Great point! We don’t know what it will look like then as the banks don’t disclose this. But I would suspect this will be the last period of such high savings rates for a while.

It’s always a challenge to build up savings but starting small is the way to go.

Most people get their status within 3 weeks and their Caesar’s match within about a week. Once your match goes through you can get your physical card immediately

Not exactly, but many things count as a business that people don’t often think of. Like selling things on Facebook or EBay, or any number of small income side hustles.

That is true for cash, but a lot of times not with points. Often you can cancel and get points back. For instance with Southwest you can cancel up to 10 minutes before your flight and get all points back. But that’s not always the case with airlines. With hotels you can almost always get all your points back up to a few days before the booking.

I think they’re fairly strict, but someone else in the comments said they got approved over 6/24 so there could be exceptions!

Yes they do. You might get around 2-6 months to book them depending on which cruise line. Carnival gave me around 6 months. As far as getting a cruise offer every year it’s not likely if you don’t gamble. It’s most likely a one time intro offer situation, but it’s worth trying if you’ve got nothing to lose! One exception is matching to Ocean Casino in Atlantic City gives you an MSC cruise. You could get this every year you match as long as they keep that as a benefit.

Very nice! We have a lot of Chase cards as well and getting the ink cards for both of us has been the best strategy by far for Chase points.

In the US it’s really not too hard. Even if the system shows you can only book a room for 4 the hotel often doesn’t mind bringing an extra person. Hyatt Place and Hyatt house pretty much all have 6 person rooms bookable with points. Outside the US in Europe and Asia room occupancy limits are an issue across many hotel brands not just Hyatt!

Great question! I recommend applying for one card every 1-3 months if you want to be really aggressive. Any sooner and you’re adding risk of being seen as too aggressive and getting shut down. And your credit will need time to recover between applications as well.

No problem. Your household member needs to combine their personal and business card into one Chase account. This means Chase will add the FU to the account with the CIU. Once that’s done they will be able to move points freely between those cards. At that point they can move points from either card to yours and vice versa. It can all be done through a call and it’s pretty easy. Hope that helps!

Hey Jonathan, great question. Many UA-camrs will simply put all their spend on the card, including personal spending. This is how most meet these bonuses. Hey congrats dude! The Venture X is great! Such an overpowered card. And If you have a giant stash of Chase/Hyatt points then Alila Ventana Big Sur is fantastic. But you can get a lot more bang for you buck at other Hyatt properties. I really liked the Hyatt regency Huntington Beach in California. I’ve had my eye on several properties in Florida and Texas as well, but to be honest I look at Mexico and Hawaii more than mainland US haha! Park city Utah has some world class skiing and snowboarding if that’s your thing, and some valuable Hyatt redemptions there too!
