Thanks for sharing. When Allen passed i know some of his trucks were sold but i always thought this one got donated to a museum. My late son and i followed gaines and this legendary truck for years everytime he came to michigan. Always wanted to build a replica of it, but maybe someday

Thank you. Glad to know she is still around and intact. My Dad took me to a tractor pull I would say in 84 or 85 at the Rosemont horizon in Illinois. That was the highlight seeing the orange blossom special. He did his pull and at the end the front was up still and he was blowing the whistle the crowd went crazy it was awesome. I still have my playschool toy of it.
I remember when I seen this truck in Toronto way back in the 80,s I think there was even two tanks at the time great video and top notch pulling trucks back then.
That tank in the cab with the pressure gauge is an accumulator for oil pressure.basically if the engine looses oil pressure that tank is full of oil and once it sees pressure drop it basically forces oil back into the engine and since this truck would do such long wheelies it would most definitely need it in case of no oil pressure. Definitely cool video of a truck I loved as a kid and I also had the little toy truck with the 2 levers coming out the roof

Great video, I used to go to the truck pulls and monster truck races back in the day when it was under the US hot rod association. This truck and the Budweiser boss were my favorite, you need to track down that truck whereabouts!!!

I'm in Lexington, too, and grew up watching Allen and all his trucks. I got to meet him and his wife just before he died. Super nice people. I just found out Eddie also has Midnight Express, and the OBS Ranger and OBS super mod 4wd Chevy are in Georgetown and owned by a guy I've done some work for!

Bigfoot's 50th Anniversary will be held at their open next year in Pacific, MO. I talked with them recently and they mentioned that they are already making plans for it and will be their biggest open house event. Nice job on the video.

Man, I've got a few of the original model kits in my stash, I started building one years ago. But there really weren't any close up reference photos that I could find for things like the plumbing, wiring, what distributor did it run, etc etc Thank you so much for this amazing video! One of the coolest pulling trucks of all time!
Awesome video. I have been holding into the AMT kit for decades with plans to build this truck. And a good thing I waited. This video shows stuff that I would had never done on the model build. That truck used to 1 of 3 1937 Chevy pickup trucks .the names were the falcon the falconer ,the falconet this truck used to have the picture oh the steel tailgate wit to little kids in a dirt pile. It showed the boy throwing dirt in the girls face .the caption said I throow dirt in your face. The other two were long beds the 4x2 long bed had one rodak Chevy engine .the 4x4 long bed had 2 rodak Chevy engines. All 3 trucks rodak Chevy engines were 2500 horse power each .I live in Santa Rosa CA it ha been many years and I will never forget these trucks Denis from Santa Rosa CA

Would you say the color of the fenders are black metallic or a dark brown metallic? Model kit says Cadillac Firemist Brown Metallic or Black. Some videos they look dark brown. Would make sense that they would be dark brown metallic. Goes great with the metal flake orange.
The fenders always looked black to me, but Cadillac did have a dark brown that was almost black so I guess it's possible. I'll try to get a real close look at it this Jan at the indoor pull, thanks for watching!
Nice video to bad they can't keep them covered up while not is use. Allen would of never let this happen. So they Trans is Turbo 400 with ATI converter. The tank is in Bakerfields CA in excellent condition.

I dont know if you have looked for the truck King of the Road it is a Peterbilt .It was popular in the 80's as well .I can tell you were it was built and who built it it was built in Wyoming Iowa and the owners name was Don Bucholtz .how I know this is he is a realitive of mine

I was pulling super stock two wheel drives with Eddie back in the early 90s. He stayed with it and his operation has really grown.
