ORD stands for Operationally Ready Date, it’s when us men here finish our mandatory 2 year military service to the country and celebrate the heck out of it, we pronounce it as (oh-argh-dee (ORD) + loh) or usually scream it out loud like a cheer. Someone enjoyed their time serving the country too much 💀

Looking at that desktop makes me feel way too nostalgic.
I remember that desktop very well. It was from Windows XP, the operating system that I loved the most. The second most: Windows 7. The third most: Windows 10.

Unrelated but fun fact: Nintendo's NES emulators (or at least, a few of them) use iNES headers to handle things like mappers just like unofficial emulators do, if you were to extract an NES ROM from a VC application or something you can find the header in there.
I know what you're thinking after reading that and to head it off: Even ROMs that were never publicly released until Nintendo put them out there had iNES headers in them, so it seems Nintendo just adds them to the ROMs in their personal archives.

Yup, you needed to browse it in the command prompt or a different file manager app to see the actual files in there.

If you're going to be using standalone computers for all your videos now, I love it! I think the standalone computers give these videos a much more authentic feel.

the fonts folder trick was pretty genius
There's something called "clsid" that pretty cool at that time (or even now?)
This is made some folders has "special" treatment, like that "fonts" folder. Actually you can made any folder into "fonts" folder, there's lots of CLSID which can made normal folder, act like certain special folder, like being a "control panel" for example.
The easiest way to make such folder is, put the CLSID as extension for your desired folder, and the safest way is, write the CLSID down into desktop.ini file inside your desired folder, and apply system attribute on it via command prompt.
And i hope Dan can make video for this. This is cool at that time, i made my own "folder locker" batch script by using this feature.
But, this is just for fun, the actual file inside the folder still readable on unsupported environment, or if accessed using command prompt :D

Dumb idea, but wouldn't adding the on error resume next at least get it to delete all the exe and dll files that weren't in use, when it encountered one that was in use / permission denied?

On Error Resume Next was there to prevent it from crashing on any file it's not able to delete for whatever reason. Since you left it commented out after fixing the script, it wasn't able to work as intended.
