The scenes by the sea in Morocco look amazing. It is understandable to feel homesick, but hopefully, when you start to meet new people in Morocco and make new friends you will integrate quite well. Anywhere you go, making hijra in this day and age will have some ups and downs as such challenges come with Hijra itself but the goal will be to overcome them inshallah, and find that peace and happiness. Morocco does have some liberal societies but most Moroccans are clinching to their deen, Islam, and practicing it. I am sure you must have experienced a special spiritual atmosphere during the recent eid al Adha celebrations in Morocco, which to be honest are hard to come by anywhere else, take it from me a person who has traveled and lived in Muslim and Non-Muslim countries. Moroccans are one of the few people who have Islam engrained in their society build and practicing to keep away from bidaah despite having some liberals there as well. Anyways, May Allah make your Hijra journey easy and blissful, Ameen.
Wish Morroco and Morrocans well but the French colonial regime has liberalized your society a lot. Compared to Egypt or Jordan Islam is not as ingrained in society as you seem to believe. The Gulf countries are even more islamic excepting Dubai. Of the three Maghreb countries though - Tunisia is the worst on that score.

I don’t know about that though, Tunisia is not like other Muslim countries. It’s very anti-Islam
I will advise you to make hijra to other countries. At this moment, i am not even exagerating, Tunisia is the worse place in MENA to make hijra because these past few yeae they have been too liberal, anti islam, feminism ideology and many more.
I'm Tunisian, I wouldn't say anti-islam since the old regimes are gone. But, you need to select the spots in which there are many practicing people. In the capital Tunis there are a few spots, nearby cities like طبربة are very practicing as far as I have seen.

As somebody who has moved abroad several times, currently in Dubai, I totally agree that you MUST travel and live in a country before moving. In fact I would say not just for 1 week but several weeks to a month. If you are able to. Don't live in the tourist areas, get an Airbnb in a typical locality. If you do make the move, you MUST attempt to learn the local language, this is the key to being accepted and feeling more settled. Finally, remove any ideas and idealisation of Muslim countries. Prepare yourself to expect that Muslim countries are flawed, have many non-religious and non-observant Muslims. These countries are great in many ways, but also heavily flawed. Try not to compare, as that will just upset you.

As I did Hijra alone to Agadir as a woman not knowing anyone. And I love Agadir. I first tried Turkey in 2022 but it didn’t work out. I don’t know the wisdom of why I had to go to Turkey first but I met amazing Muslims who have been long time travellers who have moved multiple times. Hijrah is like living on the edge of a sword; it’s exhilarating and can be challenging because you are really tested. It has a high reward so expect it to sometimes be difficult. But the benefits are also great. My suggestion to you is to be closer to where all the Muslim converts are and closer to the city centre.

That first year of any move is really hard especially the first 6 months.The human condition, we actually yearn for jannah so it’s hard to be 100% happy consistently anywhere in this dunya so never think that’s possible.I live in the U.K. and I am done living in the west and I’m going to make dua for hijrah.The Muslim world is vast and even within countries regions vary.I have a colleague that did hijrah to the Muslim regions of Thailand for example.
Every muslims country have sinners,don't give up ,I understand you as a Moroccan woman who lives in USA and I understand each word you said,just stay connected with good Muslims in Morocco and you will find yourself in your home Incha Allah.

I agree, you should assume the absolute best out of other Muslims, but if they're neglecting prayer by delaying it until the time for it ends, or listen to the adhan and don't go to prepare themselves to pray, then this is without a doubt a problem, and they're committing a major sin... Brother, may Allah swt preserve you, it is normal to feel this way. Don’t force yourself if you are home sick. Maybe live between two places for now, at least until married with family.

I share your criticism of Morocco 100%. On a personal level, I am hesitant. I would really like to return to Morocco in view of the increase in the scores of the extreme right in Europe plus the children of poorly brought up and rotten immigrants spoiled by the system.

In Shaā'Allah Morocco will stay a Muslim country in the future. It's true that in the center of big cities it's more liberal, but how big is this center compared to the whole country ?
You will find tourists, none-muslims moroccans and also none practicing people because at the end of the day, there's no compulsion in the religion.
I've seen many youths this Ramadan in the Masjid than ever but still a long way to go in terms of education and awareness.
Your story is fascinating. I always wondered what people think honestly about the immigrants in the west. What will they tell us in the hereafter if we didn't talk to them about Islam ?
Because whenever you try so, you will find yourself guilty and looked at in a bad way, and at the same time I think you need to let professionals in Dawah do the work because times changes and people now are more sceptic and they need a knowledgeable person to deal with their questions and feelings.
I think the best way is to be a good Muslim and show Islam in your acts and let God guide whomever He wants.
Enjoy your stay here, we are the ones who make the place a home. It's not easy, but it's not impossible.

You gotta go to small cities and villages to live with muslims that still observe the teachings of Islam. Big cities like Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech and agadir.. are westernalised because the government is secular and think that implementing western way of life is modernity and progress. I am Moroccan too and thinking to go live somewhere far from big cities.
It’s definitely more liberal if not most liberal. The city of Salé or Temara are right next to the capital but are more conservative. Salé has a lot of character. The people are more down to earth. Both cities are very lively and much cheaper than Rabat. You probably need to check them out in person as they have less of an online presence than Rabat and the other touristy cities. They’re both a tran/taxi ride away fron Rabat. May Allah guide you
Salé is not a safe city. Only the neighborhood of Bettana is ok because it’s mostly villas, but even there, robberies and attacks happen.
Sela is seriously dangerous!
Salé used to be dangerous but I assure you it is much different now. I moved from the UK to there. I was born and raised in Salé and I see it is much safer and police are everywhere all the time. Of course I mean Salé around the old city of Madina and neighbouring.
Welcome to morocco and specially to the north.if u need anything feel free to ask. U gonna find few bad people, but the majority want to do good in this life.
I suggest if u think to settle here to buy a farm, here are cheap. And will fit ur life style.
Salamu Alaykum, You've definitely made the right decision moving to Morocco. Just a month into Hijra is a very short time, and you've not even scratched the surface. You'll surely make local and foreign friends who will support you, give you lots of advices, and maybe teach you Darija (Moroccan dialect) which I highly advocate to learn not only because it will unlock for you lots of opportunities but as well it will help you spread your message and help your channel to grow. I suggest you to dive into the Moroccan culture and history. Morocco is a major muslim country in protecting the Ummah from and fighting against Christian invaders throughout the history as well as had a crucial role in spreading Islam in West Africa and Europe (Al-Andalus). Just an fyi, Morocco is very well known is the muslim world as the top country Quran reciting and memorization. Visit Quran Houses in cities and in villages and you will discover the soul of Morocco. Malaysia was not perfect but I think in terms of Islamic perspective, Malaysian Muslim is better than Moroccan Muslim.. Most of Malaysian also speak good English.. I think you should contacted Salleh family communicated with them about their experiences in Malaysia

As a Moroccan I totally understand it when when you said "will it be a muslim country in 10 years". this country is indeed a muslim country and most of the people are. but the Leaders of this country have been working on liberalizing this country for so long for their personal profit of course "getting loans, investment..." That is why you see such contradiction between what Islam teach us and what you see in our streets. I hope you will find your home soon my brother at the and end we are just passengers in this world. In my opinion small towns or coutry sides of morocco are good choice, but I don't know about your life style and your projects so I don't know if it will work for you.

Morocco is as any other place; where you can find good and bad peaple, good and bad places.
In general, Morocco is a very diverse country.. but keep in mind that big cities are more open and liberalized than small ones, especially Rabat and Casablanca..
So, from my experience; try small towns or cities or at least popular/traditional places in those big cities.

Brother, hijra is obligatory for Muslims living in the West. And it is haram to move to ghe lands of the kuffar,as you mentioned.
It takes time to get used to it, but it’s worth it knowing that your offsprings will be raised in a Islamic environment

3:03 I'm Moroccan. Born and raised in Rabat. I have never seen a g@* or tr@@@ person in Rabat. Most people don't accept that (except maybe some people from my generation (2000's+) unfortunately.
But yeah, tbh people have an "open" mindset (and I mean them being okay with certain things that aren't really halal), but at the same time, I have an observation that you can find a sister that doesn't wear the hijab, but she could actually have a strong religious background and strong eeman, but she's just following the trend or whatever in her choice of clothing.
I know that because when you speak to them you realize they have islamic views on things.
But yeah, I've honestly never seen a g or tr person in Rabat.
In casa though, I heard that exists at night in the dark. May Allah guide them. La hawla wa la quwwata illa biLlah.
It is impossible for a sister to not wear hijab but also have a strong imaan - We are taught that iman is not just an internal feeling, but it must also manifest externally - The evidence being that there is an authentic hadith where The Prophet saw said when committing sins, for example zina, the person has no iman during that time.

But let me explain the context we live in Morocco.
We have people that want to equalize the inheritance of men and women, to give women the possibility of marriage without the consent of their father, to make it hard for a man to practice polygammy (in a halal way ofc). (They want to pass on a new set of laws. If your wife's Moroccan, I'm sure she knows. )
We have people from my generation starting to think "hey, as long as the person isn't doing anything that harms me, I should accept them" (referring to liberally accepted acts such as being openly homo).
But what I've noticed is that some people, eventhough not apparently religious (aka when it comes to their clothes or their apparent lifestyle in general), when you talk to them, alhamduliLlah, you find that they disagree with the problematic non islamic ideologies mentioned above. You find that they pray. ...
However, there are some people, to whom when you talk , you find them having this "love everyone mindset no matter what, and women should have equal rights too, blablabla." (just like the west basically)
And I'm sure this exists in many muslim countries (westernisation effects).
So all I'm highlighting is that alhamduliLlah, you will find people with a good aqeedah regardless of their appearance.
And, yes I make it clear that hijab is a wajib. It should be worn. May Allah guide these women and young ladies.

I was in the same position like you when I came newly to Marokko. The main thing you have to find a community its really important. Marokko is a religious country up till you was only in the coast city's. They are famous for being not religious. South Marokko is more religious.

It is impossible for you to name a single country that is perfect, this duniya is not jannah say AlhamduliAllah for Morocco because there are horrible countries and many of them are in Europe

Salaam My Dear Brother , Alhamdulillah You have made the step to Hijrah , I Myself am a Born n Bred Londoner , Back in Jahilliyah ,in my time of ignorance in 88 /89 start of Rave scene here , done Haram ,But Alhamdulillah 16 Years ago I took Shahada to Marry My Maroc Wife in Maroc, We visit the FAM in Rabat as often as possible , Whenever there I walk that road every morning for Miles, Sea air & Sunshine recharges the batteries for sure , Akhi do not react to the Haters ,with success comes hate & envy from others jealousy , We are told after Allah it is Your Mama then your Mama then Your Mama ,Then Your Baba , Would be concerned , If You was not missing them , When You crossed the Road If You turn Right towards Sale ,The Medina is always hustle & Bustle Asr to Maghrib time & Hassan is nice to Chillax , If you went Left Nice Long walk down to Dar Naji Restaurant on the Corner , You will see opposite New Sea front apartments & Amall works in progress last time I was there in Ramadan , Good up & coming area for Business , I would move there in a second if in position to start life there , I can advise Nice Sized Masjid for Jummah in that area , May Allah guide You to Sakeena Akhi

Stay or go to the place of your origin, for example if your family came to england and you were born there and if your family came originally from Pakistan,then go to Pakistan. Same for other countries.Also form a group of expatriate Pakistanis, then go. It makes it easier if you are British Pakistani to have people like yourselves.

It's prohibited to move to non-mulim countries if you are afraid to loose your Deen, but if you go there and spread Islam is even better for you. If Sahabah stayed in Madinah the whole time, Islam wont reach out the rest of the world

I advise you not to change countries or places frequently. I believe that God is testing your religion, your belief, and your faith in God. Morocco is one of the best countries to live in and you will adapt quickly. All you have to do is associate with some good people, and they are many.
You say you are doing Hijrah yet you say you are going Home when referring to London. Shouldn’t your new place be home now?

I'm surprised that you moved to Morocco and expected not to see liberals? Morocco is not a particularly 'strict' country, especially the younger generations. However, it shouldn't affect how you're practicing. Some of the most practicing Muslims I know live in the most liberal countries - it only illustrates how strong their eman is.
