amazing video ive been looking for this info thank you
you bet, thanks for watching!
Great info! Thanks for posting.
Thank you for watching William! Glad you got something out of it!
Great vid! I use amped outdoors 30Ah to run livescope & so far it's been awesome
nice job, thanks
Good review!! I have the Amped 18ah. I love it. Had it on the ice all last season with my Helix 7 here in Maine! Coldest was -24F. Average was -5F to -20F. This battery kept going and going. No problems at all!
Oh man, I Iove that battery. Great sub zero performance! That video will be coming before ice season
Great review, very detailed and clears up a lot of things that people wonder about. Thanks for all the hard work up put in #IceHolePower
Thank you Chris!
Great information man
Thanks Rush, just subscribed. Will be binge watching. Great looking channel!
I bought the Nocqua for this year. Found it to be VERY INCONSISTENT in it's use time! Wish I had found this video a year ago!! Ordered the Amped 12 as a replacement. Your knowledge and your willingness to share is greatly appreciated!
Happy we are able to help you make an informed decision!
Awesome info!
Glad you liked it!
Hey Jeremy. Awesome vid !! This truly takes the guessing game out of it. I can’t say anything but I love my Dakota Lithium 10Ah batteries. I have them in my Aqua Vu, in my Helix 7 and they run all day 14 hrs + easy when out all day ice fishing.
It's a great battery! Thanks for watching!
Nice jeremy....keep up the good work.
Thanks man!
Great video!!!
Glad you liked it!
Very good review
Thanks James!
Great video. Subbed.
Thanks for the sub!
I really appreciate the video. I don't really know much about Li batteries or who makes the best one, but with this video. I'm leaning towards Amped!
Thank you for watching! That's all that I use to build powerboxes with!
Running a Dakota 12v 10Ah. Great so far.
Great video! Amped outdoors batteries are legit! I run the 12ah on my marcum flasher and the 30ah on my garmin livescope ice bundle. I haven't come close to running out of power yet! I highly recommend Amped outdoors to anyone shopping around.
We agree! Thanks for watching!
I am a 100% user of Datoka. Best warranty in the industry
Great video. Now i got some decisions to make. Where can i get the custo. box for the Dakota? Thanks
Nice review. I use amp outdoors 12ah. I have a Dakota for backup.
Power for days, thanks for watching Neal!
when you say 2000 Charge & Discharge you should add "too 80%".
Answers a lot about my Nocqua. After charging I am at about 12.62v and on a Helix 7 0.85Ah draw (I run backlight at 6) I get around 10hrs. However, my unit image degrades because this battery drops in voltage quickly. I think I'd have better results with the 12Ah Amped, I like that starting voltage of 13v. Thanks a lot for this review.
Glad it helped out and answered some questions for you! You will love that Amped 12ah!
I'd love to see teardown comparison test videos of Amped 12V 30AH Tall vs Ecoworthy 12V 30AH, and various 30 to 32 AH competitors of same physical dimensions.
Can you do a test or comparison including the ionic lithium battery’s
Using a Amped Outdoors 6ah with my Helix 5 DI. I get a full day of fishing out of it, with juice to spare. Also have the Amped Outdoors 12ah and using that to power 3 gopros and vape mod
Can't go wrong there, thanks for watching Mike!
Has anyone ran the amped 32 14.8V battery I was thinking of this batter for my Garmin ECHOMAP 75SV fish finder on my small 14 foot guide tracker boat. Only running a fish finder. 15hp tiller
Can you please review the ROCKSOLAR lithium 10ah or 18AH battery from Amazon? Also why do they mark the battery as “High amp draw” battery at 18ah and not 10ah? Thanks!
I took the battery from my old cable backup system works great not to mention it was free
A free battery is always the best battery!
isnt the Norsk lithium ion as well?? says so on the side of the battery case..
Can u do 12v and 100 ah. Dakota vs amped.. and others. Great video. Thank you
Thanks, I do plan on doing some other battery videos
Would a amped 18Ah fit in the power box you designed?
I know you can't really determine state of charge with voltage, but what would be ideal time to recharge to get maximum cycles out of one of these lifepo4's? It seems like 12.9-12.8v under light load should keep it above 80% discharge.
I would just charge it up after every time out to get the most out of it. They are typically rated for 2000 cycles at 100%DOD but if you are only discharging 30% then you can stretch that out to 8000 cycles.
Just hoping it gives me more power for the day
Amped Outdoors 12aH
Amped 48ah
Great video my man !! I live in Canada here and there is a company called Canbat Batteries, would you be able to get and test on for Thor lithium battery in comparison to these in quality ? You can reach out to me if you need more info !!
Question when charging batteries in series can it be charge together or should it be Separate
If you are in series, I would charge each individual battery. If in parallel you can charge both at the same time without issues.
Great video! I do have some questions though:
1. What type of battery is the Nocqua? You just said lithium, how do you know it will only have 400 charge cycles?
2. You have it listed at $129.99 for 10 ah. This is for the entire pro power kit. (Wiring and charger). The actual battery is $99.99 for 10 ah per their website.
3. Why did you only run the test on the Nocqua one time with the same battery? For the Dakota 7 ah, you ran three tests with three different batteries?
Great questions!
1. It's basically the same type of battery as the Norsk. The biggest tell was the voltage. At the time of the video the lower voltage really threw me off and for some reason it did not click with me that it had a nominal voltage of 11.1v like the Norsk. I will have to make a video were I open it up and get the information off the cells but I think it is a NMC battery. Unfortunately the spec sheet page on their web site does not load up. weird
2. At the time of the video, the $129.99 price tag was all that was on Amazon. I should of factored in charger cost on the white board for all batteries but adding the charger would of still been a additional 30 bucks where the the LifeP04 batteries like Dakota the chargers run around 20. So we are still looking at Nocqua being 10 bucks more.
3. I had three 7Ah Dakota batteries, I mention that when I am testing all three. All 3 miss the mark by around .3Ah. The Nocqua miss it by substantially more with only 8.61Ah. I only bought one Nocqua and I don't think testing the same battery 3 times would of resulted in different numbers.
Thanks for watching! This was my 4th or 5th video and I still have a lot to learn about making them, I plan on making a new one for this season and I will definitely factor in charger cost.
Have the Dakota lithium on my Helios 5 and can run a couple days with no problem… my question is… Is it necessary to run them til dead or is it ok to recharge after a day on the ice with some charge left.. does either way effect battery life?
Great question. Either way is fine. I charge mine after every outing just so I know I can get the most run time every out of every trip.
I would have liked to see an overview and/or a ranking at the end of the video. For those of us skipping to the end to see the results, What was the top ranked?
Me too! Like a results chart with the tallied numbers.
Amped
Do you have a link to the capacity meter you use? Could be nice to have when checking the health of my various batteries.
you bet, here you go. Thank you for watching. amzn.to/2JhCzmG
I guess I’m gonna pick the amped out 12v 12ah over the Dakota Lithium 12v 10ah then 😅🤞🏼🔥🔥🤔 ....... like and subbed ...💪🏼💪🏼
Use code Thankyou2020

@@iceholepower8012 is this the same size as a regular Vexilar battery? I plan on using for my FL-18.
@@4589scott yes. It is the same size. Just drop it in and hook it up.
Can you do a video on the chargers? which ones are compatible and which ones aren't? which ones are fastest, ect ect
I made a video a while back about chargers. ua-cam.com/video/A6tUS3z1fJo/v-deo.html
If you own a Milwaukee or Dewalt cordless drill or other cordless tools that have some of those 12 to 20 volt rechargable batteries, you're in luck and will save some money. I run my Hummingbird depth finder off of one of my Milwaukee cordless drill batteries which is 18+ volts. Mine are 6AH batteries, so it should easily run my depth finder all day (haven't used it yet) The depth finders can run off of anywhere between 10-20 VDC so It's within specs. As long as I have several batteries and a charger already, why not?!
i wish i would have seen this before i purchased a 23ah dakota, i do like that i can charge it in 2.5 hours. thanks! this is a really great video.
I think the 23ah is still a solid battery. I have one on the way to play with
I’m upgrading from nocqua, I’m sure I’ll like it. I just need to make it waterproof in a pelican I have and I’ll be good to go!
Have you ever did a test comparison between the Dakota lithium 100 amp hour versus the amped outdoors 100 amp hour
no but if you send them to me, I will ;)
@@iceholepower8012 lol ok
@@Adventures101. I do have a Amped 80Ah that I will be testing soon.
So if I go fishing 40 times a year. The recharge cycles really don't matter because the Li and the Lead battery will be at their end of life at the same time?
Trying to findout about ION aguer batteries compared to strike master 40v vs 24V on the life of these
LiFeP04 will last longer, 2000 charge cycles vs 500 with the ION lithium batteries
Get a drill bit style auger! Less expensive and you have a nice drill to use in the summer. With a Milwaukee drill you cant go wrong.
@@joef.2908 yeah think of going that way when my current battery dies on me, as I was looking into the light flight also.
could I run three of the Dakota lithiums for 36 volts?
Yes you can
How long does the Amped 18 AH take to charge?
We use 3 amp chargers so a 18Ah battery divided by a 3 Amp charger = 6 hours
18Ah/3A=6h
Have you tested the capacity of the new Dakota lithium 12 volt 18 ah yet?
No but I wouldn't think it would be an issue.
Just waiting to get the Dakota lithium 12v 10ah I bought 2 from Amazon it’s a Ebike power build project with an inverter setup let me know if you have email or instagram would like some advice
Those Dakota guys also run a Ebike shop in Seattle. They would be way more knowledge about the subject than I would be. Look up their website and shoot their customer service a message.
@@iceholepower8012 will do
nermak 12v 10ah test it
I have one, should be making a video on it soon
23 ah dakota lithium just because overkill lol
Dakota Lithium has an 11 year warranty!
Yes, I read it when the 7Ah came up short. But the $20 shipping charge to get it to Seattle and the return shipping after warranty work (says in the warranty that they are not responsible for return shipping) would put me at $40. 40 bucks to get the advertised capacity rating on a $70 battery really isn't worth it to me.
Get an Ionic lithium with Bluetooth BMS and know exactly what’s happening in real-time.
That is a super slick feature for sure! I just bought one to test it out and review. Thanks for the heads up Steve and thanks for watching!
@@iceholepower8012 Have you done any videos reviewing the Ionic batteries? I was unable to find any. Thank you!
0:10 HIS EYEBALLS ARE SUPER HUGE. HE SHOULD GET SOME EYE DROPS. SHOULD HELP OUT.
lol
It’s just the acid
