    Spot on, had tis myself in the pass, as you say, just keep them clean and check once a year . Cheers Bob

    Hi a great video. It's so good to have all these problems and solutions shown. I had a similar problem with my 1971 Stag and had tried everything to solve it without success until i checked out the fuse box. I found the fault to be with the back of the fuse box around the terminals. They are held together with small copper rivets and they had become loose with age and were not making a good connection. My answer to the problem was to replace the fuse box with a Stagweber one which worked well. Thx again for the video most informative.

    Did you know that the ignition is not normally fed via any fuse? You be able to confirm that by referring to the wiring diagram in the ROM manual. I suspect someone has fitted electronic ignition that is fed from the fuse box, and in that case why not revert back to unfused for better reliability as the designer intended?
