Dear Will, I like your presentation for two reasons. Firstly, you are an eloquont speaker. Secondly, you explain the content with minimum words and maximum meaning. I request you to make some videos on mineral calculations.

Hi Bishnu, thanks for your comment, it's much appreciated! You can find some information on mineral calculations in the Mineral Chemistry series, but also feel free to drop a comment with a more specific question!

A trace element is one that does not occur as a stoichiometric component an any mineral phase. It can be assumed that they follow Henry's law -- but if they don't they're not trace elements.

Thanks alot, good series. Hope to find a good textbook in geochemistry special in distribution of elements in different rock type, tectonic setting and different ore deposits as well as keys and reasons for enrichment and depleted of different elements.

I'd suggest the following text books: Igneous Petrogenesis by Wilson, Principles of Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology by Winter, and Ore Deposits by Ridley

I don't understand why calc-alkaline liquid line of descent is straight. If the Magnetite is crystallizing why the composition doens't moves towards M? Why it stays constant between M and F while moving towards A?

Faites une vidéo sur la modélisation des sources des liquides avec les lois de Rayleigh pour la fusion partielle, la cristallisation fractionnée et le mélange magmatique
