Father and Son by Cat Stevens. Father and son was a huge, huge running theme in the series. TL dealing with his dad’s suicide. Seeing Sam’s dad being supportive to Sam and immediately contrasted by Jamie’s dad abusing him in the locker room. Just to name a few examples. And the song is playing while Ted is going home. To his son. Perfect song to end a perfect series.
I love that earlier in the season they had Roy express his affinity for Julie Andrew’s as Maria in The Sound of Music. That along with him subtly singing along shows that he was the ringleader behind it
Roy Kent’s mouthing of the lyrics to “Let it go” wasn’t begrudging. He did it unconsciously; I’m sure he’d watched it many times with his niece Phoebe.
I love this series and when they did the sound of music for Ted's goodbye song I lost it.. Was really happy that Nate found his way back to himself. The violin montage was lovely
So glad Spiegel im Spiegel (Nate on the violin) was included on this list. Perfect song. Perfect underscore to the boardroom scene with Rebecca defending against the Ukufu super league. As Nate the Great would say, "That's lovely".
I know there are comments that they thought the “So Long, Farewell” performance was too cheesy or whatever, but I loved it 😆. I was smiling SO big 😄. Plus with Ted’s planning of the “Bye Bye Bye” performance for Dr. Sharon, it seemed like they knew it was something he’d love ☺️. I do also think “3 Little Birds” and “Enjoy” should have been more than honorable mentions, and I think “Forever” from the scene where Ted and Rebecca officially break up should have been an honorable mention 💚
"So Long, Farewell" was a unique moment in my long tv viewing history where I was equally and simultaneously laughing uncontrollably (especially at the moment it became clear what they were doing) and leaking out of my eyes uncontrollably. The combination of silliness and deeply touching quality was like nothing else.
Where is Higgins playing in the club in Amsterdam? And agree with others, Father and son should be there. It is basically one of the themes of the whole show.
One of the jewel of Ted Lasso is the music! Love all the picks but also the song Fought and Lost by Sam Ryder and a beautiful game by Ed Sheeran are worth mentioning! ♥️😭
I thought the “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” when Jamie was teaching Roy Kent how to ride a bike could have been mentioned as is was a good spoof of that scene from “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”.
Ted and Beard making their Hamilton reference in the pub; the beats of that song perfectly performed by Sudeikis and Hunt just made this theatre kid’s heart smile!!! ❤❤❤
Honorable mention to the scene where coach Beard is getting chased out of the press room by angry reporters, as he passionately argues with them over opinions of classic rock guitarists. This scene literally had me running to the bathroom lol, I was dying! 😂
My fave is the ending when Ted is beginning to come to terms with letting go of Michelle, and the ending song is Bob Dylan's Don't Think Twice, It's Alright, about the bittersweet end of a relationship. Gave me chills. Also loved Rebecca's Let It Go of course, and beard dancing to Hello 😁
Picking out one favourite moment from this show is like asking me to pick out my favourite child. Can't be done. Really, it was the perfect show--humour, sadness, great characters who evolved in wonderful and unanticipated ways, fantastic acting, you name it. So many lines that I will never forget: Roy's "f-----------ck". Ted's "Be curious, not judgmental" darts game soliloquy. "I'm Trent Crimm.................Independent." I could go on and on but suffice it to say that I will miss this show so very much.
I almost sh*t my pants when I heard the song “Sometime in the Morning” in one of Nate’s scenes. Nobody ever plays the Monkees. Ever!! And, I loved their music when I was a kid. Such an obscure song, too.
Agree with all *except* number one 'So Long, Farewell'. For me it was just too twee and sugary. I know part of the charm is that it's so silly and childish, but it was a step too far for my palate.

number 6 was really touching...
Surprised they didn’t include “Father and Son” from the series finale on this list. Now that’s a teary eye moment.
That's a bs snub for sure
I agree.

literally couldnt have picked a better song to end this wonderful show
The way Jamie completely owns the group dance is hilarious.

Roy Kent’s mouthing of the lyrics to “Let it go” wasn’t begrudging. He did it unconsciously; I’m sure he’d watched it many times with his niece Phoebe.
And the actor is such a fan that he says he couldn’t stop mouthing along to the song.

I’m so glad the Le Cage aux folles ‘I am what I am’ made the list! That part literally made me cry!
Greatest show in a very long time.
Where is Higgins playing in the club in Amsterdam? And agree with others, Father and son should be there. It is basically one of the themes of the whole show.
Exactly!
One of the jewel of Ted Lasso is the music! Love all the picks but also the song Fought and Lost by Sam Ryder and a beautiful game by Ed Sheeran are worth mentioning! ♥️😭
Absolutely!
I love that song Fought and Lost! It played on the end credits. I had never heard it before. I googled the lyrics and found Sam Ryder ❤
Definitely
I love in the episode when Roy is sat in the ice bath and Dani comes in, he's singing the theme tune in Spanish then it cuts into the credits.
The music from S3E12 was impeccable!
She's a Rainbow is my favourite scene by far. This song haunted me
Honorable mention to the scene where coach Beard is getting chased out of the press room by angry reporters, as he passionately argues with them over opinions of classic rock guitarists. This scene literally had me running to the bathroom lol, I was dying! 😂

This list just made me smile from ear to ear. Thank you
Nate's violin solo: cause it perfectly backed Rebecca's speech...
How the hell did you know that I finished Ted Lasso yesterday?
This was the greatest series ever
I think you missed “Jamie Tartt” (Baby Shark)”
Father and Son as the TD finale should’ve been #1, as well as the finale of this countdown
I nearly hurt myself laughing when the theme from Peaky Blinders was used to reveal Roy wearing the tiedye shirt
Also when they played Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen.😅
This could been an easy top 20
the FUNERAL Song is undisputed 😢🔥
I almost sh*t my pants when I heard the song “Sometime in the Morning” in one of Nate’s scenes. Nobody ever plays the Monkees. Ever!! And, I loved their music when I was a kid. Such an obscure song, too.
There's nothing about this list not to love! Bottom line, it’s good to be Apple when licensing music!
Love this show if u are having a bad day just watch Ted Lasso
The Cat Stevens medley at the end needs to be on here somewhere.
8:49 looks like were getting that team up after all
You’ll never walk alone is a football anthem for a lot of clubs most famously Liverpool FC.
TBF, you'll never walk alone is a very well known football anthem already especially for Liverpool
Rainbow should be no.1
Higgins’s bass performance in Amsterdam didn’t even get an honorable mention? Shame! Shame! Shame!
Colin's Jumpman performance should have been included in the honorable mentions.
For me, being an AFC Ajax fan it has to be Three Little Birds at the end of the "Sunflowers" episode.
There is a man one said...
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you.
Y'all forgot Higgens joining the jazz band in Amsterdam for Chet Baker's Let's Get Lost.
Request: hey! can you do a video on best sodheim songs for sleeping? Pretty please with a cherry on top?
I'm surprised that Justin Timberlake doesn't see it 8:44
It's kind of weird that you say what the song title translates as, rather than the actual title, which is "Spiegel im Spiegel"
I wish that this show didn’t get cancelled or ended after 3 seasons on Apple TV.
The Celeste song when Roy and keeley link up is not here that absurd
The "Heartbent, Fart Scent" song not being in the top 10 is a big fail.
What’s the music name on the part when Coach Beard started go to a club and started dance on s 2 episode 9. I’ve been looking for the music name?
It’s Martin Solvig and Dragonette ‘Hello’
❤
Mojo clearly not familiar with Liverpool
They’re so good at pretending to be footballers that I forget that in real life they’re all just grown up theatre kids
I can’t believe you would cut off the finale right before the big reaction. Severely disappointing. 13:28
I came to hear the music, not some narrator blathering on and on.
WTFno Cat Stevens
👏👏👏😍🥲😍👏👏👏
Father and son is top 5. So Long Farewell shouldn’t be in the top 8.
Worst scene in the final.
And, it’s from The Sound of Mucus, which is what Christopher Plummer, not so affectionately, called the musical.
Agree with all *except* number one 'So Long, Farewell'. For me it was just too twee and sugary. I know part of the charm is that it's so silly and childish, but it was a step too far for my palate.
