The B-1 parts are most impressive. They just get better and better at making some of these parts. Now to build a great kit to go around all these parts. Great video Nige.
great review nigel..i built one around 2000 but at the time my painting wasnt the best(like not fading and weathering the colour so it was just too gray..but u learn and think i can do it some justice now) so after a few years binned the kit! ...just ordered a 1/48 one from kingkit tonight..they still have a few in stock...these resin exhausts look fab...im deffo gona look for some
I did a build of this back when Revell first released the kit - cockpit was wrong, engines were also as wrong as it was possible to get. Going to have to get this again and buy all the resin and PE for it now.
Nigel, thank you for giving us a good look of the new merchandise. The resin parts--I marvel as to how they compress the details so finely! I am keen to find the resin aftermarket "jet nozzles" for Revell Monogram's 1:48th-scale kit of the North American Rockwell B-1B Lancer USAF Strategic Bomber, the Barracuda Studios Intake Nozzles, and Eduard's photo-etched detail sets for the same kit. This would not be immediate, though.
Don't forget the Metallic Details Rotary Bombay kit, or the Bonefragments rotary set (superbly awesome!). Eduard's photo ecth sets do have a few items useful that other sets do not have so check it out.
Hi Nigel. Thanks for the walkthrough and the detailed video what product did you end up using for the air intakes? The metallic details resing part seem too large ?!
@@NigelsModellingBench yes, yes, I found it. 👌👌👌 I don't have your skills so I appreciate if I can follow your lead in this. Have you made any progress with the B-1B?
A full B-1 in resin? Eesh... In plastic, the old kit itself is running upwards of $100 typically. Resin... I'd hate to think of how much that would cost (and weigh.)
Have you had a look at bone-fragments.com - its the company that bone fragment videos is attached too (the other B52 1/48 scale video set). Now I’ve not brought any but wow they also look good!
I love the exhaust set, I have two 1:48 B-1's, that have been in storage for years, gonna have to build them Thanks for the review...

Nice new additions and parts to the collection in builds nigel, 👍Keith
Amazing how far they've come with resin. The money sure adds up in a hurry though lol.

Phillip Siviter go for it!!

Hi Ray, I have done a review of more B-1 aftermarket and have reviewed the Barracuda intakes.

@@raymadani270 sorry no, I bought another kit though...
I wonder if you can get a whole assembly kit in resin and how much

When is the B 52 nose ready?
Soon.. still perfecting the shape..
It will be a while for the B-2 because much of material is still classified.
Nice review mate. I’ll leave a detailed comment when on the PC but all I’ll say for now is don’t get the MD intakes. They are seriously wrong.
Thanks Jarrad. What wrong with them? What's the nose cone like?

yes mate.. enrolled in his update service and exchanging emails!! Jarrad seems to be a great guy.
Look a lot like the nozzles on the F-15 ...can hear those servos squeal
They are the same as F-15 nozzles!!
