wait minutes or turn camera off and back on… when it locked up bad, it even lost connection with lens and show two dashes where focal point is on screen…
No Sony lens did this just sigma.. others on Reddit have said this happens too… don’t know if it’s a sigma issue, or a6700 issue…
