Took my kayak down to the Ozarks last October for a week figuring the boat traffic wouldn’t be too bad in the off season. It wasn’t…. until one of those wake boats kept cruising back and forth. Man, talk about a racket they create with all the docked boats along the shoreline!! Not to mention they prematurely erode the banks up in the small coves. Luckily my kayak could handle the 2-3ft rollers. It was an experience, for sure. Just came across your channel and subbed. Good determination staying after them cats! Rock on!
I would love if they outlawed them, for one, they're too dangerous for small vessels, and because they tear up everything. docks, boats on docks, the shoreline, they dislodge trees resting on banks, sending them downstream. There should be more laws protecting smaller vessels. The section I usually fish is about 100 yards wide. I've seen Wake boats 3 wide pulling wake boarders up that 100-yard-wide tailrace, they honestly shouldn't let people do that past the bridge. It's just ridiculous plus, there's a boat ramp there which really makes taking out and putting in a challenge when wake boats are up there.

Brother....here in Ky, I've been told they are in deeper water, something I can't get to yet..lol.. but I have a few good bank spots, that i got turned on to, and apparently in one spot render some good sized gar, because I went yesterday morning, hoping for a cat, but instead, I hooked into something, that when I pulled, it pulled back, and dang near pulled me in...lol...then nothing, line cut , so I'm going this week to grab some steel liters, and see what me and my boys can land this coming weekend. Cats should feed in shallows too. Especially at night. I don't get in much deep water til summer when it's less windy. Weekdays preferably

Yeah, I've come close to being hit out there. They really have no business up there.
