Glad to hear it. A lot of people don’t travel because they have kids, and it’s understandably difficult… but there’s a lot of great memories we have from traveling and I wouldn’t have it any other day.
Glad to hear it! Teenagers can be challenging since they’re often treated like adults with pricing. Great to hear you’re interested in traveling with them. I looking forward to travel when my kids are a little bit older as well.
That is true for cash, but a lot of times not with points. Often you can cancel and get points back. For instance with Southwest you can cancel up to 10 minutes before your flight and get all points back. But that’s not always the case with airlines. With hotels you can almost always get all your points back up to a few days before the booking.
Just starting off this journey with credit cards. Family of 4. Would appreciate a breakdown of how to start of this journey ( with spouse) in building up a credit card portfolio. Great content. Keep it up.
@@EthanPatrick_CreditCards Yes doing well on my end! Just went to Niagara Falls and got a pretty sweet redemption rate for the Hyatt we stayed at! All is well with you I hope?
I’ve had my eye on Niagara Falls actually! My wife really wants to go. Did you stay on the US or Canada side? Everything is good! Been traveling a lot as always haha.
@@EthanPatrick_CreditCards You definitely should! The views are breathtaking! We stayed on the US side but also visited the Canada side. I’d recommend the Canada side if possible as there’s definitely more to do! Forgot to mention I finally got the VX after 13 months of gardening!! Also so glad all is well by you. My girlfriend and I are looking for a domestic trip to take soon. Curious if you have any suggestions?
Hey congrats dude! The Venture X is great! Such an overpowered card. And If you have a giant stash of Chase/Hyatt points then Alila Ventana Big Sur is fantastic. But you can get a lot more bang for you buck at other Hyatt properties. I really liked the Hyatt regency Huntington Beach in California. I’ve had my eye on several properties in Florida and Texas as well, but to be honest I look at Mexico and Hawaii more than mainland US haha! Park city Utah has some world class skiing and snowboarding if that’s your thing, and some valuable Hyatt redemptions there too!
In the US it’s really not too hard. Even if the system shows you can only book a room for 4 the hotel often doesn’t mind bringing an extra person. Hyatt Place and Hyatt house pretty much all have 6 person rooms bookable with points. Outside the US in Europe and Asia room occupancy limits are an issue across many hotel brands not just Hyatt!
Very helpful video. When I have kids I plan to travel all over the world with them

Some great advice. I've got a family of 4 even tho my kids are teenagers.

Thanks Ethan! Getting better and better! 👏👏👏
I appreciate it Samuel! Thanks for watching my videos!
Challenge with booking ahead is that booking cancellable tickets are twice the price of a base fare

Great idea and glad to hear you’re getting started. One thing I can say is definitely try to start with Chase credit cards.
Thank you so much for this video! We have two kids and just got into the credit card game several months ago. This was incredibly helpful!
Hey that’s awesome. Points and miles can be tougher with the kids so glad to hear it was helpful!
Awesome video! I appreciate it. So much good information!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a great video. Thanks for this one Ethan
Thanks Jake and great to hear from you! Hope all is well!
