This is a great initial introduction to the menu system of the A6700. I'm still looking for a very thorough, SLOW PACED, tutorial. I'm sure these will be coming out once the camera is circulating. Thanks again, you got ahead of the pack :).
Thanks for watching! And thanks for the feedback, these are more quickstart guides so I try my best to keep the videos short but will try to pack more info in going forward!
Hi, My display screen on the a6700 displays completely different colours during still photography than the images I shoot. The actual images are great and the awb works great 8/10 times but the live image on the camera display is a bit contrasty and a bit cyan. I checked to see if it had to do with the picture profiles in video mode but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any recommendations of why the colours look completely different on the display screen?
Hey, loved your video. My question is why is the x missing from my screen to cancel the touch function. It was originally there and them when I was saving to memory I lost the function. You can touch focus but no square appears or x function. I love the camera and have ordered a fan to solve the heating problem. Great video. Thanks
Very good tutorial, I'm almost ready to buy this camera, only wondering if the Auto Framing will work over HDMI and onto a capture card --> to live-streaming software (Ecamm Live in my case). I'm doing guitar instruction from my studio and sometimes I'll show equipment, move around, so the Auto Framing would be very beneficial. Thanks very much!
@@MomentTutorials Bought the A6700 and like it very much. Tried the Auto Framing and still not sure about the best settings haha. On the other hand, just got me a new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and that subject/face tracking is amazing... A6700 proved to be a great video camera for couple of live events (music) in low light, shot in Slog3. Happy with both cameras.
Thanks for the review of settings. I have the a6500 and thinking of upgrading. Only use for family photos and trips. I like the built-in flash for its convenience and not having to carry a separate flash. Is there a small flash attachment for the Sony a6700 or what would you recommend? Also, the a6500 has a panoramic setting on the top dial which I use on scenery shots to get the big picture. How do I achieve the same effect with the a6700? Do you think it’s really worth $1400 to upgrade or would it be better to invest in lenses (presently use the Sony F1.8, 24mm prime, Sigma F1.4 , 30 mm prime, and the Sony 18-105, F4. I have the two kit lenses that came with the camera, but haven’t used those for a long time (not very good lenses overall). Thanks.
Hey Tim! For flash I’d recommend this one from sony www.shopmoment.com/products/sony-alpha-hvl-f28rm-external-flash/hvl-f28rm-flash And the panoramic setting should be accessible in the drive modes on the a6700! And great question! I’d recommend the a6700 upgrade if you want mostly better video features like 10 bit color and 4k 120 but if you mainly want to take photos getting a faster zoom lens like the Tamron 17-70 2.8 www.shopmoment.com/products/tamron-17-70mm-f-2-8-di-iii-a-vc-rxd/sony might be a better investment for now!
It can overheat in hot conditions it just depends on what scenario you are in. If you're shooting under warm sunlight it will overheat quicker than if you were shooting in a room temp studio. Hope this helps - Victor
I have a problem with my Shutter speed display, it displayed as 48.0 the lowest setting. Unable to select fractions. What did I do wrong when I set up my Sony A6700? Help!!!
If I am using the Manual mode (M), then I chose a certain Picture Profile (PP), will the PP be applied to both videos and still photos? Or just to videos when you press record and not to still photos when you press the photo shutter?
If your budget is $850, the we'd say go with the ZV-E10! Don't forget to factor in batteries and sd cards for your budget as well. You can get the body and lens for $798 on shopmoment.com :) www.shopmoment.com/products/sony-alpha-zv-e10-aps-c-interchangeable-lens-mirrorless-vlog-camera/kit-black
I like a tutorial that is more thorough and picture taking centered. Also it would be nice if you could talk slower so I would not have the UA-cam speed down to 75%, which makes your speech blurring.
Great information I am sure, but I am not sure why the 'under 9 minutes' is important. The pace is so fast that is impossible to follow without stopping and backtracking every 3 seconds.
Great feedback! We strive to make straight to the point no fluff videos so time is a concern but will be sure to wall through a bit slower going forward
100% agree. On my a6700 i use Sigma 10-18mm f2.8, Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 and Sony 70-350mm. For primes i use Viltrox 27mm f1.2 and Viltrox 75mm f1.2 🔥🔥🔥 On zoom lenses i got 10-350mm covered and then the two beast must have aps-c prime lenses 😎
Sony A6700 available now on www.shopmoment.com/products/alpha-6700-aps-c-mirrorless-camera/body-only

Impressive simplicity to this video. Bravo!
Thanks so much! We do our best to give straight to the point videos 🙌
Sony A6700 😮💨🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for going over all the hardware buttons. I didn’t know what to call them.
Of course! I actually had to google them as well because i didnt know either haha!

Thanks so much! Try pressing down on the control dial by your thumb! that should give different monitor options and show the x again

Thanks so much for watching! Yes you can enable auto frame through hdmi in the auto framing settings!

Thanks for the video. Is it possible from the camera to create a panorama?
Yes you can switch to panorama in the drive mode!
Short and sweet. thanks.
I do have one question: does this camera offer a histogram? If so I can't find it in the menu.
If you press down on the control dial by your thumb a couple times you should see an option for histogram!
Awesome Video! What lens should i pair to shoot in studio ballet videos
Thanks so much! The Sony 20-70 is a very flexible focal length for a variety of shots and very light!
@@MomentTutorials great thanks for your help
Does it over heat?
It can overheat in hot conditions it just depends on what scenario you are in. If you're shooting under warm sunlight it will overheat quicker than if you were shooting in a room temp studio. Hope this helps - Victor
I have a problem with my Shutter speed display, it displayed as 48.0 the lowest setting. Unable to select fractions. What did I do wrong when I set up my Sony A6700? Help!!!
Hmm, I'd try doing a full reset of all settings and also double check you're running the latest firmware!
Hope this helps! - Victor
does touch subject tracking work with 4K 120 fps ?
It's been a while since we tested but yes I believe so!
😍😍😍😍😍😍 a6700 la quiero!!!
¡sí, también amamos la a6700!🙌
If I am using the Manual mode (M), then I chose a certain Picture Profile (PP), will the PP be applied to both videos and still photos? Or just to videos when you press record and not to still photos when you press the photo shutter?
The Picture Profile will be applied to both!
will v60 card be enough to get best quality?
We recommend v90 for absolute best
Great job, thank you!
Thanks for watching Phil, we're happy to help!
Just got the A7Siii do you have the slog lut 5:50 options?

Yes. People actually use these great Sony a-series cameras to take PICTURES. Not everyone is a vlogger.
Great notes I’ll be sure to consider that in the future! - Victor

wow A6700 !
BIG wow!
Why did they make the EVF and LCD so bad. The competition destroys it on that front.
Probably as a way to keep cost down a bit more for consumers
It should be illegal for reviewers to use kit lens.
Nah. IMO, they should use the kit lens as well as other lenses. Kit lens to show how it performs with it, and others to show what it can do.
We actually used a mixture of the kit lens and also the g master 16-35 for our shoot!
100% agree. On my a6700 i use Sigma 10-18mm f2.8, Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 and Sony 70-350mm.
For primes i use Viltrox 27mm f1.2 and Viltrox 75mm f1.2 🔥🔥🔥
