Your video gives me some hope. I tested the valve resistance to be OK. 1A Fuse is blown but water valve transistor not shorted. Would happen to know what else the 1A fuse supplies?
@@paulywooly Thanks. I was very impressed with your video. Early days on the hunt for the solution. Pitty it's a multilayer PCB. Harder to see where the traces go. Maybe I should just solder another fuse in. But, as I have seen in other places on the web - the fuse probably blew for a reason. I'll buy more than one slow blow fuse from Jaycar.
@@paulgaastra2308 yes get 2 fuses, it's worth soldering another one in. Some fuses just wear out over time. The worst thing can happen is that it pops again
I finally got round to fixing the machine. It was the power MOSFET that was cooked. I couldn’t find one of those so I found a equivalent from DigiKey: TK8P60W5RVQCT-ND. I also found an equivalent 1A fuse, DigiKey: F6007CT-ND. The machine goes well. Thanks heaps.
hey paul have this code49 water from hose poured into the back and then stupidly got turned on and now shows this error code do you think it shortened it out and needs replacement fuse or is the whole electronics fried?
Gosh, good question. It may have popped that fuse. It hasn't popped the main fuse otherwise nothing would work at all. I would remove the display panel and dry everything out as much as you can with a hairdryer. Maybe even pull apart the control unit like in the video and put it in the sun for a day. Then try again. Good luck
been fixing W/M myself for like 9 years now - i only self leant.. This video has giving me a more indeepth look at the TECH side of it..
thnx Paul P
Thanks for the great help.
Hi Paul, I will be trying this to our W/M. May I know if the transistor is a mosfet or a triac?
Ummmm, don't know.
I Googled 1N60C and it says MOSFET
Amazing work, most technicians would just replace the whole PCB.
Thank you. Yes they probably would!

No sorry I don't know.
My electronic knowledge isn't very good

@@paulywooly More like five fuses. I'll let you know how I get on. May take days

Great video mate, Thanks

Hey mate do you have wiring diagram pictures please? I have two of the same wire and I totally forgot to take a photo which one is which.
No sorry I don't, but usually the wire plugs are designed to fit into their own socket only. What 2 wires do you have and where to they go to?
