This time we take a rusty old Ford dirt track race car powered by a crusty Chrysler 440 V-8 and bring them back to life!
I have no comments to add
Definitely enjoyed that one ( and the video afterwards )
Is it just me, or are engine rebuild videos extremely satisfying?
Nope...not just you.... very satisfying
Yup. There's a youtuber named KT3406E who does extensive diesel (and I mean BIG) engine teardowns / rebuilds. You should check him out.
MatthieuAmherst for sure I’ll check them out
No, it's not satisfying. It's fuckn awesome!
please come over to my channel to check out my wooden build video too, I build wooden tanks too
I squeezed one of these hemi's into a "55 Mercury when I was 19 years old. It took me most of the summer of 1965. The engine was so big, there was no room for the radiator fan. I adapted a fan blade onto a 6v generator that I wired as a motor, and mounted it behind the grill. Only had to run it while the car was sitting at a red light. The motor never overheated. What a monster engine! One of my proudest moments.
If there was an editor of the year award it would go to the editor of these videos! Incredible time lapse, quality, everything.
great video. Maybe next time you let us hear the beautiful engines before the video is over.
JNaasty maybe next time you’ll see there’s a link to it. Don’t know which came first, you or their link but yeh.
Please
Jace Henderson you old Italian SOB prick barber
@@jace_Henderson which one is it
Was just gonna say that...
The camera work and editing is amazing!
I totally agree
agree, they are absolutely high level.
That was possibly the most enjoyable part of 2020. Great restoration!
You guys did a miraculous job! It's so satisfying to see an engine go from a greasy nightmare to the gorgeous end product it becomes. Superior work guys!👏👍
Ironically, this is incredibly relaxing to watch
Мужики огромное вам спасибо. Пусть то что мы оставляем после себя своим будущим поколениям приносит восторг и радость
You made that look easy. And expensive.
I love ur build! Awesome!
Why the heck wouldn't you let us hear that sweet rumble. :-(
+Kammaol Stay tuned! It's coming!!
the engine wouldn't start
I was about to say it's a dodge product, it didn't actually work. Pretty cool time lapse though.
From 1955 to 1958 the chrysler hemi was the powerplant of the worlds most powerful car. The chrysler 300
SIR SWERVE ..
That was so beautiful, I wiped a single tear out of my eye with my raging hardon.
Whoever edited this needs a raise. Good job on the video boys
2.3k thumbs down because you didn’t fire it up! 😝
@fitty6pickemup better than Ford and as good as Chevrolet
Only good Dodge is the Cummins diesel.
Anon Ymous yeah... dumb comment lol
@@InfiniteSith136 you are joking ofcouse. Ford 427 sohc is no joke.
Amazing that people will criticize something if it isn't EXACTLY the way they expect it to be. There is a follow up video where they do fire it up.
Respect
loh kok nyasar?!
AMAZING!!! The birth of a monster rebuild!! I almost cried but didn't get to hear its first words!!!
На это можно смотреть бесконечно!
Прекрасное видео! Мастерская работа. 🤘😎👍
Выхлоп говно
Gotta love the old heavy metal. You guys are living the dream.
By far the most satisfying thing to watch
please come over to my channel to check out my wooden build video too
You didn't fire it up!? Let's hear it run!!
I'd love to hear it as well, It could sound amazing.
Jetta Driver it did check the new video
I just finished a 1954 DeSoto Hemi, think about it it's 70 years old and was in quite amazing shape, they were built better!
I love how eight beer cans pop up for a split second at 1:39.
actually 10, but yea. BEERTIME!
Amazing cinematography. Love the moving time-lapse shots. Would love to see the car where this beast ended up.
This video is cool. When I was a junior in high school, a senior built a frame, vw front end, a Ford rear end, put a 331 hemi in it, then put a vw bug body on it. He was sitting the back seat. It was so cool.
This is one of the most awesome made videos I have ever seen!
Well done men! Now install it in my Jeep.
Handy Capo reminds me of a 2JZ swap I seen in a wrangler once
That intake manifold is artistic but that's about it. I can't imagine good flow with the numerous sharp corners and dead spots. Neat video on a historic engine.
I don’t think this rebuild was about max power. It’s a damn cool engine
You guys ever thought of doing aircraft engines? More specifically a Pratt & Whitney R2800 18-cylinder radial engine. That monster is what got the P-47 Thunderbolt in the sky.
And the Navy F4U Corsair too!
and the hellcat..but the 2800 is 18 cyl...not 16.
kenns9 I guess it is
Yea 18. The double wasp with a paddle prop Cadillac of the sky.

Would love to have seen this done using 2 quads sitting on a cross-fire manifold. Poetry in motion!
this machine is disgusting ...lol ..lol
I am Algerian and I like your work. I hope to work in your country one day
Zakaria Hamidia
We need your enthusiasm and energy!
Immigrants built this country!
Immigrants, and the diversity they bring makes us all stronger!
You’re welcome anytime!
Love the film work, music selection and editing.
10 months to do this? I thought you guys did this in 5 minutes?
William Funes it took ten months to rebuild an engine wow procrastination at its best
@@jacobaguilar6756 my machinist is so busy it can take all summer to get parts back. Sourcing parts for a firepower hemi does not take a week either.all parts cleaned and coated.built headers and intake mani.not a week end job.
I can put a couple weeks work on heads alone...
Vince Vega Customs i know that man im an engine builder myself i have a business doing that and custom fabrication its definitely not a weekend project just a good joke
@@jacobaguilar6756 how long do you think this project took to complete?
Love watching rebuilds, hate not hearing them fire up!
I love when they add the pistons
As a video professional I must say- these are some of the finest timelapse videos ever made! Who is the mastermind behind these shots?
Thanks Alec! Our in-house video team with the help of some great motion time lapse gear from Kessler Crane is responsible for these videos. Glad you like them!
The best tinelaps I seen so far. No blah blah blah and straight content. Big thumbs up!
Хорошая работа, и снято красиво!
i was about to ask about time but just read that it took like 10 months OMG
Good luck
Fantastic!! Tim Allen grunt and all!! If that doesn’t scream freedom then nothing will. America, just got a love it!!
Why aren't you letting us hear it's beautiful noise :(
They have another video on running the engine :)
to double the views and make more money from youtube.
This video's UA-cam ad revenue paid for the engine.
@@missingremote4388 videos under a certain time aren't monetized.
@@ChristopherBell thank you. They really shot some spectacular video's at hagety. Just because - I guess
This is how fast I put my engine together.
OgGarcioVega have u ever tried rebuilding one
I just paid my car off literally last month, and I just found today I possibly need an engine rebuild. I have a 2010 Chevy Equinox 2.4 engine LT, and my car has been burning oil. It usually stalls on the regular, but for the last week it has been stalling like crazy. I'm getting my catalytic converter changed right now. I will get an oil change soon after I pick up my baby. Hopefully the stalling will stop until I can save up the money for a rebuilt engine or just another car all together. Well, enough about me, great video guys. I really enjoyed it. Honestly this is a talent.
Yup, made to fail !
Божественно!!! Руки из плеч 101%
*this is by far the most beautiful thing i've ever seen*
Still my favorite Rebuild yet, such a good looking engine to begin with. Plus that new intake is a work of art.
I’m not a hemi guy but that’s beautiful fellas
wanted to hear it run!
being an old time truck mechanic, i think this is one of the better looking engines i have seen
I always find engine re-building so satisfying to watch
Awe WTF! Got to the end wanting hear that thing roar... what a let down.
ua-cam.com/video/Wnb0UUbSB1w/v-deo.html
Rebuilding over 40 years and have also put bearings and cam in before laying crank. See so many videos where the do it opposite and never understand why. Great video and amazing intake and exhaust systems!!!!!
Man!who are you people... Not even a professional filmmakers can't do such timelapses and OEMs can't do such restoration. Are you people trained in hell and working in heaven?! Awesome work. Let me be your apprentice. Thank you. Very addictive footage. I will subscribe and watch all your videos. God be with you also.
dolly camera
They take their time to do their stuff. Thats it.
That intake is crazy looking, i love it
It should be no great secret why Keith Black, Milodon, and others picked this engine for the base design for some of the most powerful internal combustion engines on the planet. It was a great design to start with, and easily modified to make it even stronger and faster, and eventually be cast in aluminum from top to bottom to become the 10,000 horsepower fire-breathing monsters that we know as top-fuel dragsters!!😁👍👍⚡️🔥
It was pretty good for the time and they kinda just went with it but the hemi isn't the ideal configuration.
I didn't know I had the ability to not blink for 5 minutes and 14 seconds.
Nice job on the pipe fabrication. Slick as hell👍
I'm so jealous. Wish I could tear an engine down and rebuild it like you guys. You guys rock.
Hard work and dedication + a ton of knowledge amazing!!!!
absolutely fantastic, i enjoy watching these videos so much. Do you only rebuild classic american V8's? maybe you should have a go at a nice Triumph 2.5 straight 6 or even a Jaguar twin-cam 6. Awesome work
+Josh Briggs Stay tuned in 2017! We've got a few more surprises. :)
If a build is done right, there's no time wasted. Anyone that knows how this is done, they can do it their sleep. And they probably do. I've been a mechanic for 40 years and yes, I'm fixing cars in my sleep. I wish I can wake up sometimes and it actually happened but no. Just dreamt it. It's time to go to work. It's still fun. Great videos.
Engine block goes to workshop in Winter... and return in Summer.. :D
That shop is in northern MI, very well could be the next week
10 months to complete as stated in the description
You guys are so lucky I would love to do this for a living!!!! Amazing videos man!
As soon as I saw the pot of coffee brewing before any of the work began..I knew there were experienced workers at hand!
God damnit I wanted to hear it run
This engine is a legend
I slowed the video down to 0.25x because I wanted to see exactly what they did. I regret nothing, that was awesome!
I love these videos.
What kind of power did this motor make after rebuild?
96hp
Rebuild videos by far the most popular, millions of views
Very sweet.
Third such instalment, and you've only spoilt our appetite, for we want more. MORE!!! More engine re-build time-lapses. Actually how about throwing in a transmission rebuild time-lapse?
Stay tuned. 2017 is going to be a fun year.
All these vids are utterly fantastic...
But the HEMI ???
OVER THE TOP !!!!!!
That was wicked cool, just wanted to hear it man. Good work though.
those heads are HUGE. geez...
Gianni Ludovico You should see one in person, it's ludicrous
The bass playing alone was good.
👍
nicely done guys
I kind of want a video with narration to explain what they’re doing, what they kept, what they had to replace, etc.
They have those videos actually. It's in the same playlist as the rebuilds
how nice it is, that with the use of modern technology, an old school engine, gets improved. the whole parts weighting and uniforming was great
This needs to be done to my 5.7!
You guy's make some bad ass videos
Well done, never started working without coffee. Great job.
Would love to see that go into a '51 Plymouth 2 door sedan with a 5 speed.
Приятно смотреть на работу профи
I was around when these engines were produced and still love the way they look and sound. my dads neighbor was an avid engine builder of that time. He told me that they would take a stock 392 hemi motor and add a roots blower to it without any modification and go racing. his claim was that one was the only one they could do that to.
😢 Didn't even get to see it breathe, I'm a little disappointed.
CafeNightster same
Yeah, I was hoping to see a dyno run at the end.....cool video though, thanks!
Soon my friend. Soon.
i really really wanted to hear that hemi thumping like a bass player
All the joy of a rebuild with none of the busted knuckles!!
What is this intake style called? Looks like it doesn't flow very well but I'm sure there is a logic behind it.
Benedocta the logic is cool looks
I would say it's a tri-power or 6 pack, mini-ram. Have you ever seen the Mopar cross ram intakes?
Was thinking that myself... "what in the hell do they call that intake?" Yeah it might look cool, but I'll bet my last dollar it doesn't flow worth crap. All that hard work, balancing, painting, etc, only to top it off with a worthless intake.
That didnt happen untill the RB engine. the 413 in 1961
Intake looks cool but WAY too many sharp angles in there, no doubt poor flow. Given the exhaust, this is a boat motor now?
they love their job ! Masterpeace!
I wish my mechanic has his talent and skills. Awesome videos. Never get tired of watching them.
Just subbed. Your videos are really high quality and well made. Well done.
this engine is like dinosaurus ... needs so much food (fuel) to live ... it's going extinct .. lol..lol..
@@pooorman-diy1104 also you can strap a management system to it and boom. Wont need much gas at all to live
This makes me realize what am I doing in my life ?
Jungs, ihr seid einfach nur genial. Wahre Meister des Fachs. Ich könnte stundenlang zusehen.
Сьемка супер, ни каких лишних кадров
Where was the engine found? At the bottom of the ocean?! Sweet restore! But i kinda liked the raw and rugged look it had before ^_^
It was in a Chrysler New Yorker found rotting in the Northern Michigan woods.
***** very nice, still adds to my theme that it was rescued from a boat ⚓️😁
Hagerty I just hate what northern climes do to engines.
Integra DIY .... those "boat anchors " put many a bow tie & blue oval on the trailer. They also DOMINATED drag racing into the mid/late 60s. Show some respect 😡
This channel has the best music videos ever. MTV and VH1 ain't got nothing on these videos.
Sou fã do trabalho de vocês! Meus parabéns! Abraços do Brasil!
I once rebuild one of those for my 1956 DeSoto Firedome
I downloaded this for my kids to watch. And couldn't keep my eyes away.
