I am now in week two of the second semester of my didactic program and I have to say, everything you said about keeping our heads down and being highly agreeable--essentially not trying to shine or make waves--is spot on with everything our professors have explained to us. Additionally, the bit about the apps you suggested in the video is extremely helpful, and I will be sure to disseminate that info to the rest of my cohort 😊 I am definitely looking forward to the study tips video, as I am whole-heartedly a self-admitted perfectionist who, in nursing school, studied every single detail of everything. I have been warned many times over already that the perfectionist study style does not typically equate to success in a CRNA program, simply due to the plethora of new information accompanied by limited time to learn it all. I am super nervous, but I would love some tips for people such as myself, specifically focused on what some successful methods of studying might include. Great video!
Girl, the slow zooms KILLIN’ me!! I love this video and I am about to start LSUHSC’s program in 2 months. I am so ready but terrified. Looking for all the resources I can get. Thank you for the video, the inspiration, and keeping it real with us!! You are stunning and I can’t wait to be a fellow CRNA.
I love your videos. They make it so much easier for me to plan my future for what I want to do. I have watched all of the top CRNA videos, you need to make more days in the life of a CRNA, with clinical footage! I know it takes a lot of time to do but it is so helpful and motivates me more than ever! Everything you say makes complete sense and makes me feel more comfortable and less scared to go through this journey. I am trying to make my way to the ICU through nurse residency, but it is just so hard. 7 more months until I am a RN, and I will get there and get in that ICU. Thanks forr being you!
@@TheWildFam most days went great! But there were a few of days I wanted to drop off an application at a popular local gas station in WI called Kwik Trip. :)
Thank you for taking the time to make this video for everyone! I really appreciate the tips and suggestions for studying, apps, preparation, etc. I'm a current SRNA and about to start full time clinical rotations, so this helped in focusing my planning for those days. Thank you again!
Thank you for the tips & pearls Sarah! It’s good to hear that putting in the time and energy will pay off. Will you vlog how to kick GRE @$$ ?!?! It’s coming up in December and any recs are appreciated 📚🤓
@@TheWildFam yess bc everyone iss so scared of the GRE..i have friends that are applying for their MBA and have not applied to schools requiring it bc they are so shook
Love this video. I just started clinical 2 months ago so I am literally in the hell phase right now. Really appreciated all your tips. Something kind of off topic though, where did you get your notebooks?
Reminder that its not longer 8 years or a masters degree you now need a Doctorate degree its now 9 years to get your CRNA degree or perhapsi'm wrong? i really dont mind either way LMAO thanks for the video
My goal is to be a CRNA can’t really see myself doing anything else , you mentioned most crna being ic nurses is that a requirement to become a nurse anesthetist?
a bachelors degree is required and 1-2 years in the ICU as an RN, and then after that is when you start applying for CRNA schools to obtain a doctorate degree (DNP or DNAP, there isn’t much of a difference but you can research that). i hope this helps!
Sarah no disrespect being that I wrote to you on your other video about fears of anesthesia. But I’m watching this most recent video. Obviously you already know I’m not in the healthcare field but like I said your channel is awesome. I have to say you talk super fast you got a cut back on that coffee girl you just got to. Lol! Have an awesome day. 😉😎🙂👍

I’m not in CRNA school (yet!) but quizlet is my god in nursing school LOL active recall is my fave way to learn
I just finished my first clinical rotation. I adore your honesty, especially in regards to dealing with preceptors. Thank you for the pointers!

You know there is many different routes to Buffalo so if someone does it one way and the next person another I am happy to learn.
Whenever you started doing blocks in clinical were you good at maneuvering the needle? I am currently trying to work on my ultrasound skills.
Thank you for sharing.

Oh I actually meant the big spiral bound ones sitting on your table. Lol.
@@TheWildFam yeah, If that want the cute pink one is.
Where do you see the difference between the Masters and, soon to be required, doctoral degree? Schools seem to be 7-12 months longer.
i thought front loaded meant the books first. That's how it was explained to me

Hi I’m 16 and considering becoming a crna. I was just wondering if u needed a masters degree to go into the program?
