    Just wanted to thank you for this video! I just got finished with my wife's 2015 which was nearly the same. One of the old ignition coil boots did come off and get stuck on one of the plugs that I had to dig out, but other than that, this video helped tremendously.

    Definitely a great tip to keep fasteners separated into groups; a trick I learned from my dad is to use muffin/cupcake pans for this. Keeps things from rolling around on top of the cabinet or accidentally getting knocked off and lost.

      If you have an old spinning disk style hard drive kicking around, open it up and grab the magnets out of it. You can epoxy them to the bottom of any tin or tray and it will now stick to any steel part. You can drop hardware in it and it doesn't roll around or fall out, and the whole tin stays where you put it. These are usually rare earth magnets too so they're pretty strong for their size. Add a couple magnets if you're trying to hold longer screws or bolts.

My wife is from Latin America and I went up to her and asked her what chingaderas means - she just gave me a scowl and told me not to say it in front of the kids! Funny thing - we got a new hamster and I told the family what if we named it Homie or Hektor, and they loved it!! lol Mark

    Such a nice job sir! Well done and very informative. I’m in South Korea and about to have a local mechanic do this on my 2012 Nissan Quest. I was wondering how many hours of labor they might charge me. Thanks for mentioning 3-4 hours to take manifold off. Believe it or not, labor is much cheaper in Korea BUT it’s not very cool to take a Japanese made vehicle to a Korean auto shop. Good thing I’ve established a good relationship with the mechanics:-). Bless you!

    Great work! But what spark plugs did you use to replace them? I'm having an issue after replacing my 2013 Quest my van isn't staying turned on, and it shuts down after all 6 spark plugs have been charged!
    I used Autolite iridium as I wasn't able to find OEM. I've also never had this happen before with any of my other cars, but then again I've mostly worked with American cars is it because Nissan uses another brand, or is there another issue? 🤔 PLEASE HELP THANK YOU!

    • @HomieHektor
      @HomieHektor  2 роки тому

      I wouldn’t use AutoLite on Nissan but that shouldn’t keep the car from staying on. Make sure everything is connected on the intake manifold, vacuum hoses, connectors etc…

Around 35 miles per hour i start hearing whining noise, it get louder and louder as I go faster until around 65 mph, it stays around the same noise level from 65 to 80. What would be the issue?

    Nissan plastic will break lol. Doing a taillight bulb replacement is fun on a Quest since you have to take the whole taillight housing off to get at the bulbs.
    Quickest way to turn a $2 light bulb into a $200 housing replacement when the brittle ass plastic snaps when you try to pop the housing out.
