Why didn't you purchase a dedicated chin mount for your particular helmet..?
Good question mate! at the time (4 years ago) there were no dedicated mounts that I could find. It's funny, I have noticed people selling the exact same design on eBay and Amazon now.

problem is i like riding through town with the chin bar up, so the camera is no use in that configuration. any ideas?
Sorry Mate, been out of action for a bit but planning to start my vlogs again soon. I had a mount on the right hand side of the helmet prior to this one.
How do you record audio on this, i'm guessing you don't. No wires coming off it at all.
Hey Mate, I have tried a few different things... since this video, I have changed a few cameras as well.
Now I have a seperate audio device tascam dr-05 with sena s20 Mic. works like a charm.

Why not simply mount it on the side so you can use the flip of the helmet and still keep using the camera. Otherwise I need to ride in a close helmet in summer, which is unsupportable
Great to see a video via a chin mount camera and most importantly with a chin mount - no screen on the bike. Nothing more annoying than having your view spoilt by a screen.
Totally agree... took me a while to figure this one out. I can not take all the credit for it though, I got this idea from another moto vlogger. Cheers!
It faces down so if you lean forward it will film your fuel tank and nothing more.
