This one of the best CRPGs I have played in the last 20 years at least, buy it and buy the DLC too, depth in this game is amazing, just don't give up at the first difficulty because it is not an easy game.
This game is CBT, even when you have a decent build going. But damn it feels pretty good to feel pressured about using all my resources and never really saving things for later You need to edge out whatever bullshit advantage you can.
The game is sort of open world, not like Skyrim but more like the Neverwinter Nights games, you have seperate locations that you can freely travel between, there are towns where you can acquire quests, trade, talk, loot, kill. etc. You might want to check let's plays out because they are often very truthful to the experience you'll likely experience yourself.
Like Jason Hsu said, this game has a lot to live up to if it's going to throw around names like Fallout and System Shock 2. It's definitely a game to keep watch on, but it really needs to deliver.
This... I am speechless (I should have tagged it ;)), bad puns aside, don't screw this up and you'll have the hearts of many oldschool gamers. I couldn't possibly wish for anything else. Keep up with the awesome work guys!
you are a very mature person indeed. let's hate on everyone that doesn't share my personal gaming tastes! don't worry. I don't think they will change the game to real time just because of me. I just said that it would be better for me, but I don't want to ruin everyone experience. I don't know why I even bother.
looks awesome. I wish it wasn't turn-based though. I would prefer something like the real time from fallout tactics. still, good atmosphere and I also liked the music.
geez. I just said that I prefer real time. no need to resort to offenses. I like turn based games too. played fallout 1 and 2, xcom (both old and new), jagged alliance... but I prefer real time games like baldur's gate, neverwinter, icewind, fallout tactics...
+Sean B If you played Shadowrun Returns, you'd know then how linear and uninteractive that game was. Underrail is the exact opposite of that game. This is a Fallout styled dungeon-crawler rpg trough and trough.
izdatsumcp I love the Shadowrun pen and paper rpg a lot for it's very creative setting and really good stories it tells through it's various campaigns. But I dislike the video games for being missed oportunities, but I don't hate them. Hell I have both Shadowrun games for the SNES and Genesis and the Returns Trilogy. I was a backer for Shadowrun Returns back when the ks was announced. I'd say Shadowrun for the Genesis is the better game, because it takes place in a semi-open world and allows for a lot of freedom of exploration and ways of play. Opposed to the very directed and scripted aspect of the Returns Trilogy for the sake of having the stories told in their way. I mean for fucks sake none of the dialog "options" change anything. When I backed up Shadowrun Returns I was expecting a game that's a balance between the linearity of Shadowrun Snes, but with the open-ended quest design of Fallout. If you've played Fallout1&2 you'd know that almost every quest had multiple ways of approach and multiple outcomes along with multiple endings because of this. Your characters stats and your intuition and knowledge as player also played a huge role in how you'd achieve these. A true ROLE-PLAYING GAME, similar to PnPs. But with the Returns trilogy we got very linear semi-rpgs similar to Vandal Hearts that were clearly made for mobile phones. They're functional games sure and nothing about them is outright bad and with decent stories, but very lacking in the RPG aspect. Which is why UnderRail is such a pleasant surprise and overshadows the new Shadowrun games in quality.
The amount of detail in this looks amazing just from seeing this I hope it does really well

That game is freakin' hard-core
Looks like it could be interesting. Especially the stealth kill system. Wasteland 2 should have had that, dammit.

Your postnatal care was a waste of money.
As a fan of the first 2 Fallout games, I've gotta say this felt so much like them while watching. I hope it's everything it promises to be.
@The Shovel Master Thanks for letting me know, I gotta check it out!
Im assuming you've played the game by now, and if so, how was it?
@@legionary3519 you should try it out. It definitely has that vibe. It is a tad bit more difficult though. Hardcore, no hand holding.
Its grown so much, amazing
is it so hard to make a game like this but from FPS perspective. A true hardcore RPG FPS.
You can make Kickstarter campaign with this!
I can't wait for this game! All of the games it's inspired by are my favorites. I feel like it's being made just for me.
God bless you Styg for this game!
Underrail is already available in alpha version.
Good luck getting it on Steam :). Ive recommended it to everyone I could so far and have a copy of it on Desura :)

This game looks so Fallout
0:45 Fallout 1 moment.
Underrail? But I told Yahoo I was searching for Undertail!

This looks like someone's just dug up some soil and put it somewhere else.
HE STEAL THE MUSHROOM!!!11one
Nice Fallout mod.
Нифига она ещё не вышла.
Y-you too.
That's my point its over 10 years since it has been done. When is someone going to make a true spiritual successor to deus ex? All the fans want it.
geez. I just said that I prefer real time. no need to resort to offenses. I like turn based games too. played fallout 1 and 2, xcom (both old and new), jagged alliance... but I prefer real time games like baldur's gate, neverwinter, icewind, fallout tactics...
