Your style of fishing is very different from how we do it up north in Wisconsin. That's what makes it so friggin exciting to watch. Thanks for sticking around and showing us how it gets done on the Roanoke! I grew up in SC Pennsylvania, so not too far from where you're at. I didn't get into cattin until I came to the Midwest. We have big flatties and lots of channels. Biggest flattie is 55# and biggest channel is 18#. I would die to catch a big ole blue to get the trifecta. Love the new boat! Get it done, son!!
I need to figure out flatheads that's coming soon because we have some big flatheads here too. Guy pulled out a 70+ from a small river not far from me. It's the NC state record. So I know we get some monsters. And Lake Gaston has some state record blues also, 120+ and Kerr Lake has the world record near 150. So big blues here are no issue haha. But flatheads fight so good so I'm gonna work on figuring out how to target them solely. Glad you like the boat and the content bud. Always glad to have you

Gotta try shiners or bait fish the lake I got to is just hit and miss
I've used shiners where I fish, and they have produced some cats. Mussels, vegetation, and White perch are the main food source there, Gizzard shad works also. I get the bigger fish on white perch and shad more often than bluegill. But in summertime bluegill tends to get more bites than shad. Everyday could be different.
@@JonBoatRiverCats I've caught some channels on nightcrawlers, hot dogs, but hit and miss think I may use bait fish since so much I'm this lake

I fished bluegill all night the other night never had a bite 3 rods out and 12 jug lines all baited with blue gill nothing Lake Cumberland in Kentucky 😢
