Watched a programme on telly this morning (Airshow 100) filmed at the Jersey airshow 2003. The first plane on was a fly by from a B52H. I couldn't believe how much interest I took in the nose shape :). You certainly know your BUFFs!

What a stunning model this is going to be! It's well beyond my capabilities but it looks like an absolute treat to build, though I'm sure there'll be a slight degree of frustration fitting all the internals through the bomb bay. Perhaps you should practice by building a Tamiya kit through your letterbox!

    Found it!
I have spent days trying to find the beginning of your build of the 1:48th- scale Boeing B-52H Stratofortress USAF Strategic Bomber kit.
You mention (I lost track of exactly where) a 1:72nd-scale replica of the ejection seat for the B-52. I cannot be certain, but the True Details line of resin replacement sets from Squadron Models (Military Models Distributors, 1115 Crowley Drive Carrollton, Texas, 75006 USA), might have such an item. As affordable as they are (I years past had bought four for my AMT kit of the North American Rockwell B-1B Lancer USAF Strategic Bomber, paying round $6.00 USD for the lot), I recommend buying several sets of four; after all, you have at least two B-52 kits.

BTW, are those cloth seatbelts (round 10:30 on your video) “HGW” or “HTW”, please?
Will HpH make another release that includes parts for the Boeing B-52J Stratofortress USAF Strategic Bomber?

I like all the prep work HPH has done to the fiberglass for you on this kit. Which is why you need to order the flap kit at the same time as they cut out the wings for you. (And you REALLY want the flap kit!! I also got the ALCM set for my kit.) The thing i didn't like was the photoetch for the instrument panel. (And this is true for the B-36 kit too.) On the Concorde, XB-70 and Il-28 kits they had full color printed photoetch instrument panels and for some reason they went away from that. The other thing I don't like (and not a problem with the kit but a preference) is they did an H instead of a Vietnam era D model.

    Lovely, just stupendous.
Anyway, wanted to comment on 1 piece of Photo etch, actually 4... The parts you refer to as hatches, you'll notice there are 2 for the aft seats and 2 for the lower seats. these are not the actual hatches, but part of the ejection mechanism, known as :Hatch Lifters", When the sequence is begun to eject and the triggers pulled, the Hatch lifter will open about a third of the way and pull the rest of the hatch with it. I don't know why the front seats doesn't have these, I suppose they are launched off some other way.
The only reason I waffle on this, is that if you put the piece on, and notice it is smaller than the hatch outline you won't yell at HpH...

I know this is an old up load, but I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get my hands on a 1/48th scale B-52. Preferably in Australia and the B-52 [F] version. When I was about 4 or 5 years old, my dad and I built one (albeit he did most of the work) and it was such a great memory.
Fun fact; that's when both my parents realised not only was I colourblind, but it turns out I'm completely colourblind. I stayed up late one night trying to get this thing painted, I was hoping to surprise my dad for fathers day... I completely cocked it up and instead of yelling at me (we had been working on it for a couple of weeks at this point), he laughed so much he cried.
Now I have have my own son, I want to get this model so we can both work on it together. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
