Pitching NORTENT Gamme 8 PC in 70 seconds
Excellent, but I am not sure how you connected them and made it waterproof?
Nice video ❤️💚
Superb making them all modular.
Useful, thank you.
Amazing product. Now please make a small Polycotton tent with stove option :)
Cool tent, but the animal noises are fake, and annoying, can't watch it all.
I like the idea of self-adhesive patches.😊
That tent looks sooooo good. My only comment would be the door zip on both ends is on the same side if that makes sense. Wouldn't it have been better to put the zips on opposite sides. This would then give even more door opening options when the wind really starts to blow. I'm sure there must be a reason why Nortent didn't think of this or I'm missing something.
Is it. 2 door or one door
3 door
Looks great 🙂👍
Too heavy for a 1p tent.
No its not.
@@QuakerJones268 yeah, it is. That is, unless you're the kind to drag up 6 cans on a Friday night and come home Monday. Nothing for multi day trips.
@@northernswedenstories1028 No thanks, no cans for me. It’s a heavy backpacking tent but not a heavy base tent. It all depends what it’s being used for.
Very helpful video. Thanks for posting.
Looks very convenient. Ideal if (like me) you have been careless with a hot head torch .
Looks fantastic well done Nortent ,would love to own one a very practical tent with it's two good sized vestibules and great ventilation options 👍👍
The Ly 1 looks extremely spacious and should make a good winter tent for that reason to start with. I look forward to more videos showing the details. Well done once more Nortent!
Love it ❤🎉
Sub 40mph winds and the poles snap. Definitely not a 4 season tent.
Just watched the Nortent Ly 2 tent setup, now I'm interested. Can't wait until you do a review!
Looks superb! Looking forward to seeing this one for real. Really like the extra middle pole to increase living space stability.
I'm really digging this tent. Pretty cool! 👴 Those big humps of grass could be uncomfortable.
Another great looking tent. Looks like it would have a lot of interior headroom. What diameter poles are you using, and is there room to double pole for high wind conditions?
Do you think this 2-man tent would be big enough for two persons and a German Shepherd dog?
How does the doubling of poles install? Do you need to double up all the poles or just two reds or two blue poles etc. What is the standard tent configuration with single poles capable of withstanding in terms of wind strength? Where do the extra poles fit at the bottom of the tent and as they go over the tent are there additional clipping points on the tent for the additional poles or do you just use alternative clips for the second pole? Also the footprint sheet does that go into the entrance porches to provide a floor at the entrances.
Very interesting tent and setup! Nice to see this type of tent on a bigger size. Also, please check mispelling on “guidelines” and who’s idea was to put nonstopping birds chirping on the video?
These are very good tents however which tent is this? The two or the three man?
This is Ly 2. Ly 3 is about 50 cm longer. as the three persons inside sleep lengthwise, not across the width. Other than that it is identical.
Isn't this more or less the original Vern 2 with a more versatile door configuration? Not that there are anything wrong with that, I am happy to see you have not shelved that design completely. :)
Yes. Kind of. But with only 3 poles which also reduces the weight. Ly 2 is about 800 grams lighter than Vern 2. Of course Vern 2 is freestanding, etc.. Give and take with both of them.
A nice addition to the range! I do love a classic tunnel for all round use. Love the door flexibility and I assume on this you sleep across the width, not lengthwise ? What packed weights are they coming in at ? Atb Andrew
You are right, Andrew. You sleep across the width. Like Vern 2. Ly 2 is between 3500 grams and 3700 grams, max weight.. It comes with a total of 18 guylines in such a way that it should be able to adapt to most conditions. But it seems perhaps a bit overkill to supply pegs for all guylines. So, we have not decided on the number of pegs as a standard yet.
Amazing Video, good work and useful for the users to setup.
I have seen a few reviews of owners being out in high winds and their poles have bend and someone's snapped so i'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get 10mm poles from?
Футпринт есть?
I need this tent!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I can't wait to use my Vern 2.
Man, those pegs aren't coming out in a hurry.
OMG. How many guy lines???!!! Thanks but....no thanks
George, for god sake get it together man!
@@Saxonpod 😁😁😁
Hİ i see ther are so much similarity between hilleberg and nortent for example way of attach pols and material used for hooks and other . are there any pantent problem here aor all are normal design in both brand ??
love the innovation! ive got the old version of this tent! and i kinda want to try this one out! would love to compare them side by side
I must say I am a little gutted that I bought the previous version of the Vern 1 (still in its packing unfortunately) before this mega version hit the shops. I would like to see a similar video from Nortent using version 1 to see how it fares in rough conditions
Are you ging to roll of your inflatable.
Sweet. 👴
Nyttig info, 👍
Flott film og et flott telt. Hadde det bare vært litt lengre 😢
I had my Vern 1 back yesterday and pitched it out the garden to give it check over before getting out in the mountains with it and i'm really impressed.
Hello! Can you please share dimensions of packed tent?
Hi. Pack size is about 40x18x18 cm. But keep in mind that we intentially made the bag big in such a way that you easily would be able to pack the tent into the bag. You can compress it even further.
Amazing how Norway is so like the lake district. Thanks for sharing this. I see you were using the wind toppling the tripod indicator! I hope you had a great night in what is proving to be an excellent tent.
You're right, there are some striking similarities between the two places. Watching videos from the UK, I can't help but feel right at home! Haha, the "wind indicator" tells a story, yes.:-). Cozy, warm and comfortable night that definitely helped warm up my numb fingers. ;-). Thanks for the kind words about our Vern 1.
I have to say I'm loving the Vern 1 so far and I've had over 150 tents . Yes I was given it for review but if I think something has a problem, I'll tell people. It's been quite an eye opener to see some of the cynicism being directed at the Vern and Nortent generally. I think it's genuinely rattled some of the wild camping community using other Nordic brands. Don't get me wrong, some of these other well know names are in my top ten tents of all time but I'm somewhat amused by the reaction amongst owners/users. I think it will take some weeks or months of field use for some wild campers to 'trust the brand' and at that point I think we'll see some migration from other brands. After all we are talking about some great models here at half the price of similar spec models in the market. Interesting times and well done Nortent ! Andrew
Well said Andrew, definitely a market disruption!
I have bought 4 tents so far but always wanted a "premium" tent.... just couldn't justify the price of many of the options out there.... until now. This tent really is a game changer, which I felt compelled to pre-order in the UK. It offers everything I want, and most importantly, at a reasonable price 👍 Mine is now listed as shipping so I should have it any day now. If the videos I've seen so far are anything to go by (including the UA-camrs who commented here) I'm going to be one VERY happy customer!
With over 150 tents under your belt, your genuine appreciation for the Vern 1 means the world to us at Nortent. We understand brand loyalty runs deep, and earning trust as a new player takes time. The "cynicism" you've observed is intriguing, and we share your belief that healthy competition elevates the entire industry. With that said. We firmly believe the Vern 1 offers exceptional value and performance, standing strong on its own merits. Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback, Andrew.
It’s a great looking thing!
It’s very clear this tent has been designed ground up by people who camp themselves. The mesh vents, door peaks, clipped groundsheets to name just a few. In a crowded market, you have achieved innovation, functionality and value for money. Testament to your founder, well done guys
Cool video 😊 greetings from Sweden
Greetings back. :-)
I never ever get a 1 man tent as way to small im 6'3 so always get 2man tent, like the Tarptent scarp 2man,kelty military tactical tent 2man, hilleberg staika. This tent from Nortent looks awesome so it definitely looks like my next purchase next month, great video and will watch out for Fellman Daves internal review 👍
I would do anything for a tent like that. Just ace.
I would do pretty much anything for a tent like this. Been looking at Hillebergs but haven’t bought because of condensation reviews. This looks like it’s the one!! Absolute quality.
This tent has so much condensation it's almost unusable,
We always welcome constructive feedbacks. Could you please elaborate how you came to this conclusion in such a way that we perhaps can help you out?
@@NORTENT I don't own this tent - not me personally, we just tested on a river side and in the morning there was a lot of condensation inside (unfortunately I can't do more testing)
@@MoosebearAdventures It is always very humid alongside riverbanks. Especially at night. A tip is to move the camp a bit away from the river to awoid condensation during nighttime especially if there is no wind to circulate the air. Everything condensate here. Even the rocks on the ground. :-). Here is a link from our site that perhaps can be of help in regards to condensation in general. nortent.com/blog/polycotton-magic-wand
Any tent can get hammered by condensation, its the weather conditions/ the ground your on that dictates condensation. Its so annoying when some one makes a comment about condensation in a tent yet is ignorant to these facts. no offence meant btw
