For those who are confused about the Vert and Block part: We already know that Vert boost blocks ( as it was mentioned on the definition) so the goal of that part of test is to compare the impact of Vert and Block Rating in terms of blocks. To produce a really noticeable difference, I have to test for 99vert-25Block versus 25vert-99Block. It's like we are testing what each one can do with the other one at minimum. If we test for 99vert-99Block vs 99 Block-25 vert, then we're just testing how much is the boost of vert. Telling you "vert gives you x% boost to blocks" won't mean much. It needs to be in reference into something to have more meaning. Now with the stat I gave you, now you know that Block rating have more than 3x more impact than vert in terms of blocks, which is enough info for you to decide on how to treat this attribute. It was proven that the boost (Vert on blocks) is so small so even I spend another 10 hours to look for the sweetspot on vert relating to blocks, that sweetspot won't mean much.

There is a massive difference between going for 88 and 84 block and the vert that the 2 require. Of which vert cannot be corrected later with cap breakers. Nobody is investing in block currently because it’s useless without interior and expensive with it when we already need both rebounds and maybe vert?

But Vert gives you better animations to get those blocks, basically putting your player in a more advantageous position to hit the ball. It’s kinda like jump shot animations, if you have a 25 3 ball and the best jump shot in the game you’ll still hit less than a 99 jump shot and the worst jump shot in the game. But jump shot videos that you do are so popular because we all know that a 99 jump shot is only optimized by the best jumper in the game which allows for a lower contest and more shots to go in. Here is the same as a high vert puts the player in a better animation to get the block, but by how much.. just like how much does the best jump shot lower your contest rating.

Love Tutes for a while, but I’m gonna answer this for everyone who didn’t get the information we all thought would be in this one. In 2K25 vertical has thresholds that the height you jump on your block attempt increases. These animations top out at 84 Vertical. Anything above 84 is solely for pogo, which also helps with block attempts because your initial jump speed is faster. Assuming everyone has around an 84-88 block, 70 Vertical won’t get you those animations that you see centers have when they grab the layup out of its aerial arch AS OFTEN as an 84 Vertical, but it can still happen. And while playing with my build, an 88 and 93 block don’t have as noticeable of a difference as you would think. As far as rebounding, vertical matters this year, but weight, attribute, & height of your player is a higher contributing factor. I have a 6’10 257lb center with 88 Vertical, and go against lighter weight taller centers who jump much higher than me MORE OFTEN with same rebound at 94 but lower vertical than me. I still average 25+ rebounds a game due to my strength and positioning knowledge, but I do think that lighter weight centers get better rebound animations this year. Not necessarily about the stat. As someone who has only played center for the past 5 2Ks, I hope this helps you guys. This is the best I can do without a video.

Heck even the guards/SF grab it with me jumping next to them. Yes you've proven that you still need a high stat in block/rebound to see actual results but does vert help boost it significantly enough at high levels to warrant investing the attribute points? No difference at least between 80 and 95 vert I tried this year and last year with a 80 rebound build at the same height, jumps are the same However this year, if you gather speed to rebound, you'll jump higher than standing in a spot and jumping
I have a theory that Vertical enhances the Pogo Stick badge much like Strength does for Post Powerhouse and other badges. You should test to see if a higher Vertical will let you recover faster from jumps on blocks, rebounds, etc.
Yes I have 77 vert on my 7’2 (I kno REDICULOUS!!) with the horse takeover as soon as I get plus 3 into that 80 threshold I’m jumping over people even if they box out.
Don't rely on your timing, rely on your visual cue. There IS a pure green window in here but your timing starts to change up after your first 3 shots so you can't rely on knowing your timing like in recent 2ks. You have to follow your visual cue because that will never change, no matter if timing does.
What we need to know is how much of a boost vert gives you VS non vert. Nobody cares about low block or low rebound with high vert, everyone is going to go high rebound obviously, BUT i want to know do I need max vert will it really make a difference or can i go the minimum allowed and be ok? You should test a 7 ft center or 6'9 with 99 rebound and 70 vert vs 99 rebound and 99 vert and see how much of a boost it gives, if its barely any boost we can go minimum, if you notice large changes we can go max vert our build allows.

I’d love to see a comparison of the effectiveness of each driving contact dunk package, to see if there is a sweet spot on the packages. I think 2k labs did one last year which was really helpful and indicated slashers should aim for the elite contacts off 2 package as there was a significant increase in contact dunk make % compared to the pro contact packages.
Why is everyone confused about the testing? We know Block and Rebound are the more important stat from this, so up that as high as you can and then up vert secondary. Who cares if its a 1% increase between 75 and 85 vert, we now know that doesn't matter if you are punting rebound and block to get that vert.

I wonder if having a higher vert helps you dunk more consistently. Like if you have a 75 dunk with minimum vert vs a 75 dunk with max vert. Same animations and build or as close to the same build as possible. Play like 100 games on each build and see if there’s a noticeable difference in finishing contested dunks. I wonder how the tier +1 max badge plays a factor into this. When you think about it let’s say I have 67 (or whatever the lowest bronze badge requirement for blocks) is boosted to silver does it gives a higher chance of blocking or stays in the same lane as if I have a low block rating?
What if you tested something like 74 block, 75 vert vs 74 block,60 vert? I think thats more along the line of what people are asking. I think using a high block/rebound and adjusting the vert while keeping the block/rebound stat the same would produce the information some people in the comments are asking for. For example im making a lockdown with 74 block (bronze badges) but i want to know if having my vert at 65 for bronze posterizer is going to make my block useless. And in retrospect i should have invested more points into vert. This example in theory could work to show how not how valuable vert is COMPARED to block, but instead how valuable having HIGHER vert is compared to having low vert, and how that effects our block/rebounding efficiency. We know 2k says it boosts blocks and rebounds but by how much is what we are looking for. Either way, its your video, in theory i could test this myself and figure it out. Does weight affect rebound animations Even with a high vert? Because I feel like my build with hof rebound chaser that’s 270 doesn’t jump as high as my build that’s 250 with gold. They both have 88 vert
Weight affects vertical for sure I have one 265 Pound PF with 95 vert and he jumps like he has 80 vertical my PF that’s 235 with 93 vertical jumps out the gym.

With how small the boost is, even though there’s a big spike somewhere it will still be small boost. To test for sweetspot on such a super small boost, it requires probably around 3x the testing time. Actually it will be more than that because the margin of error for testing stat that involves 2 players is bigger than normal.

It was clearly stated that vert is 3x less than block. That should be enough info for you to know that only invest on vert (past your sig requirements) if you want to double down on blocks.

Does vertical help with putbacks?
So it really don't help blocking, mostly rebound animations
I wonder how the tier +1 max badge plays a factor into this.
When you think about it let’s say I have 67 (or whatever the lowest bronze badge requirement for blocks) is boosted to silver does it gives a higher chance of blocking or stays in the same lane as if I have a low block rating?
These tests are done so poorly. You should compare same block rating with different vert and same rebound rating with different vert.
Can you do Posterizers with and without strength to see how often youll fail meter dunks with high driving dunk and high strength vs low strength
What if you tested something like 74 block, 75 vert vs 74 block,60 vert? I think thats more along the line of what people are asking. I think using a high block/rebound and adjusting the vert while keeping the block/rebound stat the same would produce the information some people in the comments are asking for.
For example im making a lockdown with 74 block (bronze badges) but i want to know if having my vert at 65 for bronze posterizer is going to make my block useless. And in retrospect i should have invested more points into vert.
This example in theory could work to show how not how valuable vert is COMPARED to block, but instead how valuable having HIGHER vert is compared to having low vert, and how that effects our block/rebounding efficiency.
We know 2k says it boosts blocks and rebounds but by how much is what we are looking for.
Either way, its your video, in theory i could test this myself and figure it out. But id rather watch a 2k tutes video. Still tuning in for the tests, appreciate all the work you do.

Yes it does, I have one 265 Pound PF with 95 vert and he jumps like he has 80 vertical my PF that’s 235 with 93 vertical jumps out the gym.

What we’re asking for is
99 block with different verticals to see if boost is linear or has a saturation point. Same with rebounds. If possible. Thanks for vids regardless
With how small the boost is, even though there’s a big spike somewhere it will still be small boost. To test for sweetspot on such a super small boost, it requires probably around 3x the testing time. Actually it will be more than that because the margin of error for testing stat that involves 2 players is bigger than normal.
@@nba2ktutes so the boost is small and so insignificant, that it’s barely noticeable with virtually no impact. Which in turn defeats the purpose of testing, especially due to what it’d require to test due to how how small the boost. Am I understanding that right?
@@KillxShot_330 yes you are correct. It’s not worth testing because whatever result i get, it will still be insignificant. If it takes 10 mins, i will do it but that specific test will take a lot of hours to have an accurate result.

The reason this test was useless because we are trying to see how much vert helps block and rebound not if it can replace you didn’t show the use of both just one or the other
It was clearly stated that vert is 3x less than block. That should be enough info for you to know that only invest on vert (past your sig requirements) if you want to double down on blocks.

@@RolzareTTV animation wise as in in game animations. Not like equippable animations. Your player jumps higher for rebounds, jumps higher for blocks. Certain attribute thresholds will make your players do better animations. Another example would be strength, you get bully ball animations 75 strength n higher most ppl do 73 strength just for badges. I have a 70 defensive rebound on my build but I snag over a lot of centers in rec.
