جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ خَيْرًا
This is really helpful even interesting stuff. I appreciate how you shared how even the state agents treat you.
Specific question but what has been the internet speed there? Like download and upload speed? There are websites you can use to check that I just cant link it on youtube.
@@KyleKhalilOrtiz Wa iyyak my bro - The wifi speeds are actually very good depending on the internet provider - Maroc telecom seems to be the best and I've heard Orange is also decent
My current airbnb has download speed of 46.6 Mbps and upload speed of 59.0 Mbps (I just tested it), so it's more than enough for 2 people
@@yahyaspath Not bad I see, quite surprised actually سبحان الله
There are up to 200 Mbps subscriptions available from both Maroc Telecom and Orange. Orange is always cheaper, but Maroc Telecom offers strong coverage and many advantages over the others..

Renting houses and apartments in Morocco is exciting because there are many awesome properties with various prices from economical to high-end. There are loads of rental properties in Morocco as well, so many options to choose from.
Very true, my family and friends were shocked when I showed them videos of what you can get for only £400-600 a month - The fact you can find places for £200 a month is amazing too
Yes, I agree too.@@yahyaspath
How about the roi on buying apts and renting ? In the USA I’m avg 8-10% and i married a Moroccon as well and will be planning on settling there inshallah and want to learn more on the real estate market there
It takes a brave person to move to a country when you don’t even speak or understand the language. Alhumabarik happy for your success brother.
Ameen!
Assalamu alaikum, i just want to inform you about the complexe, my friend lives there and i can tell you that the environment is really good, there are many foreigners which also don’t speak darija and made hijra for the same reasons as you, overall it’s a very clean and nice complexe to settle in.
Wa alaykum assalam, yes I’ve heard the same - Jazakallah khair!
Congratulations brother, We're neighbors now.
Ma shaa Allah brother, we should grab some tea sometime In shaa Allah
Welcome to Morocco my brother !
Allahumma baarik. May Allah increase you and bless this journey!

MashAllah thank you for making this video. Alhumdulillah Allah blessed you and your wife to find a nice apartment. Also thank you for the tip about using Wise for transactions. I have been looking for a good use of transactions. InshaAllah Allah will bless us with a good experience once we are ready to go.
salam alikum bruv, seen you made it in here welcome also tanja whatever you wanna call it is a huge plus modren city anyway congratulations
Thank you for sharing your journey, it's very helpful! May Allah make your journey easy
Ameen - Thanks bro!
FYI: We live in the highest floor in the building and it can get more hot and humid in the highest floor than the lowest floor and the humidity in the beach towns can cause mould issues. We moved into a brand new building and experienced mould growth within a few weeks of moving in, I think it was due to the rainy weather at the time, it seems to have calmed down now in the more dry and warmer weather. You won't have that problem in areas such as Marakkech because its very hot and dry in those areas of Morocco without sea.
Get a decent sized dehumidifier
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉congratulations Brother❤❤❤so happy for you and your wife
Jazakallah khairah!
May Allah make it easy for you Brother

ALIHAMUDULILLAH ❤, I'M REALLY GLAD YOU GOT A BETTER HOUSE.I WAS SO SADNED ABOUT THE MOULDS AND THE BAD SMELL 😢,IMAGINE PAYING THAT MUCH FOR POOR HOUSING.ANYWAYS ALL COUNTRIES HAVE A LOT OF IMPERFECTIONS 😭.MAY ALLAH SW' PROTECT YOU AND OUR BEAUTIFUL 💕 WIFE FOR ONLY GOODNESS ✨.
Exactly our experience. My husband is Moroccan and is pretty good at smelling out the non-trustworthy agents just from a quick convo. You really have to be careful with them because unfortunately many will happily cheat you. "Think good about your brother" may not apply here because they do tend to have bad reputation.
By the way, I also sometimes use Wise for money transfers to Morocco, but I find Ria to be a really good option too.
And peace be upon you and mercy of Allah and his provisions. May Allah bless your life and guide me and you. Peace be upon you.
my allah bless you
In Turkey and UAE there is an estate agent fee, its normal in Europe I think its just UK that might not do it, but I have paid an agency fee in UK as well, in Leicester and in Birmingham so I think it just depends.
Just one advice habibi, please try to cover up the cross. I know its from the past and its probably too difficult to erase it all together, but still it'd be good if you can cover it up just like someone with a tattoo of a woman would try to cover it up. Hope I dont come across rude, i like your videos and all the information your sharing with us, i ask Allah to reward you. Truly beneficial. May Allah bless your hijra akhil-karim.
in Morocco the lower floors in an apartment building is more desirable and slightly more expensive, rather than the higher floors, in the UAE, and other countries the higher the better and more expensive they are.
Why is that?
Asalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, 2 questions.
1. Do you have a local masjid close enough for you to walk to, or do you have to drive?
2. How are you gonna speak to other people if inshaAllah you get settled in? Will you rely on that translator app or do you have something else in mind?
JazakAllah Khairan.
Wa alaykum assalam my bro
1. Yes, masjid is 5 mins walk and I can hear the adhaan
2. There is a hijrah community in Tanger, which is quite big actually. I have been put into contact with several British brothers now, who live here. But in shaa Allah, long term the goal is to learn Darija (Moroccan Arabic) to a conversational level
Great questions!
@@yahyaspath o
Cool
Asalam alaykom brother, I'm morrocan and live in the UK. If you need any help with translation or communicating with any Moroccans, I'm here to help. 👍

Asalm alikum brother, i recommend if your wife has family they can help you, that's better and easy also can get a good apartment in a good price
Salamou aley koume ! Sorry for asking you! When you say 5500 it’s monthly payment in dirham right? Barak Allah fik
السلام عليكم
Use Revolut brother

Try revolut for currency transfer
Good video. Interested to know how you earn a living and what you do whilst living in Morocco jazakallah khair

Good insight… They do tend to overcharge foreigners though. They did that to me as well…
In this instance, I don't think that happened unless the whole website is specifically for foreigners, which doesn't seem to be the case - But Allahu alam! Still a bargain
@@yahyaspath I guess but Alhumdullilah at least you found something. 👍
I did my Hijrah and I have nothing to worry about. It's not perfect but no LGBTGQABCSDG+ agenda here!
the apartment is quite expensive for us. I would say £300 is enough for two people, but I'm not sure what you guys are looking for. I didn't see the one you chose, but anyway, sakhara Allah
I did say you can find a place for £200 even, it depends on what your budget is and what you want - Our place is a furnished 3 bedroom modern apartment on the higher floors in a secured complex, in a more conservative area of Tanger, near marjane - Zero chance you can find that for £300
It sounds like you got done brother because in Morocco the owner of the property pays the estate agent not you. You could sort them out if they helped you out but it is in fact the property owner pays them if you’re renting or buying.
Apparently this is the normal process in Tanger at least, I have asked several others
Bro, move from Tangier, everything is expensive there
Its affordable
@@yahyaspath Check Rabat, Skhirat
@@yahyaspath Kenitra is also affordable
Bro you made a big mistake don’t ever give your passport to someone just give a copy unless it’s a public official authority just to check it in front of you and give it back don’t leave it with people especially as a westerner passport
YOU ARE RIGHT MY DEAR.
I mistold the story, I realised after that it was in my pocket - They just asked me if I had it
@@yahyaspath WE ARE ALL GLAD😄 ALIHAMUDULILLAH.
Salaam brother! I wonder what the locals think of the price you paid?
6500 for that build/condition with furnishing in a secured complex in Tanger with 3 beds is good. Subject to location could be a steal. More centrally, you'll definitely pay more and for that appartment spec you'd pay at least 8000MAD (£640).
Please remove the idea that one might be overpriced in Morocco, not everything for foreigners is priced higher than locals. Locals pay same, besides many countries around the world are much more expensive and charge higher.
Wa alaykum assalam! Most Moroccans would generally find 6500 expensive, but obviously I’m coming from the west where the average person has more wealth. However in this case, the price was actually the same whether I was foreign or not as it was advertised at this price & I know a native brother living in the area who confirmed it was about the right price
@@yahyaspathdid you ask a local who actually knows about the price of apartments? Be careful about paying prices that the typical Moroccan cannot pay-it creates a situation where only foreigners and wealthy Moroccans can afford it. I say the same exact thing to Moroccans, by the way.
@@CC-uq7cv Yes, I know a local brother who confirmed its roughly the right price for what I am getting
With regards to paying more than what the average Moroccan can afford, this is inevitable. Coming from the west, unless you are okay with taking a huge drop in standards of accommodation, you will always pay more than the average Moroccan. Would be great if we could all have nice accommodation but that’s the reality of this dunya. Capitalism and the market decides the prices (supply vs demand)
I with your decision of moving to Morocco over orher places;but , may i ask why you didn't consider Turkey?
I love istanbul, went there twice last year but in my experience of going to masjid 5 times a day for several weeks, the place lacks Islam - It has such a rich history and amazing mosques but they were nearly empty - This could be that I stayed in Istanbul where there are a higher number if liberals etc. but that was my experience - Also not many people speak english and theyre not that welcoming to foreigners
@@yahyaspath 100% correct i went there twice too , ppl don't even fast in Ramadan الا ما رحم ربي can't speak Arabic=> can't read the Quran etc...
And the cherry on the cake is many of them hate arabs / Pakistanis etc...
It just hurts what that place have become
لا حول و لا قوة إلا بالله.
We study french rather than english 🫠🥲
:(
@@yahyaspath Yep the baguette language i flipping hate it with every atom of my being 🤣 you know what's ironic i'd still be forced to using some bits of it 😂😂
Too much
Assalaamu'alaykum Brother Yahya Have Researched Or Checked Sharjah In U.A.E ? Because I Really Think It Maybe Better Than Morocco Because There Are Many Shayuk There & Alot Expats From The U.K There,
There Are Many Videos On You Tube Of Muslim Brother's Who Have Made Hijrah To Sharjah From The U.K.
UAE better than Morocco in terms of Hijra and being closer to your Islamic deen, definitely do not agree.
You lived in Morocco to make that assessment?
Main reason are too expensive (currently), harder to get long-term residence (I can get it in Morocco through my marriage) and too far in distance from UK (I want to travel home several times a year so it would be very expensive)
Nice question, thanks for asking it.@@crazedmonkey7703
And being realistic, based on what I have heard and seen, UAE is hardly the place to have a strong deenified Islamic environment, no offense to anyone but that´s the truth. The main purpose of Hijra is to have at least a proper Islamic ambiance and environment that sorround you.@@yahyaspath
you keep ignorantly saying Moroccan Arabic, it is called Derija.....stop Arabizing Morocco. You can freely go to the Gulf where they speak Arabic.
I actually say that because I have a speech impediment and struggle with certain sounds - Every Moroccan I’ve spoken to has no issue with it (it’s literally a dialect of Arabic and hence is literally Moroccan Arabic) - You can freely stop watching my videos if you are that sensitive
darija is arabic , its closer to fosha arabic then the arabic they speak in the gullf and we moroccans are also arabs if you like it or not
And what is "Deriiiiiiiijaaaa" made up from?? Berber/Amazigh?? It is Arabic! I just can't stand lame baseless arguments especially if it is mixed up with arrogance. Go play that game somewhere else. The French tried it before you, to divide Morocco, and it did not work and will never work. North Africans loved Islam and adopted Arabic, the language of their holy book, and actually served it academically. Finally, I am Moroccan/American, my parents are Berber/Amazigh, and yes, I said all that. Now, who is the ignorant?? Pathetic!
Darija is an Arabic dialect. So whats the problem? Sometimes I see these type of reactions and I dont understand. Ofcourse it is Arabic how is it otherwise possible for me as a Moroccan European who did not really learn fusha only speak Darija at home to be able to understand a lot of other Arabic dialects when other Arabs are speaking their dialect. I would not understand everything but I watch for example an Egyptian vlogger and understand a lot of what he is saying based on my Darija and really basic fusha. I also had an Iraqi teacher and I could understand most of what she saying and she could understand us when were speaking Darija. So please stop being so sensitive.
Bab is bab. Shams is shams. Zitoun is Zitoun. Tafa7 is tafa7. Kursi is kursi and so on. Ofcourse we have many words from amazigh or spanish or french but also other Arabic dialects like Egyptian and Iraqi are influenced by other languages. Are these not Arabic?
