alice I couldn’t eat veggies all day and feel satisfied... for me personally it would be restricting, too. But if she loves veggies, good for her, I couldn’t :( and I’m also watching my diet, eating enough protein, but veggies will always be hard for me to eat.

(preface: i dont want any vegans replying to me and telling me that veganism is accessible- because that’s a lie. actually, i dont want vegans commenting on my reply at all. or non-americans.) unfortunately in america, raw veggies, vegan/gluten free options and those types of things are pricier than frozen things, i think it’s 1.50 more? but it adds up, and our busy work schedules makes it hard to find time to cook meals at home (and meal prep). being vegan by choice is a privilege dictated by class- of course, if you are vegan by reasons of allergies or those types of things then this doesn’t apply to you. i’m talking about vegans who choose to be vegans. if you have a stable income, work less and have more time then you’re able to spare more money for the healthier stuff, and you have more time to make these meals. however, if you’re always working and have less time, then instant meals/fast food is more accessible. not everyone has 20 minutes to cook, and then there’s the problem with food waste but we’re not getting into that.

I've been a lactovegetarian for almost 6 years... and I feel like there is so much more that I have to learn about food, be more creative and mix more things! I feel like my body craves more and more fresh and healthy food every day, I am Costa Rican so maybe I've been sticking to our traditional dishes, but i have to explore more outside of my comfort zone! Kate MacFadyen hi! I feel like she practices intuitive eating rather than portion sizing, so eating until you just begin to feel full. For example if there was a scale from 1-10 (1 being starving 10 being stuffed) she probably stops at a 6-8 fullness. portion sizes are hard because everyone has a different body and activity level, so the best thing is to try and stop eating when the hunger goes away rather than focusing on numbers and amounts. just my opinion!
@@Jelymit well the problem with that is to know ahead of time how much you're gonna eat. I often prepare too much or not enough, and then have to deal with that (either how to keep or what to do with the leftovers, in worst case having to throw away food which is a waste; or having to choose between going hungry or preparing another meal which wastes time and energy). And that's the only reason why I started to try and weigh portion sizes to have a better guess, but it still isn't perfect because some days I just have more appetite or feel more hungry than others

end was so important. i struggle with digestive/bowel problems lmao tmi but whatever and i literally just can't eat processed foods like pizza rolls or i feel sick!!!! it's not a restrictive thing, it's just genuinely not worth eating that stuff if i'm going to be in pain

I've been a lactovegetarian for almost 6 years... and I feel like there is so much more that I have to learn about food, be more creative and mix more things! I feel like my body craves more and more fresh and healthy food every day, I am Costa Rican so maybe I've been sticking to our traditional dishes, but i have to explore more outside of my comfort zone! Kate MacFadyen hi! I feel like she practices intuitive eating rather than portion sizing, so eating until you just begin to feel full. For example if there was a scale from 1-10 (1 being starving 10 being stuffed) she probably stops at a 6-8 fullness. portion sizes are hard because everyone has a different body and activity level, so the best thing is to try and stop eating when the hunger goes away rather than focusing on numbers and amounts. just my opinion!
@@Jelymit well the problem with that is to know ahead of time how much you're gonna eat. I often prepare too much or not enough, and then have to deal with that (either how to keep or what to do with the leftovers, in worst case having to throw away food which is a waste; or having to choose between going hungry or preparing another meal which wastes time and energy). And that's the only reason why I started to try and weigh portion sizes to have a better guess, but it still isn't perfect because some days I just have more appetite or feel more hungry than others
