I’ve quit watching so many others, because it’s just not REAL. Keep doing what you’re doing, and make sure you make time for your wife and family! That’s what’s the most important in life. I think slowing down and concentrating on what makes you happy is what’s best for you and this channel. Continue to keep it real. The ZR1 content is awesome. I think this may be an aftermath of greed. Not saying your greedy but having to many cars is sort of showing greed. I think you need to get rid of the corvette and keep 2 valve blucifer and the new mustang. Hope everything works out for you.

Hey Bro , I own a mobile Detailing business and currently experiencing the same feeling with losing passion and motivation and being burnt out . I’ve also noticed pressure . The pressure comes from having to fight through the adversity because you have so much responsibility with all the responsibilities and ownership of the things you own . Hang in there and maybe just use the ZR1 for personal satisfaction and not content . Just focus on a couple of cars far as content and always remember that you are still EXTREMELY BLESSED Brother !!!

It's funny you say this brother. I worked my way up to a brand new GT350 mustang. I thought I had it all. But I drove the stupid thing to volunteer at a soup kitchen once. I felt so out of place, to see most people there driving 500 cars, and just needing basic necessities. I felt bad. Cars are just cars .....
Derek, it’s been over a month since I watched and commented on your channel. It’s also when I unsubscribed. Even after having done that this latest VLOG of yours popped up on my feed anyway. Maybe that’s a sign? Anyway, If you recall I have zero interest in Chevy content on your channel. I came here for Ford content, namely Mustangs. However, I also enjoy watching you open up to your audience when the conversation turns more personal. Your enthusiasm can be infectious and that’s the coolest thing about you. It would have been great to see the coverage on those oil pump gears. I have a keen interest in this area. It was my understanding that Ford addressed the weaknesses of the gears in the 3rd Gen with the 4th Gen. I would have liked seeing your input on that. That said, you should follow your passion whatever that is. If it happens to be Mustangs then I’ll follow your passion again too. 🙂
I get it. At the start of this summer I had 8 cars, 3 motorcycles, 2 snowmobiles, and a SxS. As I am somewhat OCD in keeping them clean maintaining it all is a time job, plus I run a weekly car meet in my town, and I have a surgically fused lower lumbar spine that causes chronic pain and really limits what I can do in a day. I sold 2 cars and a motorcycle over the summer, that helped a bit but I think I need to sell one more car. At least the weekly car meet is finished for the season as winter approaches. I'm almost twice your age and I still haven't learned how to slow myself down so don't beat yourself up over it. First world problems, I know.

Definitely recommend to take some downtime and relax! Plus do what makes YOU happy. I recently sold my mustang to get a suv. My girlfriend and I plan on doing some overlanding camping stuff. Plus I’ve rediscovered a old hobby of mine. It’s actually fishing. I started doing some fishing tournaments with my woman. It definitely has made me more happy than the mustang ever has. Life is too short. Do what makes you happy man!

Life gets overwhelming sometimes brother, take it from me, I feel the snowball effect sometimes and need to take a breather. Having the S650 torn apart and not working is not helping the situation. My advice is to count your blessings not your curses. It's very hard to keep spinning plates all at the same time and give everything enough attention to feel progress and keep interest. Maybe slow it down a little and focus on maybe 1 or 2 things at a time. I used to have hotrods and classic cars, personally I like muscle cars in general. I have become a fan of modern muscle cars and that is how I found your channel. I like both the Mustangs and the Corvettes, but that's just me. I used to try to please everyone and no matter what you do, you can't please everyone. Perhaps starting a separate chevy channel for you and your wife's cars may help? That way you avoid the hate on this channel. I watch all your content I like it all, keep your head up and you will find what makes you happy. I got myself in your position a couple times with my old cars and sold everything to start new with a new passion. Did dirtbikes and off roading with Tacomas/4runners and Jeep. Sold just about everything feeling the same as you are now. I realized I just needed to slow down and enjoy life now, not always chase the what next, what ever comes next is going to come. Stay up don't let it get you down.

Yea I get home owner thing bought our house last yr and it's always something to be done or fixed. Was working 60hr a week at a w2 job and mowing/ pressure washing on side with 3 kids for sure get burnt out quick. Need to find one car and just go all in on one thing at a time keep it for a min enjoy it sell it then on to the next one.

Derek, love the channel and your content. This happens when you are driven and accomplish what seems to be a life accomplishment and then you left to consider, what next? I have been there and you will regain the fire. Coupled with people on the channel losing it because you divert from the image or content they want. That has to be disappointing to you. What I like about the channel is your personality and the characters of your friends, the cars and the actual things I learn from what you do to cars. Keep going and I will keep watching.
I can relate. I too have have 7 vehicles. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of your labor. What makes my hobbies more enjoyable in my old age (I'm 46) is having my sons to share it with. I am not saying having kids is the answer but I'm very thankful for my 3 kids and the ability to share my passion with them and to pass things on to them (vehicles and knowledge). I really appreciated all your videos but this one I appreciate the most because it shows that you are human. Keep your head up young man.
Well you have a wife, care for her, watch after her, appreciate that more. Too many cars as well. But yeah you need a pick up truck. You need to add an off road Car, like a jeep, your probably bored of muscle cars too many. Buy 4 wheel ATVs, get a trailer take your wife out camping, change the view it doesn’t have to always be muscle cars do different content.

Brother this is why I was saying don’t buy the S650 and definitely don’t sell Mach 1… we don’t need to the newest things unless YOU need it, I just want to see you build these cars from the ground up from a personal perspective, maybe do car reviews again, and not just buy em lol you know? Make vids about that. Focus on 2Valve again, most of us OG followers would love to see more of that too.
Derek: Being a collector of anything is a journey of refinement. You go crazy accumulating things and then you become more exclusive in your taste. It's not about the number but the quality. I went through that with so many things and eventually your whittle it down to what really makes you happy. Quality is much better than quantity. You have to be happy with 3 cars instead of 7. It's about you being happy. I really do believe you took on a little more than you needed. With that it made you feel obligated to do stuff on each car. That's draining.
I have a mustang gt myself but I love the zr1 content! Such an amazing car and it’s making me think about getting a c7 stingray next! Also man sounds like you just need a break take some time to relax with friends and family, you got this

As someone with a small channel (5.8k) people often suggest like “do this car thing!!” Or “do that shop thing!!! You’ll get so many views!!!” I’ve always said my channel has always been grown organically on things I care about, the way I want to do it. If it takes off great, if it doesn’t? Great, I still have the shop and my business. Is it a goal to “make it” on the platform? Of course it is. But I’m not going to lose myself to do it… I’d detest my channel, and my content, and lose myself if I did that….. sorry you’re having a rough patch man, but I’m also glad you’re being self aware, been watching since the blue2v days and I know you’ll do the right thing for you, your channel, and your life and get out of the funk! I wondered when this video was gonna come. There has been so much that changed in your life this year. Big new house, and it was like a new car every month. You let yourself get overwhelmed. You're doing the right thing though. You've stepped back, and are reassessing things. That passion will come back. Just gotta let yourself breathe.

I think you may just need a little break or like a vacation. I also think you should try something else like start going to tracks, off-road, content, derby, content, drift content anything kinda like that. I feel if you keep doing the same thing over and over and just building the cars basically the same it’s just gonna get boring.
Very true man the passion for cars does come and go, it’s always there but sometimes feels really stale and I think it’s something every car guy faces. I’m only on my 3rd mustang but I’m constantly thinking about the next mod or selling my car and working my way towards something better and better than questioning if any of it is even worth it. I think you just have to find passions and hobbies in doing other things to keep everything balanced out

I’ve watched your channel for years and I don’t even like mustangs. I’m a huge Chevy guy. As a content creator myself (babe approved rides on UA-cam), I enjoy watching other creators style and passion. I was pumped when you got the zr1. But I completely understand the hate. We are primarily a Chevy channel (c10 trucks and big ls engine builds) and I have been building a Bronco and people are pissed. I just don’t understand it truly. These people act like their family name is ford or Chevy. Cool rides are cool rides. Keep it up and do what you wanna do. Subscribers may leave but more new subscribers will join and be even more loyal. Best wishes!
I’ve only owned 2 sports cars at once and it was a bit to handle, I couldn’t imagine 7. I sold everything, paid off the house, and now I just have 1 project car and couldn’t be happier. I just try to focus now on my relationship with God, reading the Word, and striving to be the man He wants me to be. Everything else comes second.

My personal opinion, maybe another project after the s650 is done.. maybe a 3v mustang 05-09 something that’s not really been on the channel and the perfect candidate for an autocross/track or the drift build.

I’ll never get tired of watching your channel derek. People like you, Itsjusta6, that guy Marin, are all creators that got me into cars and brought that itch into my life! Even further more you channel is the reason I own my current 14’ GT/CS! Always wanted one because of blucifer then you did that video with Gordon and my car and I was sold on it! Boredom/ feeling stagnant is normal man, just gotta find the love and passion again! Just know everything you show in your videos is what a lot of us dream to obtain, and every video is further proof and motivation that it’s possible for each and every person watching. I feel man, being a home owner and maintaining it, while having 3 cars 2020 accord 04 350z 07 bmw 335i, a hayabusa, 2 jetskis, sxs yxz1000r, grindind with starting content creation, keeping my girlfriend happy, working 12hr swing shifts. helping other people with their cars, fixing issues or helping when they break down. installing parts. ect... and now being impacted by huricane helene and dealing with insurance, no power, bad cell service, home damage. stress buildsss and its not hard to get overwhelmed. but just got to take a breathe and take 1 step at a time and do what you can! I think its awesome putting effort into helping people in need at this time!

Hey man I've been watching your channel for years. I have seen you always seemingly moving on to the next great thing, seeking fulfillment in what you have. I just want you to know that true fulfillment comes from God and a relationship with him through his son Jesus. Matthew 6:33 says " But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Christ is our fulfillment. I'd encourage you to consider reading scripture and asking God to help you see its application in your life. Keep grinding!
Brother! Ignore the haters and all the negativity, look at everything YOU have BUILT. Look at everything you've done man it's amazing. Keep the grind and change it up do what YOU enjoy
Slow down. Just slow down and reassess and step back and look from a 30k foot level . You got your dream car. Enjoy it , slightly build it. Start moving the other cars out. Don't create unrealistic expectations for you will set yourself up for failure. You have a house, you're married etc. Step back, reassess then focus on a direction. You're burned out, it happens. You're young so......Just don't do drastic things. Trust me. I've been there done that. I have my collection though i don't do content (i should butttt lol) i will move a car in and out occasionally because all are financial decisions.
Is this your main source of income or a partial that contributes? Look at collabs and doing race days , tracks etc or what you're able to do to add content and get your hunger back. Just reassess. You are in a unique situation and have more than 95% of guys your age :) Sit down, talk to the wifey look at other channels and collabs and cut down on the amount of cars and go to next level or different level opportunities. Not always about quantity but quality . hang in there..
Own the car for you. i was a ford mustang guy growing up. I will always have a place in my heart for mustangs but getting beat on the tracks , at the time, whether quarter or road tracks i fell in love with corvettes. Ford , for a long time, did not do what they needed to do to move the mustang forward. Sat it on the damn ford fairlane chassis forever. Only once went to independent throughout so so so many years. 94 95 96 crap. 97 modular was good low hp, cobra was compromised in 1999. Was for awhile into the 2000's they were coming back. Point is, my generation though we were racers and competitive against rivals, we always had a level of respect. When i had my vettes and friends had mustangs and other cars, we all rolled together . To events, all of it. i used to hang out with two viper owners and we would meet and get pizza with their friends and i was the only one with a z06 and they didnt car. Its not like it is now, with this younger generation , that should be blessed you have so many options of cars that you are actually able to purchase because it wasn't like that for many many year prior to this generation. If they are crying because you have a vette, vette was always on a different level than a mustang. Mustangs direct rival was the camaro. For people to cry about a chevy and you have like 5 stangs is just flat out immaturity. I understand you're trying to keep your base but in the end, its you . You and your wife and what makes you happy. Look at streetspeed. He is a core vette guy but look at his garage now. Look at the mustangs, vipers, mclarens , trucks and his followers don't say a word.
Im older , gen x . Im looking from a different level but have been where you at ( minus the people crying) Worry about you and your wife and you'r happiness and what makes you happy.
Derek…brother. In my opinion if someone hates something you possess aka badass cars. Their hate stems from a place of jealousy. You’ve worked your butt off, embrace it, and be proud of your accomplishments! Keep up the great fight!

Keep up the Zr1 content because you have inspired a diehard Ford guy to actually see the light of the corvette platform. FYI people suck so keep pushing for you and the family don’t let the negativity get to you!
Sorry to hear you’re struggling - we all struggle with our mental health occasionally and as guys we bottle it up. Take time to evaluate your life and cherish the people that enrich your life. They are more important than cars and work. You need to be happy to move forward. Buying things is a short term happiness hit but friends and loved ones are long term happiness goals. Have a vacation, spend time just being with friends. I’ve gone from being very materialistic to living in a smaller property with less ‘stuff’ and enjoying being with people I love and seeing some new places and enjoying new experiences - much love and stay strong! Talking about mental health and happiness is step one on the road 👍
I identify with this video tremendously. As someone who is going to be 30 next year, I am so over Stuff. I sold my Mustang and now I am selling off a lot of things I was collecting. The more simplified I make things the better off I am. I am to the point now where I just invest as much as I can so I can retire as early as possible.

I think you are wrong now. You are young. You are grinding, you are making moves and plays while you can. I think you should film less at the house/ garage and more of hey I’m going to target hey I’m doing this and that. #2 drive an accord for a week. Can’t see your cars can’t get in them can’t drive them. You’ll get a fire under your butt real quick. Also some gaming content would be nice. Hop on Rocket league and come get clapped 😘
I totally get it, I have no idea how car collection guys do it with so many cars. Like, you have 20 cars and you don’t have that much time to spend with them.

Psx2 idk about others but I could watch you hike or kayak or something, we watch the content for you not for the cars man.
