I would like to turn on windshield wipers on to the slow setting, meaning if it is just drizzling, the wipers will periodically wipe every 5 seconds... is there an option for that? Thanks!
You're welcome.
If you mean intermittent mode, no. The closest thing to intermittent mode is the AUTO mode, it detects if theres rain or not. If there isn’t much rain, it will operate like intermittent mode,

Turn ignition on, then off again. Then press and hold wiper lever all the way up until the wipers stop in a vertical position.
Very informative, I have had my X1 for 2 months, could not get the rear wipers to work.
Badly designed in my opinion.

I have a 2006 x3, and I haven't found the windshield washer button, I have looked in the manual, and and I still can't find it! I have been able to use the wipers this past weekend, bu t no washer fluid feature yet! PLEASE HELP!
