BMI is only looked at for the none required sleep apnea debacle. No where on the actual physical is BMI a portion of the physical. Vision, BP, Mobility, Hearing.
Yes I did the dot physicals for many years. If you breath deeply enough long enough you can dilate you blood vessels. I passed one with a pulse over 100. 😂It's really an antiquated test. I'd rather it was a military go no go test. Situps, push-ups, a motion test and a run test. If you really wanted fit people instead of just a big pharma customer. That would alleviate alot a stress. You can know if you can pass that type of test.
Sleep apnea is another one. They now require some to get sleep test and one maybe require to use a CPAP machine. The machines have a data storage that DOT want to see. Also I learned the hardway hat ice cold water raises blood pressure .
Sleep test is a recommendation not a requirement. Get a second opinion.

I read that some drivers were taking magnesium with aleve or advil to lower blood pressure since these medicines helps to relieve inflammation. What do you think about this?

I got to watch this my DOT coming up in a month. Quick question Adam DC. i walked for 45 minutes my BP stayed elevated all night it was lower before the walk whats that about?
Just low cardiovascular fitness. It would change over time if you kept up with it, but for now you just learned something about yourself- that doesn’t work for you so don’t exercise prior to the test.
@@AdamJStoryDC Thats a great point don't walk before the test I only started walking About 5 days ago because I keep hearing walking lowers it so I was confused on why mine did the opposite and elevated my BP even hour's later
@@AdamJStoryDCMaybe you can do a video on that topic why some people blood pressure doesn't lower immediately after a cardio workout. I'm sure it's a lot of people wondering why their BP stays elevated hours later when the narrative always has been after a cardio workout it's supposed to drop not stay elevated
