There are a few malwares for other scripting programming languages, like Python (Biennale.A) or PHP, but they're utterly uninteresting. Besides, most of the "interesting" old school malware was written in Assembly, C, VB6, VBScript, VBA.

It's possible to get 98 running in DOSBox-X, but you need to edit the configuration file in a certain way.
