Beard overcommitting to the bit with Ted's irl coaching makes me so happy, like how he literally THREW HIMSELF OUT OF A CHAIR to play along with Ted getting Nate to believe in himself. Ted and Beard are a dynamic duo and I love them
I discovered this show on a cross continent flight through a really low point in life. I have been watching it over and over again for the last 6 months coz it gives you the kind of comfort nothing else can give. The last season is flawed and yet you overlook it coz this show gave you so much.
Completely agree, this show is so special! Last season may have been flawed but it was still sincere and heartfelt, I still love it!
I thought the final season was a perfect way to end the show.

I can not imagine how many people would show up to Ted’s funeral if he passed. The lives he touched in 3 years in Richmond is minute to how many more he will touch in his future endeavors.
The college he coached at, the Richmond players, the staffs of both organizations, the fans of both, rival coaches that garnered his respect, the future teams you mentioned.
I love the restaurant scene. Cuz in the beginning of the day Trent to was skeptical about everything that was Ted, after sharing a meal with him he realized that Ted is simple as they come
Not simple just decent and kind.
You can tell Sam bought in way before everyone else.
Brendan and Jason have such good chemistry you can tell they’ve been working together for a long time
What's beard and Ted right? If i remember correctly they were college friends and the idea of Ted came up around then. Or something similar
@@beardedfool5865 yes !! I’m not sure about college, but I know they were in the Chicago groundlings together and have been in other shows and productions together. Beard (Brendan) was a writer on some stuff Jason was in too
4:20 I like to think this is why Trent decided to write his book. Ted reminded him of his love to write and maybe didn’t love journalism as much
I am more than half way through this life of mine and I truly love television. I have watched more tv than I care to admit. Having said that this show warmed my heart like no piece of entertainment ever has. I am grateful that it was made!

Is it me or I’ll never forgive Ted’s ex wife for giving up and going straight to the marriage counselor
Ted would probably tell us that forgiveness is key and that letting go isn’t giving up😂 but as far as the marriage counselor situation…..I’m not gonna lie something about that relationship feels unethical to me
@@kayf.9250It was HELLA unethical. He probably used stuff Ted told him in confidence to heighten his chances with Ted’s ex-wife.
I wish they would have at least addressed it. Just have her “prove” in some what that she didn’t cheat and she went to him after everything was done. Still wrong, but wouldn’t hate her as much.
I didn't have an issue with her falling out of love with Ted but yeah the marriage consular thing was weird.
Recently rewatched the whole show. It's roughly 18 months after counseling had ended, so no, not straight after, but yeah, it's weird every time I watch it.
Tell yous all something tho, there’s a lot of life lessons to be learnt in this show, kinda light bulbs moments ❤️
