Hi! Thank you for this video. I’m a retired CRNA. I practiced in a small community hospital for 26 years and our day to day experiences appear to be quite similar. I think an important aspect of medicine is knowing your nurse anesthetist or anesthesiologist is confident in their knowledge and skill. With any surgery I’ve had, the anesthesia workers on my case were so open and glad to share their confidence and THAT is what put me to ease during my surgeries. You all are often in the background but you are so incredibly appreciated. Your confidence and love for your job goes miles. We thank you!

New to your channel! Just got accepted into nursing school. I’ll be watching all your videos to follow along!
I felt inspired, I'm going for it!!
Greeeat a new CRNA to my newsfeed! Love it! CRNA has been my dream for at least 10yrs but this past year, with COVID...ya girl got a liiitle burnTout🥵 lol I work both ED & ICU as a traveler with ED being my home! In the meantime, until I figure things out, I’m approaching the end of my 1st yr of FNP school🤞🏾 But CRNA is STILL on my heart! We.will.see! Please keep the content coming 🤙🏾
Anesthesia is very cool but also very scary! And not sure how you handle watching all those surgeries. Thank goodness for people like you! 🙏💖
Oh look they get ready for work in the morning!!! Ha ha I was wondering!!! So glad that is cleared up!! Brilliant
I ALWAYS wanted to be a nurse.
At the age of 40 (2020) I left one of Detroit's tops hospital after working as an MA for 20 years.
I gave up and lost my purpose.😥
God Bless you and I'm so Happy for you and your family💯😷💖💖💖💖
It’s not too late to go back.
Being an MA for 20 years was a purpose, I was an MA for a couple of years prior to becoming a registered nurse, being an MA previously definitely helped me with nursing school

26 about to be 27 in a few months, feel a little old making a career change (I wanted to be a CRNA at 22, changed due to life changes). P.s your videos are so relaxing to me.
There is no better time than the present!! If you want it, do it! I will be 35 in August and graduate with my ADN this December. I plan on going into ICU/CCU with the ultimate goal to become a CRNA. I kick myself everyday for not starting school earlier!
More CRNA content please 😊💖

@@TheWildFam you're*
Starting the Practical Nursing program this September 2021 & this is my dream job to eventually end up doing 🤩
I like that you are continuing your education but please go to get your RN. I completed a 4 year course in 2 years 8.months. My grades were top of the class and you can do it. Same classes same things and a lot m9re money for your risk
And you are at great risk. Please consider this.
@@eunicestone838 I will bridge eventually but I'm doing RPN first as I'd like to start working as soon as possible.
What a wonderful caring professional you are!
I had a very quick emergency c-section. My baby crashed and I crashed.
My baby was face up and when I had a contraction her face pushed against my stomach and she stopped breathing. I started hemorrhaging. I have Lupus and that caused some issues but everything turned out OK!!
I’m a retired RN. I worked in labor and delivery for about 2 years and the newborn nursery for over 20 years. I sure do miss working. I love watching these kind of videos but then I get kind of sad that my time is up.
I’ve wondered what a CRNA does. Very interesting, I enjoyed watching your video!
If you ever see my daughter, Audrey, introduce yourself! I’ve told her you work at same hospital, but she said she doesn’t think she’s met you.
(She works afternoons/evening, so you may never see her.) She’s currently working as a phlebotomist while she finishes up her BA for Medical Laboratory Scientist!
Love this video!! So glad I found your channel! CRNA is my dream job!
Question: I am currently a CNA, I want to got to school for CRNA so I have a long way to go!! How did you maintain a lifestyle going to school and work to become CRNA!!??
Just found your channel. Love your positive attitude!
This is my dream job I have a long journey ahead of me but this keeps me so excited and motivated thank you for this wonderful video❤ New subscriber 👍

Hello From Indiana. New Subscriber here. I've had a ton of different surgical procedures.. 23 to be exact.. But all of my anesthesia results haven't always been the Best experience for me unfortunately.. I would've Loved to had a loving caring Nurse like you each time.. Not all of my surgeries we're a negative experience. Only 4 or 5 times. I've woke up while being operated on . that's a scary feeling. Because i could hear everything the Dr. And Nurses we're saying at the time. Its not a pleasant experience. But i found this video so informative.. Thanks for sharing.. And thank you for being a front line worker !! God Bless you !!
@@TheWildFam aww Sweetheart, Thank You So much for your sweet comment.. It touched my Heart.. I wish we all had more caring Nurses like you.. I definitely wish you'd be my anesthesiologist for my next surgery.. I know i wouldn't be as scared about having it done. Take Care Sweetie. Hope you and your Family have a Happy Memorial Day Weekend! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 thanks again. 😍
More please!!! Great content!
Hello!! Just subscribed to your channel, and I am currently in nursing school for my BSN and I’m 24 years old. This didn’t path of nursing never interest me, although now that I saw this video it really opened my eyes, although I still need a bit to grow through nursing school, and will be exposed to more clinical sites, I like to know that this will be one of my options now! Your soo pretty❤️
I love your videos 👏🏽🔥... please make more🙏🏽
Haha I’ll work on it :)
Im surprised you were prepping meds for the operating room without gloves. I thought everything had do be sterile and untouched by bare hands for the OR?? I LOVE seeing this kind of content! Nurses are one of the professionals i most admire. Im a psycho-social nurse tech, im not supposed to do invasive procedures, just mostly hygienic stuff, wounds and tubing care and meds administration, but to give my best care i still want to learn from the best! You guys! Thanks for sharing your day :D
Our stuff isn’t sterile!! The meds/equipment used on the sterile field is sterile. Anesthesia is above the head in the non sterile field.
@@TheWildFam oooooh okay. I learned something. Thanks a lot for your reply!
Thank you so much for making me feel comfortable and safe!! In the AM, I’m having a port procedure, I pray that I have a beautiful nurse like you tomorrow!! Blessings 💕💕💕
@@TheWildFam hello!! No I didn’t. Reschedule for next Thursday!! I have to take a MRI , I can’t to seem to get in the machine, because of fear. Im taking Xan, it’s not working!! Pray that I can get it, time is of the essence!!
Thank you so much, will do!! 💕💕
I would love a Q&A because I have a lot of questions. Specifically, why is it necessary to use Versed? I know it is a sedative but it has a major side effect which is amnesia and that is not good!
Please explain.
It’s not a necessary drug & some providers don’t use it a lot! Just really dependant on the situation
Thank u for taking the time to share this! What was your journey from new grad CRNA to independent practice? (Current SRNA curious about the best path to take to get necessary experience in order to practice to my license’s full potential). Thank u in advance!! & Please continue to share this content 😊
I actually read the comments of others and saw that you are finishing up your first year as a CRNA. I’m assuming you went straight into this job?...So is it safe to say you felt prepared to take on that amount of autonomy fresh out of school? I know-many many questions 😊, But thank you again!!
It's nice to see what u do and the fact u love it so much!
I am planning on going to nursing school and furthering my career into becoming a CRNA. I was wondering how long you worked as a ICU nurse before going to CRNA school?
3 years!!
Thank you!
Thank you so muchfor this video! I wish my family and I could always have you for procedures and surgeries 🥰🥰❤
Love you
Love your job
Thanks for sharing your life
God bless you beautiful Sarah
Ugh I’m so glad I found you Chanel!! I’m a new grad ICU nurse aspiring CRNA😊 Thanks for showing us a day in your life, such a great video!
Can you do a ‘how I became a CRNA’ video? Pls pls, I graduate nursing school in august and anesthesia has been my dream job since literally I was 5 !!
THANK YOU for making a great video! It’s much more detailed and to the point than others I’ve seen. Do have a question. I know they want ICU experience for CRNA school. I don’t necessarily have ICU experience, but I have 3 years of ED experience in a major trauma center, and 3 years of flight experience. Do you think that would count as ICU experience?
i start nursing school in the fall. i REALLY have always wanted to do crna. my first job when i was 16 was at a major crna company, i worked their front desk lol. fast forward and i haven't started nursing school yet but i struggle so much with self doubt. i am shocked i was even able to take a&p because i thought theres no way im going to be able to take those classes im not smart enough. my dream is to become a crna but seeing all you have to know, and knowing the schooling is insane, i freak out every time i watch a video like this lol. i am hoping to graduate nursing school right now, shoot just make it through my first semester! im taking baby steps but i know with practice things become second nature and of course i have 0 idea about crna educational materials so this video was amazing for me to watch thank you!
@@TheWildFam omg!!! thank you so much for responding!
wow .i damm love this profession.i am studying bns.
I just entered anesthesia residency and this video was inspiring
I love how you mention the meds you use!! You should do a video on some of the meds you use.
Great video! Looking forward to more! Rhonda 🇨🇦
Great videos! Do you have to work every other weekend? And if so could you work at night or evening shift during the weekend?
I cover call about once a month.. and I cover both day and night shift when I do a weekend! It’s good money
